Pillow Thief
Summary
"That's my pillow," she said with a playful smile, a glint of mischief lit up her eyes.

Alicia walked out of the Kitchen into the cozy living room that was adorned with Christmas decorations and exuded a warm, festive cheer. The fireplace crackled softly, stockings hung neatly from the mantel, and a large evergreen tree sparkled with ornaments and twinkling lights. In her hands were two cups of coffee to help her and Katie make it through all the wrapping they still had to complete.

She entered the room and spotted Katie who was now perched on the floor with a half-wrapped present in front of her. She leaned comfortably against the couch with a bright neon blue pillow behind her back for added support. Alicia paused, the two mugs of coffee steaming in her hands, and just stared. She waited patiently for Katie to finish what she was doing and place the wrapped gift in the piles with the others before she spoke.

"That's my pillow," she said with a playful smile, a glint of mischief lit up her eyes.

Katie looked up, her grin matched Alicia's, "Your pillow? I don't think so," she chuckled softly.

"Yes, because I was using it just five minutes ago."

"But then you left," Katie argued playfully.

"It's not like I left the house. I went to grab some coffee…for both of us. You knew I was coming back," Alicia pointed out as she placed the coffee down on the table.

"There's another pillow over there," Katie pointed towards the decorative pillow with a smiling snowman embroidered on its front.

"But that's my pillow. It's broken in and so comfy," Alicia pouted.

"I think this pillow was actually mine, to begin with," Katie said thoughtfully as she looked over her shoulder at the worn neon blue pillow that was wedged between her back and the couch.

"I thought you loved me. My mistake," Alicia said seriously but could only hold the façade for a moment before she smirked.

The two women stared intently at one another before Alicia knelt in front of her wife and leaned in close, "Please," she whispered as she brushed her lips against Katie's.

Katie gulped, eyes closed, and nodded, "Yeah," she said heavily.

"Thank you, baby."

Alicia grabbed the pillow from behind her wife, placed it behind her, and sighed as she settled down beside Katie on the floor. She saw the amused look on her wife's face and couldn't help but laugh, "You can't blame me, it's just so comfy."

Katie just wrapped her arm around Alicia and the couple cuddled together under the blanket as they enjoyed their coffee.

Outside, the snow fell gently that blanketed the world in a soft white glow and the room was slowly filled with joyful chatter, the scent of pine from the tree, and the warmth from the crackling fire.
