Summary
I've been wanting to share my headcanons for a while but didn't know if people would be interested. Then I saw ARTEMIS1551's 'Headcanons'. It was not much, but it did give me the confidence to share my headcanons. I probably will not post often, but it will be a good dumping ground for some Google Docs that I've wanted to get rid of but didn't want to lose the information written on it.
Note
This headcanon is made in a universe with events similar to the DC Animated Universe, New 52, Infinite Crisis, and more. I'm not an expert in DC lore, but I do enjoy Batman more than some Marvel characters. This timeline mostly focuses on Bruce Wayne and how he built his Bat Family.

Cult of the Lamb Story

Time of the Old Gods

Long ago, the land was filled with higher beings. To themselves, they were mortals blessed with great powers. To others, they were gods. Lapiz. Ala. Galvar. And many more. They were beyond the powers of others and could ascend their followers, changing them into powerful observers called Witnesses. But those with power rarely want others to be their equal.

Through war, many of the old gods fell. A few gods fled to the astral plane where only the strongest divine beings could enter. The ones who were left winessed so much damage that they wanted to lose their godhood and rest in peace. So, they sealed their powers in crowns that they left to their descendants and faded into history.

These descendants were the feather ones, owls of great powers and mastery who crafted instruments of immense power for the gods but could never wield them. Among the feathered ones were three siblings, Clauneck, Chemach, and Kuddai. Kudaai created weapons, instruments of damage that wield great power. Chemach had a mastery in creating relics, items made of the powerful and divine that could grant great powers and warp reality. Finally, Clauneck could see the future, creating prophecies that would change the world in ways very few could see and handing out tarot cards to help the guided ones reach their destiny.

Time of the Bishops

After the old gods died, all that was left were their bodies, crowns, and the feathered ones.

Among the lands, the crowns would be found. Among the many that ascended from the power of the crowns, five banded together as siblings. The spider Shimura, the frog Hecate, the Cat Narindar, the squid Kallamar, and the worm Leshy. They slaughtered any who would not follow them and destroyed their crowns. In an act of rare mercy, they destroyed a crown but let the owl named Haro live as a weak immortal stripped of their divinity. They also banish the witnesses from their lands.

The five bishops were then met by the old gods that fled to the astral plane. These gods decided to trade with the bishops for god tears, remnants of the old gods that could only be seen by the divine and created by the most wicked in the world. Shimura asked for nothing, Narindar asked for something in secret, Leshy asked for more followers of chaos, Hecate asked for a more ruthless nature, and Kallamar asked the ignorance to prophecies.

While they were followers of the old gods, they were now gods themselves. Four of the siblings were gods of change. If you wanted safety and stability, you would pray that the God of Chaos would spare you, Leshy. For a bountiful harvest, you ask the God of Famine to ignore your field, Hecate. When health is needed, you ask that the God of Pestilence would be merciful, Kallamar. Finally, peace would be granted to those who asked for the ignorance of the God of War, Shimura. While these four bishops grew powerful for their inverse, one god was not satisfied.

Death could not be reversed. Very few would not pray for death, so Narindar grew weak. He grew gluttonous for power. He broke the seal of mortality, allowing the dead to walk the land again as his followers.

This upset the other bishops. If no one feared death, they did not fear the causes of them. While Narindar grew powerful, they grew weak. Shimura made a plan to kill Narindar and trap him in the afterlife. Leshy did not care for plans but went along. Hecate agreed to the plan fully. Kallamar was fearful of Narindar’s retribution but caved in.

The five bishops battled in the lands of Narindar. While Narindar was the strongest, the four other bishops working together were able to kill him by working together. They used their blood to create a relic, The Seal of the Bishops and trapped Naridar in purgatory. They then chained their life force to the chains that sealed Narindar in purgatory.

While they won, they did not come out unscathed. Leshy lost his eye. Without the ability to see, the chaotic one became more reckless. Hecate lost her voice. The serious one could cast no more orders, so became more strict with her followers. Kallamar lost his ears. The coward could not hear the dangers around him, so became more paranoid. Finally, Shimura had his skull cleaved open. The once wise one could only think in riddles, leading his followers astray.

Time of the Prophecy

Fearing another war, the four bishops killed the feathered ones besides four and destroyed their crowns. The four left were Kudaai, Haro, Chemach, and Clauneck. While three of the feathered ones walked the land, Clemach decided to create one more relic, a new crown. While the crown granted her immense size, it also took away her sanity and with it, the knowledge of how relics are made.

After sealing Narindar, the bishops were at peace. Unfortunately, the peace would end. Clauneck gave them a prophecy. One day, a lamb would be the final vessel that would destroy the Old Faith. To preserve their belief, they sent their followers out to kill every lamb in their lambs and hid away in their temples in four parts of the lands. Leshy in Darkwood, Hecate in Anura, Kallamar in Anchordeep, and Shimura in the Silk Cradle.

While the followers of the old faith slaughtered the lambs, Narindar was busy. When someone died, they were brought to his realm. He granted them immense power if they slew the bishops and set him free. While many would try, no vessel of the Red Crown could slay the bishops. Among these vessels, one would allow Narindar to impregnate the cat, Forneus. She birthed two kittens, Baal and Aym. The brothers were then sacrificed to be the caretakers of their father in his imprisonment.

As the gods entered a slow war, the inhabitants of the land carried on with their lives

In the skull of an old god, a spider doctor, Dr. Sozonius researched the healing properties of mushrooms but was taken over by them. His husk brainwashed any travelers with mushrooms to follow and spread the fungi’s influence.

