Sirius liked the way he felt when he was drunk. The dizziness, the constant noise in his ears, it felt like floating. Him and Barty went to a pub to celebrate their first show, which explained why he was laying on his friend's lap on a crowded bar. He was talking nonsense and Barty was just a little less drunk than he was. He tried to get up a few times, failing, so he decided to just stay there and ignore the fact that he had to go back to the Gryffindor tower before it was too late, and he got a detention.

He had finally decided to try to get up again when Barty pulled him back to his lap and whispered something in his ear. He knew they were getting really close to each other really fast and it was weird, but he didn’t really give a fuck. He needed it at that point, the closeness. The feeling of Barty’s warn breath against his neck, his hands in his body. Big hands like Remus’s.

“We’re so absolutely fucked.”

It took a while for the words to make any sense to Sirius drunk brain, but when they finally did, he seemed even more confused.

“What the hell are you talking about?”

Barty looked around the pub then looked back at him.

“There’s a prefect here, Sirius,” he said, “it’s past three in the morning.”

Sirius almost fell as he jumped off of his chair. His parents would finally kill him if he got in any more trouble after what he had done before the break.

“We are totally fucked!” Sirius yelled, dragging Barty out of the pub with him.

However, they weren’t fast enough. As soon as they walked out of the pub, they could hear steps following them. Sirius turned around and closed his eyes, ready to make an excuse.

“We’re so sorry, mr prefect,” his words sounded lazy as he spoke to the prefect, he hadn’t even looked who he was talking to yet “I sweearr we're very good boys.”

As soon as he realized the prefect wasn’t laughing, he opened his eyes and Barty let him go from his hug. Big brown eyes looked down at him in a way that made him feel as small as an ant.

“Go home, Sirius,” his voice was weak, almost sounding disappointed “just go back to our dorm.”

Sirius couldn’t even blink, he was so lost in that eyes. The same eyes that made him feel like he was special, the same eyes that he couldn’t stop thinking about. Sometimes, Sirius thought that even if someone obliviate him, his mind would find its way back to those perfect amber eyes.

“Let’s go, man,” Barty said, trying hard to not worry about how that was the first he ever saw Sirius like that, weak “Reg must be worried.”

So, Sirius looked at those eyes just a little more, just to make sure he didn’t forget anything about them.

“Yeah, I guess he is.”

When they started walking back to Hogwarts, Sirius already felt sober from that interaction. He probably looked terrible, and his hair was most definitely a mess, but he tried to act nonchalant anyways. As they entered the school and walked towards the Gryffindor tower, Sirius started to feel numb. He had drunk some shitty drink that Barty swore it was good, and he felt more drunk than ever after that.

Remus took a shower in the bathroom while Sirius simply sat on his bed unable to think of anything. James and Peter were sleeping, Sirius hated to think that if this was a normal Saturday he’d be sleeping too. When Remus came out of the bathroom, a few drops of water ran down his forehead. For some reason Sirius couldn’t explain, he got up and walked calmly towards him, just looking Remus in the eyes.

“Your eyes have a little green in them,” Sirius touched his cheeks “reminds me of the woods.”

Remus took his hand and put it down.

“You’re drunk.”

Completely unable to control himself, Sirius giggled.

“High like a bird, Moony.”

Remus took a few steps back.

“What?” his voice was filled with anger. “So, you’re doing drugs now? I’d ask how can you be so fucking dumb, but I guess not even you know the answer to that. Drink some water, take a fucking shower, get a hold of yourself. You’re not a kid anymore, stop acting like one.”

Sirius didn’t know how to answer that, so he just walked to the bathroom and locked himself in. Remus was right, but he didn’t really care about what was right at the moment. All he cared about was the woods.
