would you fall in love with me again?
As the sun set on the closing Gardenview building for the final time, with children leaving slowly but surely, Dandy and Astro sat under the tree together quietly. They held each other’s hands while day turned to night. They both had matching charms on their wrists: one being a crescent moon, and the other being part of a flower.
The final person left, and now it was just those two under the stars.
“The night sky is quite pretty tonight… like you, folium meum,” Astro complimented softly, turning to Dandy. He could see the flower getting flustered.
Dandy gave Astro a kiss. “I could say the same about you, stella mea.”
They sat there, snuggled and exchanging kisses as if nothing else in the world mattered. Did it really? Starlight kissed their skin and they kissed each other. The night was beautiful, regardless of the emotional connotation behind this moment. Perhaps nothing did matter, not in the end.

And so they met again, in a warehouse. Ichor trailed everywhere as faux versions of other toons wandered, looking for machines that only Dandy knew the purpose of. They wandered and chased mindlessly; all purpose had been destroyed other than to seek and destroy. They could hear everything, and it only drove them insane.
But… it was a purpose, and they could live with that.
Astro’s eyes caught a flower that looked like the one he had fallen in love with so many years ago. He slowly approached Dandy, providing an ambiance to the floor. Tears began to stream more rapidly, staining his hands further.
As he reached out, Ichor dripped onto the floor. He didn’t care. He wanted to see his love again, whatever it took. He touched the face of the flower, whom was wrapped in tapes and covered in Ichor.
“…fo…lium… meum…?” Astro asked weakly, calling the nickname of his love.
Dandy was shocked, and grunted a very distinct ‘stella mea’ in reply.
The twisteds closed their eyes as they sat in silence, not daring to mutter a single sound. However, a sound escaped: a laugh from Astro.

A white void… perhaps a luxurious final resting place, incomprehensible to the human eye.
Astro embraced Dandy.
“It will always be you, folium meum.”