Within the lighthouse, a cult was formed around a light that steers ships away from danger. The only one who could tend to the light was the creator of the furnace. Unfortunately, when the creator went missing after walking at night and meeting the Teeth in the Dark, the light went out and left the followers lost.

A moth named Monch seeks knowledge and wields powers to make others more loyal.

Two rat brothers split onto two different paths. One, Ratoo, gave his heart to the one he loves the most. Unfortunately, his loved one was lost to sea, and with her, his heart. Now Ratoo spends his days fishing for his lost heart and the ability to feel emotion. The other brother, Ratau, became a vessel of the Red Crown. Because he could not abandon his morals, he could not achieve the full potential of the crown. Seeing him as no threat, the bishops let him live. During his travels, Ratau made many friends through the game Knucklebones.Among these friends is the silkworm Bop, the brother of Beth.

Time of the Red Crown

1000 years after Narindar was sealed, there was one lamb left. Upon their execution, the Lamb was brought to Narindar’s prison. Narindar promises him life and power if the Lamb frees him. After resurrection, the lamb escapes the bishops and meets Ratau, the previous vessel. Ratau teaches the Lamb how to fight and how to make his cult. Before retiring to his home, he takes the lamb to the land of Narindar, where the five bishops fought, to make his cult.

The lamb then goes on to kill the followers of the four bishops, their ascended generals, and their followers.

In Darkwood, the lamb defeats the caterpillars Valefar and Amdusias along with the worm Barbatos before killing Leshy. Once defeated and cut off from Lseshy’s power, the generals become followers of the Red Crown. After killing Leshy, the Lamb took his heart and used it to empower the Red Crown and the cult. When reentering the forest, the enemies got stronger and the witness Agares appeared.

Within the dark forest. The Lamb meets many people. A fishman brings the lamb to the wharf where they find the lighthouse. When the Lamb relights the furnace, the followers of the light convert into followers of the Red Crown. At night, the Lamb meets the Teeth in the Dark asking for a fish. A tree covered in gold gives directions to Midas’ Cave. Beth sets up shop in the forest along with Forrneus, Rakshasa, and Helob. Monch is also found here.

In Anura, the Lamb defeats the bat Eligos and the frogs Gusion and Zepar while rushing the bishop of famine that made their followers hungry.. Hecate then falls to the Lamb. Upon reentering, the enemies of Anura got stronger and the witness Bathin appears.

In the forest, the Lamb meets the traveling shops often. They also meet a mushroom, a follower of Sozo. After meeting Sozo, the Lamb starts to bring mushrooms to the spider. After being beaten, Rakshasa decides to set up shop outside the land of Narindar. The crow worm duo of Klunko and Bop decide to return to their friend Ratau.

In Anchordeep, the jellyfish generals Saloes, Harborym, and Baazelbub after Kallamar cast a plague on the cult. Kallamar asks for him to be spared, but is eventually defeated. If the swamps of Anchordeep are reentered, the enemies got stronger and the witness Asteroth appears.

Plimbo appears and opens up the smuggling port. Within the death of the bishops, the witnesses return and are sinking ships trying to smuggle goods in. The smuggling squid agrees to trade for goods in return for the eyes of the witnesses to show that they are gone. Upon the third heart being sacrificed, the Red Crown awakens and shares the secret of sins to the Lamb. Upon taking crystals from the swamp, the Lighthouse is made eternal and the followers of the light convert completely. The snake Slinky also returns to Ratau.

In the Silk Cradle, the general spider Focalor, the millipede Vephar, and the scorpion Hauras are defeated as Shimura forces the Lamb to fight their own followers. Shimura is then slain. The witness Allocer appears as the inhabitants of Silk Cradle got stronger.

Among the silk lined caves, the Ratau’s old friend, the turtle Shrumy decides to return to his old friend.

After Shimura’s death, Narindar tells the lamb to unseal his prison using his followers. Upon opening the ethereal prison, the Lamb refuses to be sacrificed for Narinadar to be resurrected. After defeating Baal and Aym, the Lamb then defeats Narindar, thus destroying the old faith entirely. Narindar is then forced into an undying mortal body to serve the Lamb.

Time of the Lamb

After the defeat of Narindar, the astral gods return. They tell the Lamb that they are the only god left, the infant god of Death. They also talk about how the world is imbalanced and that the bishops are now stuck in purgatory. They task the lamb to defeat the cursed generals and witnesses for god tears and to release the bishops from their cursed imprisonment.

After returning to each temple, the Lamb kills the cursed bishops again to resurrect them into a mortal body. Each asks the lamb to find the body parts that they lost in their battle with Narindar, each of which were turned into relics lost to the lands. Upon having their relics back, they ask the new god to bring them back to their temple where they can be blessed and healed.

Other stories are completed. After being mugged by Midas many times, the Lamb beats them and banishes them back to their cave. The Lamb falls for the rewards of the Teeth in the Dark and sacrifices Ratau in secret, leaving his friends clueless to his demise and a note of how proud he was of his successor that fulfilled their destiny. A spider head is found upon the death of a regular spider. When put to rest, the follower Webber arises, forever having a full belly. After being taken over by mushrooms, Sozo dies. Upon planting the mushroom on his head, Sozo is reborn as a follower who asks for mushrooms and his Mushrooms. If denied and re-educated, the mushroom falls off and reveals the once possessed Dr. Sozonius. Upon sacrificing a flower holding a certain necklace traded by the astral gods, Baal and Aym can be resurrected and returned to their mother before they head off on their own adventures.

The astra gods also open up purgatory where the Lamb can face immense challenges of killing all they have slain to receive god tears.
