Day 10 - Christmas Dinner
“How long do we have before everyone starts arriving?”
Harry glances at the timer. “We have a fair bit of time before they begin coming.” As he slides some of the trays straight into the oven. The sound of the time being set goes off with a beep.
“And, you are okay with Sup-I mean, Clark coming?” Conner asks, hesitation clear in his voice and face.
Harry pauses. “Conner. Just because I don’t like it doesn't mean he can’t be invited. He’s important to you, there’s nothing to worry about. Okay?"
Conner sighs in relief.
“Sorry for doubting you,” He says sincerely. “I was a bit worried. I know you weren’t fond of the way he treated me.”
"I haven't exactly hide my opinion of Clark. I've never liked or appreciated the way he's treated you, that said I do believe that people can grow and change. He's stopped avoiding you and even convinced his parents to adopt you," Harry states. "I'm willing to give him the benefit of a doubt."
A smile appeared on Conner's face. His arms reached out pulling his lover to him. "I'm happy to hear that."
"But me being nice to Clark isn't your Christmas present," Harry informs teasingly. "That won't be until Christmas Day."
Conner snorts. "My Christmas present can be Hal, Barry, and Sirius not wanting to kill me for being with you."
A pause before a round of laughter came from Harry eyeing his boyfriend bemused. "Yeah, sorry about that Conner. That might be something not even Santa can do."
"A man can dream." Conner sighs.
"At least they'll be busy eating good food?" Harry offered weakly.
Conner gave a look. "Just make sure to sit beside me during dinner tonight, okay?"
"Done."
