Day 07 - Christmas Shopping
If there had been one thing that Logan despised. Being dragged around the mall during the cheeriest, sappiest and obnoxious time of the year would be one of them. As a sharp grunt echoed with annoyance, carrying the many bags in his arms and biceps attempting to keep up with the fast-paced walking Sirius. The man seemed as though he had been on a mission to complete.
“Do we have to get all of these gifts?” Logan grunts with narrowed eyes, shooting his boyfriend a look.
Sirius checked the paper and then glanced back. “I want to at least get the people we’re close to something. Especially Harry.”
“Any idea of what to get him?” Logan had been a tad bit curious. Harry had been a fairly hard to read kid. Mainly kept to himself, usually found on the sideline drawing something in a sketchbook or dragged around campus with a few of the other troublemakers on the campus.
The fact the kid knew exactly how to shut Scout boy up definitely earned Harry a place in Logan’s good books.
Sirius stopped mid-stride. “...Kinda.”
“Kinda?”
“I erm…” Sirius paused. “I thought about giving something from James and Lily. The last bit of remnants that I could scavenge and find. I managed to secure their journals, and the Potter family album.”
That came as a surprise to Logan. While not really having connection to the magical world, even though he was aware of the massive destruction of Godric’s Hollow, the details of how Harry’s parents were murdered came from Sirius and what happened to their bodies. The fact that anything had been left to find was a miracle. The last which Logan had been aware the place had become nothing more than a crater in the ground, with nothing left behind. Sirius went out of his way to find something for Harry and secured something that had more meaning that any would know.
"Damn." Logan remarks actually impressed.
Sirius merely shrugs. "I'm glad that I could find it. Didn't want to leave it laying there for someone to find. Thankfully no one knew James and Lily better than me, and now hopefully Harry can learn more about them too."
"He'll love it." Logan assures, smirking.
"Well," Sirius eyes Logan as his lips curved to a smile. "I'm sure he won't be the only one loving his present."
Logan narrowed his eyes. "What's the supposed to mean?"
The wizard gave a smirk tossing a wink towards him. "You'll have to wait until Christmas love~"
As Sirius turned and returned to his pace. Logan's eyes lowered down below, soon a matching look appeared with a lick to his lips. "Oh, I'm sure I'll enjoy my present tonight, tomorrow and the day before and until Christmas~"
