Day 14 - Christmas Snow
The snowfall looked beautiful during the evening.
Sirius stood near the window with his drink in hand seemingly lost in thought. His free hand slipped into his pocket, there had been a sense of gentleness that washed over him unlike during his youth growing up in Grimmauld Place where the fights were constant and the hatred spread like wildfire. it felt far more akin to that of Godric's Hollow with the Potters. The warmth, everyone welcomed with open arms and laughter filled the air. As hie eyes glance backwards watching the young folk that had come, essentially joining in on the little family that had been created.
"You know, if I knew you were going to be standing here watching the snow." Angeal's voice entered his ears. "I wouldn't have volunteered to help cook tonight."
Sirius grinned despite himself. "You love it, I know you do."
"Maybe." Angeal smirked. His attention drew outside and gazed. "The snow?"
"Mhm. It's beautiful," Sirius says honestly.
"I can't deny that." Angeal agrees with a short nod. "However, I know what's more beautiful."
Sirius cocked an eyebrow, eyes danced with bemusement knowing the answer. "And that is?"
"The Christmas tree." The impish grin on Angeal's face earned a loud snort from Sirius giving a playful punch to his arm. The Ex-SOLDIER's arm snaked around Sirius's waist pulling him closer continuing to gaze onside, Sirius's head resting against the man's shoulder. "But you are as well. As is our family."
"That they are." Sirius agrees, the two stood together continuing watching the snowfall taking in the brief moment of respite before the silence had been interrupted. Sounds echoed from the kitchen more than likely from Barrett, Yuffie and Cid. As a soft chuckle echoed in unison they made their way to the kitchen and to enjoy a nice meal during a snowy evening.
