Chapter 3
It was a breezy evening as little pup Naruto was running around in the forest. He was trying to hunt for food as he ran out of ramen a few days ago and he wasn’t given his allowance for the month yet.
His stomach rumbled and he let out a small whine. He tried and was unsuccessful at catching any rabbits or other prey. He even tried fishing but the fish weren’t biting.
“Looks like another day hungry” Naruto said to himself. He gave up chase and decided to go back to the village.
On his way back, he saw other packs bringing food and prey back to their families. He wished he could have some. The village is nice and sometimes shares food with others not apart of their pack. But that didn’t include him. There was a time back when he was much much smaller that Naruto took a chance at asking for food from the villagers. That has gotten him injured. He was covered from head to toe in bites marks and scratches from the other wolves.
His stomach rumbled again and he let out an another tiny whine, careful of not letting the others spot him. Naruto took deep breaths to try and soothe his tummy. He used air to try and give himself the illusion of feeling full.
Naruto shifted into his second form and kept walking. His ears shifted as he could pick up the conversations from those around him. Including the whispers, god the whispers. Everyone treated him horribly.
Tears gathered in his eyes but he didn’t let them fall. He didn’t want anyone to see him cry. As he kept walking, all he could smell was food from the different food stalls and restaurants around him. It was torturous.
Naruto reached his apartment. He went inside and slowly lowered himself to the ground. He laid on his side as he continued his breathing exercises.
“I hope tomorrow gives me a chance at catching food “ He says
There was a knock on the door.
Who could that be?
Naruto asked himself
Naruto stood up and walked over to the door. He opened it and was surprised to see both Iruka and Kakashi. Kakashi was in his wolf form and he carried a big deer in his mouth. Iruka was next to him in his secondary form holding some more food.
“Iruka-sensei! What are you doing here?” Naruto exclaimed.
Iruka just smiled and Naruto let both of them come inside. They set everything on the floor. Iruka shifted into wolf form. Kakashi and Iruka both turned to look at Naruto as they waited for him to shift. After a few seconds Naruto shifted and over comed with great energy and happiness, pup Naruto ran over to the couple and began to try to play with them. Kakashi and Iruka played along with Naruto, allowing the pup to bite their ears and tails.
Naruto for the first time that day felt joy. He was so happy and he felt safe with them. His stomach rumbled and Naruto began to whine. Remembering how empty of food he had been for a few days. Iruka let out his own whine and began grooming Naruto. He clamped his jaws on Naruto’s nape and scruffed him. Naruto went limp and Iruka brought him over to the food. Iruka then broke off pieces of the deer for Naruto to eat. Naruto just stared at the food, he felt guilty.
“Are you sure? I’m ok! Really! You didn’t have to bring food here!” He says.
Kakashi comes over to Naruto and nuzzles into the pup, Iruka does the same.
“You need to eat pup, you’re starving and it’s not healthy for you” Kakashi tells the pup. Iruka licks Naruto’s cheek.
“You’re our pup Naruto, and we brought this here for you” Iruka says.
Naruto stared at them in wonder and finally dug in to the food. Iruka wraps his body around Naruto and he starts to purr. The omega happy that his pup was finally getting the food he needs. Kakashi also purrs, the alpha happy at the sight of his omega and pup eating.
Naruto ate until his tummy was full. The food was amazing! Iruka continued to groom him, wanting to be close to his pup. Once everyone was finished eating. It was time to sleep. Both Iruka and Kakashi snuggled close to each other with Naruto in between them. It was warm and Naruto felt safe. Naruto grew sleepy and he yawned.
“Goodnight dads” He sleepily said.
This made the couple very happy, that their pup accepted them as his parents. They nuzzled their nose into Naruto.
“Good night pup” they both said.
