Chapter 12
Naruto was sitting alone on the hokage mountain. He was looking at the village below. The village he so dearly loves despite the hatred from its residents.
He was eating ramen alone while looking below. Naruto took his ramen to go as the customers from Ichiraku complained about his presence. The old man tried his best to get them to leave Naruto alone but in the end he decided to get his order to go. He didn’t want the man’s business to plummet because of him. Teuchi did so much for him by giving him food when he was starving, the least he could do is not drive away his customers.
Naruto ate his ramen while humming to himself, thinking about nothing in particular.
“Naruto?”
Naruto turned around surprised. He didn’t hear a footsteps walking towards him! It was Sakura. She was holding a bento box.
“Can I sit down with you?” She asks
Naruto swallows the food in his mouth before answering
“Sure!” He says
Sakura walks towards him and sits next to him. She opens her bento box and starts to eat.
“How’d you find me here?” Naruto asks her
Sakura smiles at him
“I saw you walk up here earlier and decided to come along” she says
Naruto hums and continues to eat his ramen. They ate until their bowl/bento box were empty. Sakura looks over at Naruto.
“Any changes between you and Sasuke?” She asks
Naruto blushes and nods his head
“Eve since the day he shared his lunch with me, we now eat together every day! Right under the tree with the swing” He excitedly tells her.
Sakura giggles as she feels happy on how Naruto got closer to his crush.
“How about you and Hinata?” He ask her.
Sakura blushes and sighs. She looks lovesick
“Hinata and I play around during lunch, we share lunches together and talk a lot more! I hope one day I’m able to ask her out” she says dreamily.
Naruto smiles and leans his head on her shoulder. Sakura leans into him as well.
“One day, we’ll get together as a pack” Sakura says
Naruto hums. He hopes so! He would be the happiest wolf in the village. To finally have a family of his own, with Sasuke as his mate. He chooses to keep believing, to keep hoping.
