Note
It's short because it's the prologue, but chapters from then on will be longer (1000 words+)I was contemplating whether or not I should post this on ao3 as well because it's a canon character x original character pairing and I don't think many people read those on here. I decided to post it anyway, I mean I have nothing to lose.Feedbacks are appreciated!

Woven Threads

In Between Time & Space

Raindrops echoed in the deserted alleyway, the soft taps reverberating against the stone-cold walls. Footsteps deliberate and haunting, clacked on the wet ground as the rain continued to fall. “I wish it had not come to this… but it must be done.” The distorted voice grew louder as it got closer.

It was silent for a beat except for the rhythmic sound of rainfall. The alley held its breath as if anticipating the impending act. As the blurry figure hesitated, the world around it fell into a profound silence.

Then, with a whispered incantation, “Refoveo Tempus,” everything faded away, engulfed by the shadows and into the darkness.

In that breathless moment, the entities of time and space had acted. Those who temper with Time would meet their merciless end, but Fate and Destiny intervened. Time took pity on the innocent young soul caught in the crossfire, like threads woven into the shadows.

Time bargained to weave existing threads into a coexisting universe as a mercy act for the young soul. Fate disagreed, arguing that threads cannot be changed. Ultimately, Destiny made the final decision to accept Time’s bargain, under the condition that the outcome of the darkness this time must be different.

Fate added its own condition, stating that a price must be paid. The outcome of the darkness this time might be different, but the light must take its place and embrace the darkness.

All in favour of the verdict, the three deities granted the young soul a temporary gift for the hard path ahead, in the form of a guiding light.

The Guiding Light descended into a coexisting universe, where a discrepancy existed. It fused into the shiny gold pendant of the young soul, waiting for Fate and Destiny to play their part.
