"Dorcas"

"This is it! We can finally nab him!" Marlene says after they hang up with Emma.

"We can't just kidnap him right off the street. We have to make a plan."

"But -"

"Marls, make a plan."

Marlene sighs. "Fine. Bitch." She mumbles the last part under her breath, but James still heard.

“You know you’re not that quiet, right?”

“Shut it, Einstein.”

James rolls his eyes and looks at the girl on the couch staring at them dumbfounded. “We should explain,” Dorcas nods. “So, funny story.”

Marlene and James explain the whole thing starting from the beginning when Emma first came up to him.

“Hey, Em.”

“James,” she paused. “You would do anything for your friends, right? You would do anything for me?”

“Of course, Em. What’s wrong?”

Emma sighs and signals someone over. “This is Jorge, my right-hand man. Now, he’s retiring soon, and I need someone I can trust to protect me, but most importantly, the world, or at least the crime in the world.” Emma steps towards him a little. “I wouldn’t ask you unless I knew I could trust you and you’ve been my friend for a long time, so I know I can.” Emma looks down at her feet, at the Jorge and then back to James. “James, I want to ask you if you’d be willing to kill someone if it’s what’s necessary.”

“What?” James asks, horrified.

Emma sighs, stepping towards him again. “James, I’m an assassin, I run a business of helping the world get better, well, sometimes. We basically kill people before they can do anything else for the mob. So, I think it’s good, but Jorge here thinks it’s just killing people at random.” She looks back at him and he shrugs then turns back to James. “So, are you willing to kill people, so your friends are safe? So, Marlene is safe?”

James looks across the street where a drug deal just went wrong a few days ago. James looks to the other side where a drive by happened. “Would I be able to kill anyone I want if they did something bad?”

Emma smirks from the corner of his eye as he turns his gaze to yet another spot where a shooting happened. “As long as I know what you’re doing, then yeah.”

James looks back at her and nods. “To keep my family safe, I’ll do it.”

Dorcas narrows her eyes at the two. “How did she come into this?”

“Oh, a few days later she was meddling, and Emma and I were discussing something she overheard a little, I walked out of the room and drug her to a different one, telling her everything.”

Dorcas hums. “Sounds like her.”

James laughs and Marlene elbows him. “Shut it.” She whisper yells.

“You know, I'm in the mob.” James’s eyes widen. “Oh, Emma doesn't know that.” Dorcas laughs at the two surprised faces in front of her. “You didn’t know?” Dorcas shakes her head. “Wow, it’s easy to deceive you.” Dorcas stands up. “I was hired to spy on you, make sure you weren’t telling anyone anything.” Dorcas sighs. “But, you failed that.” Dorcas walks to her, whatever she is, and puts her palm to Marlene’s cheek. “I didn’t know what was going to happen coming into this, but you? I did not expect you knowing about James.” Dorcas laughs sinisterly and walks back to the couch. “Oh my god. All I had to do was put on this mask and act like I was that black bitch.” Dorcas stares at James. “Riddle never told me you were so handsome.”

“Who are you?” Marlene asks.

“Oh, but my dear sweet Marlene.” She says sarcastically. “I’m your beloved Dorcas Meadows.” Her eyes roll.

“I know Cas, and you’re not her. I was just with her last night. Where is she?”

The girl laughs and a part of her mouth chips. The girl growls and lifts off the face, or mask, or whatever it is. This girl has poofy hair and dark skin. She looks a little familiar. “She’s fine. And so is that boy of yours, the younger one. You know, James’s whatever he is.”

James eyes widen in realization. “Regulus.”

The girl smiles at them. “Correct!” The girl walks around them, both still frozen in place. “My dear cousin needed to learn a lesson and not cross Riddle. And you,” the lady stops in front of James. “Needed to learn not to kill people that own us money!” The lady’s hand slaps James on the cheek, making his face swerve to Marlene. The girl walks back to the couch and sits.

“Who are you?” James sneers, not daring to move an inch.

Her high-pitched laugh echoes through the room. “I'm sad you don't remember me, James." She sighs. "Aurora Sinistra, at your service. Or should I say Black.”
