Ok ok, hear me out!
The Gaang, White Lotus, and maybe some others get put into their past selves with all the memories of the future.
think of the chaos, and the fun they could have on their "Life changing field trip"!
the other adults not knowing what the fuck is going on and what to do with whatever is going on!
the Gaang dropping Azula with the Guru with the bet that she was "too weak to reach enlightenment" and complete the training - add the other girls too, she'd be too lonely.
end the war from right under the fire lord in less than a handful of minutes at most then go about their day like normal/nothing happened!
