Exams
Exam period came on like a fucking hurricane. Their whole apartment looked like a mess. Sirius had at least 3 canvases up in the living room and the whole thing covered in newspapers so as to not make a mess (he was not succeeding very much). Remus had like 4 days to come out of his room, Sirius started wondering if he died or if he left at some point to get away from Sirius mental breakdowns and he never realized it. Oh my god, what if Remus was having a mental breakdown?
Sirius got up from the floor and the canva he was currently working on and went into the kitchen. He started making hot chocolate, because it was late and he didn’t think coffee was a wise idea, and he whipped up a quick recipe he saw a couple days ago for a chocolate souffle in a cup. Yeah too much chocolate but Remus would appreciate it.
He got to Remus' room knocked at the door and opened slowly. Remus' room had 3 sage green walls and one that looked like they never finished it with bricks showing and a window there. Gray curtains opened so he could see outside, a carpet that matched almost exactly the sweater he was currently wearing laying on top of it. A bed on the up left corner with like five blankets and even more pillows, some vinyl albums on the walls and the rest was full with shelves stacked with books. Some more books stacked as his bedside table, a couple hundred more stacked in lines on the end of his bed and currently about fifteen more on the floor all around him.
“Hey” Sirius said softly. “I brought you-”
“Chocolate” Remus said with a sigh
“Well hot chocolate and chocolate souffle but yeah, Chocolate.”
“Have I ever told you how much I love you?”
“Well no, not recently. Because I’m pretty sure i haven't seen you out of this room in the past 4 days”
“Shit, it’s been that long?”
“Yeah. Do you even eat?”
“I have my snack stash.”
“Does your snack stash consist maybe of more chocolate?”
“... and some nuts”
“Jesus, Remus. I regret bringing you that chocolate souffle now. I should've brought you, like, a soup or something. You will die of sugar.”
“Yeah but i love you more with chocolate”
“And i love you more alive…” said Sirius shaking his head and Remus' eyes just softened for a moment.

And that’s how it went for the rest of the exams, although they tried to have a couple more interactions. Sometimes Sirius would take a nap midday on the couch to rest before or after a big exam. Remus would be out most of the day, usually in and out to grab a book. Sometimes Sirius might wake up with a blanket on top of him, but other than that, Hectic.
At some point during one of Sirius’ scheduled naps on the couch. He had just heard Remus come into the house but he usually just came and left. So Sirius didn’t even stir. Like Sirius expected Remus went into the room and in less than a minute he came out again and just as Sirius was ready to fall asleep again he felt Remus go back to the room again and a moment later a blanket was laid on top of him and to Sirius surprise a kiss was given to his forehead. And Remus was out the door again.
It never happened again after that no matter how many more naps on that couch he took, but Sirius thought about it at least once a week.

“Thank fuck that’s finally over” Remus says with a huff while flopping down on the couch
“Shut up i have until this afternoon that i have to hand in the last assignment”
“Ohh poor Sirius. Is your majesty anxious?”
“Yes actually I am, this is the piece I’ve been working on the whole semester. It’s… it’s important to me that it goes well”
Sirius says and he know he sounds as stressed as he feels because he will lose his shit if this assignment doesn’t go well
“Come here” Rem says with open arms
and Sirius goes to cuddle up against him
“How about we have a movie night after you hand in your assignment?
-Moony says while stroking his hair-
We’ll also call James and Peter and Lily of course. Huh? What’d you say?”
“That sounds nice.” Sirius mumbles
“ Yeah? Okay then. Go see if the piece needs any finishing touches. Maybe take a nap and i’ll inform the group about movie night”
And Sirius does just that. After looking at the piece too long he realizes it doesn’t need any touches at all because he might just start it all over again. And then he takes a nap on the couch. Thank fuck for Remus because he forgets to put on an alarm and he almost lost his fucking exam!!!
By the time he is home everyone is there. Snacks spread out on the table. Peter on the armchair by the window. Remus on his usual spot on the corner of the couch Lily next to him and James. Which leaves a spot for Sirius right next to his best friend in the whole world.
“Hey Buddy saved you a seat!!!” James says with way too much enthusiasm and at that moment Sirius definitely feels like a dog.
He does have a seat though and they start the movie or rather the musical.
They put Hamilton. Oh how he loves these assholes. :’)
“You chose Hamilton…” Sirius says looking fondly at the screen almost ready to cry
“Moony picked it. Said it would definitely rise your spirit up”
At that Sirius looks at him and if his eyes well up a little he hopes no one sees.
They’ve been stressful weeks for him and having them all there and Moony putting on Hamilton makes him lose all the stress and just want to cry. He doesn’t tho. Although he should def hug Remus after. Maybe if they do their programmed break at the middle of the musical.
Not even a minute in and Sirius and James have started singing every single lyric on that goddamn musical.
Sirius: “How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore…
James: “And a Scotsman, dropped in the middle of a forgotten…”
Ten minutes in and Peter is joining “I am not throwing away my shot..” and it took him long enough
shortly followed by Lily “i am not throwing away my shot” the vocals on that woman …
At last Remus breaks too
“Everybody sing…”
and until the break they put on a show of their own imitating the actors.

“You know Pads, I think you would do amazing as a musical actor. You have all the dramatic effects for it.” James shouts for somewhere in the kitchen where he went with Lily to fill up their glasses and Lily hums in agreement.
“Oh sod off. Although I definitely would be an amazing musical actor.”
Peter stands to go to the toilet and Sirius finds his window he goes and gives Moony a huge hug Rem is startled by it at the beginning but when sirius says a low thank you almost a whisper he hugs him back and rubs his back “Always, Siri”
Sirius takes a seat curled up next to Remus after that and when James comes back he looks hurt.
“Hey, i thought you were sitting next to me :(“
“I was but i also want to sit next to Moony”
“And you chose him over meee???”
“Well of course James if he doesn’t sit next to his Moony how is he ever gonna survive”
Peter says sarcastically
“He is right, you know. They just NEED to sit next to each other. Living together isn’t enough at this point” Lily sighs
“No you assholes. James just sit EXACTLY where you sat before and you’re still gonna be next to me.”
“Oh right” James says
“And then I’M the drama queen” Sirius complains “And the rest of you shut up will you? I just don’t like sitting in the corner…”
“You’re both drama queens otherwise this friendship wouldn’t have survived. And Sirius you ain’t fooling anyone. We all know you and Rem are practically like a couple. I don’t even know how you aren’t a real one yet…” Lily chips in.
“What ever she said” Peter says while pointing at Lily
And Sirius blows his tongue at both of them.
They continue the movie and Sirius gets so relaxed next to Remus that he must have fallen asleep at some point.
“Hey beautiful wake up”
“Hmm what?” Sirius says a little startled
“You fell asleep on me. The others have left.”
“Oh… Sorry. Why didn’t you wake me up to say goodbye to them.”
“Oh I was ready, but little James didn’t let me. Said I should let you lie COMPLETELY on top of me until I NEEDED to move. Just so pretty little Sirius could get some sleep after his exams. So how are you, your majesty, feeling up to moving yet? Because to be honest I'm starting to cramp up.”
“I… well that was a lot of information and i just woke up” Sirius said while he moved to get more comfortable on top of Remus “and you’re rather comfortable”
“Come on love let’s get you to bed” Rem said and just casually left him up
“Oh.. I… I love that you can just casually do that i’s kinda hot” Sirius said and closed his eyes again
“Shut up or I’ll drop you” Rem said and you could hear the smirk on his voice
“Oh you would never! You’re my prince charming”
Remus just laughed and that was the last thing Sirius heard before he fell asleep again.
