It's to bloody fucking cold. This was the one singular thought running through Regulus Black's head when walking back from Hogsmeade. And not only was he cold but his lips were starting to get chapped because he forgot his chapstick.
All Regulus wanted to do was get into the hopefully warm castle, have some tea and cuddle with James.
James Potter. His boyfriend. And his brother's best friend. So their relationship was obviously a secret. Especially since Regulus was trying to repair his relationship with Sirius.
While Regulus was normally very aware of his surroundings he had gotten lost in his head and hadn't noticed Pandora coming up to him until she linked her arm with his.
“So did you get me any Flavored Flowers?”
Ah the Flavoured Flowers. They were a new sweet that many people loved. They were essentially a mix between Sugar Quills and Bertie’s Box Every Flavored Beans.
They came in the shapes and colors of different flowers but had all the flavors of Bertie's Beans. You could also get ones with just the flavor you want or you could get more than one flavor in a flower. And since they were the same color you couldn't guess the flavor.
But Regulus was getting sidetracked.
“Of course not Panda, I forgot the one thing that I get every time I go to Hogsmeade.”
Regulus said in the most dull voice he could manage while simultaneously pulling out the flowers from his extendable bag.
“Thank you Reg!”
Pandora took the sweets and started one that by the tag Regulus knew was Chocolate Dirigible Plums.
“So do you think you will have your DEER with you tonight?”
Pandora put emphasis on the deer and watched as Regulus blushed slightly acting like it was just the cold.
“I'm sure I don't know who you mean.”
“Mhhm, sure.”
Pandora had finished her treat and was about to reapply her lipstick when Reg interrupted her.
“Can I borrow your chapstick?”
Pandora realized that because her lipstick is clear before you put it on Regulus thought it was chapstick.
Pandora knew that she had the option to either give it to him and see what happened or to tell him no and lose a perfectly good pranking opportunity. She chose the first option.
“Yeah, do you want some?”
“Yes please.”
As pandore watched regulus apply it she realized that this would be even funnier because he would be with James later.
“Thank you.”
After Regulus gave the ‘chapstick’ back to Pandora he realized that they were at the castle.
After parting ways with Pandora going to the library and Regulus taking a slightly more secluded path in the dungeons.
Regulus realized that not paying attention and taking the more secluded path even though it was his normal one wasn't a smart idea. Especially when he got pulled into a broom cupboard.
Though he didn't worry about that for long.
“Hello Love.”
That was the voice of his boyfriend James. Well voice would not accurately describe how he talked at that moment. It sounded like liquid seduction.
“Hi Jamie.”
Regulus would have said more if he could have but in the next second he was pushed against the wall having the life snogged out of him. Not that he was complaining.
As James started to kiss and such down his neck Reg kissed every spot on James face he could. They snogged for what could have been hours or minutes until they heard the bell signaling dinner would be soon.
“Damn it.”
James was not thrilled to have his time with his boyfriend interrupted but Regulus was already pulling away.
“Okay I'll see you later tonight sweetheart.”
“Alright,”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
As Regulus quickly slipped out of the cupboard and fixed his appearance while heading to the Great Hall.
As Regulus walked into the Great Hall and sat with Barty, Evan, and Pandora at the Slytherin table he noticed that most of the students were already there which was unusual but too terribly uncommon.
He also noticed that Pandora was slightly smirking but thought nothing of it. He would come to regret that five minutes later.
Five minutes after Regulus arrived James did so to avoid arousing suspicion. But that wasn't what had the ENTIRE Hall staring at him.
It was the red lipstick stains on one side of his face and neck from to to bottom.
Though it was clear that James had no clue they were on his face judging by the way he stopped when he noticed the staring.
“ Why is everyone staring? Is there something on my face?”
James directed the questions to his friends who were also starring with various looks of disbelief on their faces once he had moved to the Gryffindor table.
“You could say that Prongs.”
Sirius said, smirking at his friend. He was obviously very happy when he held up his mugglel compact mirror and James could see what was wrong.
Regulus stared across the hall before seeing that Pandora's smirk had gotten vicious, Evan was now smirking at him too, and Barty was silently cackling.
Regulus glared at Panda realizing that he had been set up. Pandora just pulled out her lipstick and applied some.
As Regulus was tilting his head down to try and not show his embarrassment he saw James putting his head in his arms with his friends laughing and asking him questions that he ignored.
At least Everyone wasn't looking at Regulus.
