Day 21-christmas film Jegulus and Pandalily
“Diehard is a Christmas film!” Lily shouts, hitting James with a pillow after each word, moving around as he defends himself with his own pillow.
“No, it’s not,” He shouts back, attempting to smack her over the head but being unsuccessful due to her fast reflexes, “Christmas films should be light and fun, with a happy ending, like the Christmas Chronicles!”
“Diehard has a happy ending!” Lily argues, stopping her attack for a moment as she chases him around the living room. “It is a Christmas film.”
“No, it’s not even about Christmas,” James exclaims, ducking behind an armchair as Lily launches her pillow at him. They dart out of the room, still bickering back and forth, the sound of chairs scraping and walls getting bumped into drifting down the corridor.
“Do you even understand what they’re fighting about?” Pandora asks, wincing slightly as what sounds like the both of them falling down echoes down the corridor and Lily shouts victoriously.
“Not a clue,” Regulus replies, flicking the page of his book and trying to ignore their slightly crazy other halves. He really doesn’t understand the whole fight, why are there criteria? Surely it just has to be set at Christmas.
Lily rushes back into the room, grabs the remote and brings up a film on the screen, moving as far away from the door as she can so James can’t snatch it back.
“The films already playing! You can’t stop it, you lose!” She teases, flicking off the lights as the screen lights up. James groans but graciously admits his defeat, flopping on the sofa next to Regulus, grabbing the book from his hands and sliding the bookmark on his current page and placing it to the side.
“We have to get snacks first.” Pandora reaches over her girlfriend's lap and pauses the film after only 11 seconds have played. James claps and points at Pandora as if she’s a genius, jumping up and pulling Regulus after him into the kitchen.
“We’re watching both films so get plenty,” James smiles as he loads his arms full of all sorts of foods. Lily just rolls her eyes, sticking her tongue out at him, unwilling to admit they reached a compromise rather than her winning.
“Yeah, yeah whatever, you still lose.”
….
“Admit it! Diehard is the superior Christmas film,” Lily asks when both films are over, the four of them all spread out over various armchairs, beanbags and sofas.
“She’s right James, it’s a Christmas film, and it’s so much better than the one you picked,” Regulus grins as Lily cheers and high-fives him. James grabs the front of his shirt, dramatically gasping and falling backwards as if he’s been shot.
“Betrayed,” He cries out, draping a hand across his forehead, “Betrayed by my beloved, how will I survive this.” He stands and goes to kneel in front of Pandora, clasping both of her hands in his and managing to keep a straight face as he asks.
“You take my side, don’t you?” Pandora laughs, glancing at Lily before she theatrically whispers to James.
“Christmas Chronicles was better,” James cheers, pulling Pandora into a hug and spinning her around while Lily boo’s them.
