The Dance
i walked into the room, with my head up. I had a long yet loose red dress one me, which had a v cut up to my tight matching with a red long-sleeved gloves with black high heels my artifical nails were red also matching with my dress.. My hair was currled, and i had a light makeup, more like red lipstick a little eye shadow to make my eye colour pop out and a little mascara. I walked down the stairs elegantly holding my dress up as i took the steps, i saw Draco at the bottom of the stairs and i smiled at him, i felt a lot more like everyone eyes at me..
Everyone was wearing their best outfits, but i was something else entirely. I looked like the very definition of elegance and sophistication. With my beautiful red ress, flawless makeup, and elegant demeanor, i stole the show as i arrived into the Ball.. Draco was speachless for a second before he was able to recover and he gave me a charming smile in return..
i offered my hand to Draco and said his name "Draco" i smiled and bowed a little.. He took my hand and kissed it, in a proper way an Englishman would "My lady" he said with a flourish of his arm. As he held my hand, he led me onto the dance floor amongst the crowd of dancing students. Before i could have say anything he asked "May i have this dance, my lady?" he smiled and i nodded "yes, kind sir"
i smiled putting my hand on his shoulder and my other hand into his hand. It was more crazy, because I was a Gryffindor and was a Slytherin. I stood perfectly straight with my head up.
Draco and I danced elegantly among the rest of the students. While it may have been a little ususal for me and him to dance together, consediring our house rivalries, many of the other students were actually quite thrilled to see it. Draco and I dancing together felt like a big middle finger to the entire house system, which was all rage these days. After the song ended, Draco gave me another charming bow and a hand kiss.. "Shall we get something to drink, my lady?" he asked "yes, sirrr" i said as i chuckled as i put my hand in his as we walked towards the bar
a few students couldn't help but watch, Many of them had ever expected the two of us end up together in the ball, let alone be so comfortable together. A few students noticed that i held Draco's hand and we heard a few whispers but we decided to ignore it and enjoy our time, it was getting clear that we become the talk of the Ball..
Draco and i laughed, a lot, which was unexpected never in my life would have thought that i would end up with the stuck-up Draco Malfoy. as i laughed i put my hand in front if my mouth like a lady, then i felt someone was watching us, I've looked around and my gaze catched hers.. Hermione was staring at me with Ron behind him, he looked quite shocked, of course she would come with that rat, ron, who would have thought... i really didn't wanted them to end up together, i wanted Hermione to be happy but not with Ron, but with me-
i looked back to Draco and said "you know we are not an ordinary date, and i have a feeling that we are going to be the Yule Ball Queen and King, dont you think the same?" i asked as Draco laughed "it certainly seems that way, my lady" he said as he placed his hand on my waist.. But just then a group of students began to clapping to get everyone's attention.. "Alright everyone!" a voice rang through the room "it's time for the naming of the Yule Ball King and Queen!" There was a moment of silance before everyone started to whisper amongst themselves.
As the corwd waited in anticaption for the King and Queen to be named, I looked over Hermione and Ron as they remained on the sidelines. I could tell they were curious just as everyone else to see who would be choosen.. The vocie rang out once more through the room "It's time for the naming of the Yule Ball Queen and King"
there was a moment of silence before the students in the crowd eruped into a loud chatter. Everyone was watching closely, waiting to see who would be the lucky couple, i held my breath in and closed my eyes as i tugged into Draco's arm who did the same.. "Draco Malfoy and Y/n Y/l " my eyes lit up as i looked over Draco with a warm and happy smile "Look! i've told ya!" i giggled as Draco rolled his eyes and smiled how happy I was..
The crowd burst into a loud applause as the Yule Ball Queen and King were finally choosen. The students couldn't belive their eyes as they saw me walking towardsi the stage alongside Draco Malfoy. I looked over Hermione who was just schocked and suprised. And a few minutes later Ron and Hermione approached us. Hermione looked at me with a strange expression, while Ron seemed to be speachless an stunned. "Congratulations!" Ron said with a smile on his face as he extended his hand to shake mine "Sorry, i dont shake hands" i said, i lied, i didn't wanted to touch his nasty hands, i don't even know where his hand has been so i just passed on that..
i bowed as Dumbledoor put the crown on my head and on Draco's "Ladies and Gentleman, I hereby present the Yule Ball King and Queen: Draco Malfoy and Y/n y/l " Dumbledoor announced to the crowd. I smiled and waved elegantly and bowed a little as i held my dress up a bit.
