Me or the Book? - Wolfstar AND Jegulus

Wolfstar:

Remus Lupin is sitting on the couch, legs crossed under him under the thick blanket, he has draped over his legs. Remus is reading a book. He is pretty deeply immersed in his book and doesn’t even notice when his boyfriend, Sirius Black, walks up to him.

“Remus?” Sirius asks, his voice small. “I’m reading, Sirius,” Remus responds absently. Sirius puts his hand on Remus’ book and pushes it down, to which Remus looks up and meets Sirius’ eyes. “Sirius, let go of my book,” Remus says.

“What’s more important? Me or the book?”

As soon as Sirius says those words, Remus puts in his bookmark and closes the book, placing it on the table. He then grabs Sirius’ waist and pulls him into his lap. “You are. Always,” Remus says, holding Sirius close. Sirius hums in satisfaction and leans against Remus’ chest.

Jegulus:

Regulus Black is sitting on his bed, back against a pillow he’s manoeuvred to be against the wall. In his hands is a leatherbound hardcover book that he is reading.

James Potter, his boyfriend, walks up to him, but Regulus just raises a finger. “Reading,” he simply states, not looking away from his book even once.

James puts his hand over one of the pages, completely covering the words. “James. Get your hand off my book,” Regulus says, looking up into James’ eyes with a glare. James takes his hand off Regulus’ book and turns away, taking a few steps with a “Your book is more important than me.”

Regulus’ book is closed, on the table in less than a second and James is pulled by his waist into Regulus’ lap. “You are always more important,” Regulus practically growls. James snuggles into a comfortable position in Regulus’ arms, rambling about his day as Regulus just listens, commenting on certain parts and snickering or chuckling at others.
