My hands they were strangers lost in the night

Tws: discussions of nightmares and self harm, this is as close as I’ll get to fluff

Regulus woke up and went to stretch his arms before realizing he couldn’t move. Fuck.

He was really hoping that was a shitty nightmare. God he was going to have to talk to James Potter. He wanted to curl up in a ball and die.
James entered the room carrying a mug of steaming hot tea. “You’re up! Sorry I didn’t want to leave you but I needed to grab some tea.” James quickly removed the body binding curse and regulus sat up in a yawn.

“So do you want to talk about last night or do you want to have breakfast first?” James asked. Regulus shrugged neither option sounded particularly appealing.

“Why don’t we talk and you can snack if you want?” James responded to his own question as he walked across the room to grab a tray with fruit and a muffin.

“Has something like last night ever happened before?” James questioned.

“Yes but it’s not usually that bad,” Regulus lied it was usually that bad or worse. Sirius just was better about stopping him but he’d thought that once Regulus was out of the house these nightmare episodes would stop. Clearly he was wrong.
“What did you and Sirius do when that happened?”

“Sirius would put a body binding curse on me.”

“Is that what you want me to do?” Regulus shrugged. He didn’t really have any other options.

“Ok do you want to talk about last night?” James asked.

“No” Regulus almost shouted.

“Well if you need to talk about it I’m always here.” James said flashing his smile that reeked of kindness but not pity.

Authors notes:

We are so back bitches. Sorry i took a bit of a break life was life you know. Am I happy with this chapter? No not at all but it’s ok.

P.S. James is a tea drinker in my world btw it will come up again. Also opinions on this becoming a Jegulus fic i don’t like making my own decisions.
