
Capabilities (Part Three)
Penance Stare: the Resurrection Stone grants power to cause and induce a variety of negative effects in beings who have sinned or committed evils by locking eyes with them, condemning them with the effects that can cause them a great deal of suffering and torment of any kind that can break any anyone all bound to their very transgressions and to the wearer/wielder's will and judgment, be it from inflicting pain to knocking people out, or sometimes even damnation.
Limitations of the Penance Stare
- Requires eye contact to be effective.
- Some targets may be immune.
- Does not work on purely good beings or beings who have never sinned or are immune to sin.
- Does not work on beings who are amoral.
- May not work against those who are apathetic or remorseless.
- Might not work against soulless and Absolute Soul beings.
- May work for a limited amount of time.
- Can be reflected back.
Afterlife Transport: the Resurrection Stone grants power to transport/taking the souls of others, willingly or otherwise, to the afterlife.
Limitations of the Afterlife Transport
- Targets may have to be either mortally wounded (beyond medical attention), dying, or dead before they can be taken to the afterlife.
- May be able to transport the dead only to a specific afterlife (Heaven, Hell, Valhalla, etc.).
- Soul Anchoring is the perfect counter.
- Afterlife Prevention.
- Curses and rituals may prevent a soul from being approached or taken by a psychopomp.
- Cannot prevent souls from returning to the physical realm.
- Souls with Indomitable Will may be resistant/immune.
- May not be able to affect themselves.
- Certain undead psychology species or a race may guide certain racial souls into the afterlife.
Soul Healing: the Resurrection Stone has the power to heal and repair any damage done to the soul of oneself or others. They can repair damage done by soul-affecting abilities such as Soul Mutilation and even rejoin soul fragments done by Soul Splitting.
Limitations of the Soul Healing
- May be limited to the extent of damage done to the soul, possibly not healing all of the damage done to it.
- Cannot repair damage if caused by Irreversible Destruction.
- May be tiring.
- May have to transfer energy from one's own soul to heal the other.
- Unwilling souls may resist the healing.
- May not work on certain types of souls.
Soul Recreation: the Stone has power to recreate/remake souls that have been irreparably damaged, converted, consumed, shattered, scattered, split and/or even destroyed.
Limitations of the Soul Recreation
- Unable to recreate souls that have been absolutely destroyed.
- Restored souls may suffer side effects.
Soul Restoration: the Resurrection Stone has power to restore and return souls to those who have lost them by various means, such as Magic, Soul Removal, Soul Absorption, Soul Trapping, etc. They can cure Soullessness if they had lost their souls.
Limitations of the Soul Restoration
- Cannot return a soul to a soulless being if they never had one to begin with.
- Restoring damaged soul may harm the target.
- Soul Destruction can destroy the soul intended to be restored.
