Chapter 10
Iruka and Kakashi were cuddled together as they watch their pup Naruto play around with his friends. They were currently in the forest, next to a cave. Sakura, Hinata, and Sasuke have joined them. The pups were currently wrestling and chasing each other around.
Naruto growls as he tugs on Sakura’s tail. Sakura has pounced on Hinata and Sasuke was biting on Naruto’s ear.
“Pups! It’s lunch time” Iruka calls out to them.
The pups stop their playing and run up to the couple. They tackle them and started play around. Naruto and Sasuke tugged on Kakashi’s and Iruka’s tails. Sakura and Hinata tugged on their ears.
Kakashi and Iruka laugh. The pups stopped when their stomachs rumbled. They whine, asking to be fed. Kakashi and Iruka scruff them. They lead them towards the prey they all hunted together. The couple breaks off parts of the deer and give to the pups.
The group start to dig in to their lunch.
Iruka and Kakashi watch as the pups eat their food. They were really hungry!
It was all calm and peaceful. But that peace was broken by the sounds of footsteps. Kakashi’s and Iruka’s ears perk up. They listen very closing to the sound and also smell their scent. They don’t seem to be from around the village. Even though all the packs in the village have different scents, you can still smell whether or not they come from the village. You can identify which village a person comes from based on the smell of the village.
The person they were smelling did not come from Konoha. The pups whine in worry. The couple ushers them to hide in the cave that was next to them. They cover them with some plants to further hide them.
Kakashi and Iruka stand side by side in front of the cave growling. Warning the new comer not to come closer.
The new comer comes out of hiding. It was a lone wolf. Lone wolves are not uncommon to see. Some choose to be alone instead of in a pack. But it’s much harder to survive. Which is why it’s better to be in a pack.
“Well well, I didn’t expect to see anyone around here” the new comer says
Kakashi growls
“Who are you? You shouldn’t be sneaking around Konoha” he says.
“I was just walking around, I smelled fresh prey and was hoping to come steal” the stranger laughs crouching in a hunting position.
Kakashi and Iruka also crouch.
“You will not be getting anything today!” Iruka growls.
The stranger lunges and immediately tries to sink their teeth in Iruka. Iruka dodges and the couple both attack.
They sink their teeth in the lone wolf and he howls out in pain.
He tries to shake the couple off but to no success. He twists his body and manages to free himself. He tackles Kakashi who crashes near a tree. Iruka jumps on the stranger and clamps his jaws on their neck. The wolf rolls and crushes Iruka under the weight of his body.
The lone wolf could smell the pups in the cave and immediately he runs towards them. He finds the pups and the pups scatter out trying to not get caught.
The lone wolf manages to catch Hinata and Naruto in his jaws and scruff them. They both whine out in pain and fight. Sakura and Sasuke growl out and try to attack the stranger by biting his legs.
But the lone wolf manages to kick them out of the way. They howl out in pain as they crash near the tree.
This makes Iruka feral.
No one will harms his pups!
Iruka tackles the stranger who lets go of the pair. Iruka sinks his teeth deep into the stranger’s throat who struggles to get out but fails. Blood pours out of the wound. Iruka keeps his jaw clamp until the stranger passes out from lack of air.
Both Kakashi and Iruka gather the pups and check them over for any injuries.
“You pups ok?” Kakashi asks
The pups reassures them that they’re fine.
“Just some bruises papa!” Naruto tells them.
Iruka turns to his mate
“You stay here with the pups, I’ll take the wolf back to the village and report them to the hokage” he says.
Kakashi nods.
Iruka drags the lone wolf back to the village while Kakashi and the pups head to the cave and cuddle together.
No one will ever harm the pups under their watch.
