Outline: How Love Blossoms
Summary
an outline for an upcoming fic of mine. this is just a place for me to write down ideas and brainstorm for my first attempt at a longer writing project.feel free to ignore it, or to read it if you want to see the attempt at a planning process of another writer. warning: it may not make complete sense, some things are solely in my head and i’m not certain i’ll do a complete outline.for curious minds, goal deadline for the actual fic is; yet to be decided, sorry.

Arc One

 



arc one: academic rivalry (in herbology)

themes: helping nurture, unlikely relationships, individuality/self-confidence

takes place over 6 weeks (September Start until October Break)

exposition/beginning:

> rivalry starts ~ why - daisha takes her lesson seriously despite teasing of ravenclaw peers. however, she fails a test whereas dirk succeeds. one-sided rivalry begins.

> daisha has confrontation with ravenclaw peers. gets into a fight, becomes mates with barty crouch jr

> daisha watches dirk study alone and respects him, before leaving to befriend sab, barty and rex who help her improve

rising action/middle:

> daisha rejects working with dirk in potions, dirk is uncomfortable with his mates, daisha and someone are gloating

> new herbology project shows up, dnd agree to a challenge in class, daisha has a late night turned early morning studying and notices dirk running in the morning, shared this with mates who tell her she is obsessed

climax:

> new project (keeping a needy magic plant alive for five days) is for partners, daisha and dirk are paired up together, they squabble and fail the initial project, get detentions 

falling action/resolution/end:

> over detentions they get to know each-other, misunderstanding about each-other clears up, becoming friendlier, daisha fights pure-blood bully for dirk, he pranks ravenclaw peers for her

> they work together on an extension for the project and friend groups merge
