Theseus said "never if you marry him you lose me as a brother newton"
Newt said "very well then, you have not acted like my brother in years only acting as my keeper or ignoring me,so it changes nothing'
Theseus said "you would really pick him over your own blood"
Newt said "in a heartbeat he has been there for me,you never were not even when I would visit you usually had leta or a house elf deal with me so, so be it"
Grindelwald hugged Newt to him and said "Mr Scamander I would appreciate it if you didn't further upset my betrothed"
Theseus stormed off
The ICW official's asked if they could have a copy of Newt's memories starting from when he noticed something wrong, Newt gave a copy of his memory and went home with grindelwald
Grindelwald said "are you sure you are okay liebling?"
Newt said "yes, I'm certain that I am fine, he didn't do anything to me just tried to manipulate me into doubting you and that did not work out for him as you can tell"
Grindelwald said "sorry I'm just worried that if I let you go or close my eyes I'll find out this was a dream and you will not be here"
Newt said "I promise I'll be here,it has been a very stressful two days kinda let's go curl up in front of the fire and cuddle if you don't have anything you need to do"
Grindelwald said 'I could use a nap I have not slept since you were kidnapped by Albus'
Newt said "then let's go get a nap in it will help the both of us"
Grindelwald said "what do you mean by both of us?"
Newt said 'I was kidnapped I'm a little shaken up by it that's all love"
Grindelwald said "okay so long as it is nothing serious love or anything that is upsetting you"
Newt said "I'm a little shaken and a little sad about Theseus's reaction but I am okay"
Grindelwald said "good now I do believe someone promised cuddles"
Newt laughed and said "let's go upstairs"
They go upstairs and fell asleep cuddling on the sofa In front of the fireplace
Newt woke up to see grindelwald holding him as close as possible and snoring into his ear,he went back to sleep
Grindelwald woke to see Newt still in his arms and lightly asleep
Grindelwald said "how long have you been awake for?"
Newt said 'a little you were still asleep so I dozed off again just had trouble staying asleep"
Grindelwald laughed and said "let's get you back to your creature's everyone has been fed but is pouting in the briefcase even mushy went in trying to find you"
Newt said "I should have checked on them earlier" feeling bad that he had not already done so
Grindelwald said 'you were upset they will forgive you"
Newt said 'that is true, you should probably tell the lestrange family I'm okay"
Grindelwald said "Sebastian will be happy he was upset he could not prevent the kidnapping"
Newt said "tell him I do not blame him at all and that he should not blame himself"
Grindelwald said "I will do that when you are in the briefcase'
Newt said "wise choice it will probably be a while before they let me out let alone out of their sight'
Grindelwald said "I would laugh if I did not know that you are serious about that"
A few hours later
Newt was able to excape with only Antonio,stormy,mortymus,evy, Cassie and mushy following him around and a unnamed niffler that Newt found outside a few minutes ago that was injured but is like a loyal dog and won't stop following him since he healed it
Grindelwald said "I'm surprised it's not a bigger crowed and who is the new addition?" He had not seen it before so it had to have been a extremely new addition not that he was surprised his lie liebling had a way of drawing them to him and it was amusing to watch at time's
Newt said "have not named him yet I found him outside injured a few minutes ago but it is following me and the others around so it will probably get a name soon"
Grindelwald said "I'm to warn you that being kidnapped does not excuse you from the birthday party"
Newt said "I give no promises about it even with just friends attending it has been a little overwhelming recently" newt started to fidget with the cuffs of his sleeves on his shirt
Grindelwald said "and everyone understands that but they want to celebrate the day you came into this world"
Newt said t"he way you say that makes it a little creepy love"
Grindelwald said "I have been told that before but Abernathy when I planned a party for him a while back"
Newt said "for some reason I am not surprised by that at all"
Grindelwald said "because you know us both,Jones said you can leave if the party starts to overwhelm you liebling"
Newt said "that was nice of her to say, I will try but I give no promises especially since we are hosting it in the garden" he was not sure he would be comfortable so close to where he had been kidnapped days prior
Grindelwald said "he is dead therefore no longer a threat to you, I will be by your side the whole night love I can promise no one will get to you without going through me first"
Newt said "you always know how to make me feel better about something thank you"
Grindelwald said "it must be part of why you love me"
Newt said "nope but it is a nice bonus"
Grindelwald laughed and said "you are a smooth talker yourself there love"
The next day at Newt's birthday party
Newt said "this will be interesting"
Grindelwald said "you have not really celebrated your birthday have you?"
Newt said "no, when I was growing up they would host elaborate balls with strangers and I was overwhelmed and hated every minute of it, I guess that made me kind of hate celebrating it and it did not help as a child I had no friends or anyone to play with until school my brother was too busy with lessons to play with me and his friends were all heirs to good to play with a child in their views"
Grindelwald said "well that is depressing this one will be nothing like the party's hosted when you were a child love"
Newt said "good I know I'm already on a brink of overwhelmed and that would tip me over it"
Grindelwald said "I'm sorry that you are stressed angel you will be safe there love"
Newt said "I know I'm just not looking forward to the interrogation the retired aurors are going to put me through"
Grindelwald said "they only do it because they care about you love"
Newt said "I know that it does not make it any less intense though"
Grindelwald said "fair enough I suppose that could make it even more intense in a way"
Newt said "well let's get going before we are late"
Grindelwald said "technically the party can not start without you"
Newt said 'I have no problem with that but you are the one breaking it to Jones"
Grindelwald said "you are very sadistic" clutching his chest in a dramatic fashion
Newt said "nope I'm chaos or mischievous not sadistic"
Grindelwald said *for some reason I don't believe that as much as I should"
Newt said "probably because you have seen me take down a few smugglers and poachers"
Grindelwald said "there is that speaking of it Abernathy found a ring the aurors will not bust because they have a good lawyer"
Newt said "have him give me the Intel I will send a golum to a restaurant and go rescue them that way it puts no pressure on your campaign"
Grindelwald said "thank you for the thought love"
Newt said "no problem I'm sure you would do the same for me"
Grindelwald apperated them to the party they had fun Newt convinced Sebastian that there was nothing he could have done to help him, the retired aurors actually agreed with Newt on that matter and offered to teach Sebastian a few thing to help him in the future if he found himself in a similar situation again classes start next week and newt is to attend them as well,
grindelwald laughed and said if he had tried to get Newt head on and not the cowards way it would have most assuredly ended very different and newt would probably need a lawyer or they would be hidding a mutilated body from the aurors and coming up with good alibi's, the retired aurors did not doubt that much but still wanted to teach Newt a few things, all in all it was a good birthday party and newt was a little overwhelmed by being center of attention when opening gifts but remained at the party until it was time to leave
The next morning
Grindelwald woke up and saw Newt was awake and about to get up
Grindelwald said "how are you doing today liebling?"
Newt said "not quite non verbal but hard to talk"
Grindelwald said "then don't push yourself today or you will suffer for it tomorrow"
Newt nodded in agreement
Grindelwald said "what are you doing up so early?"
Newt said "sheep to milk and ice cream to make"
Grindelwald said "we could have one of the house elves milk the sheep this morning"
Newt pondered it a minute before agreeing with him
Grindelwald said "great and maybe you can show me how to make it before I have to go to my campaign meeting for the rally type thing that we are hosting next month"
Newt nodded before saying "good luck"
Grindelwald said "I am glad you feel safe enough around me and trust me enough to unmask around me and be yourself or to reveal what you see as your weaknesses to me"
Newt smiled and bsl signed I love you and you would do the same, you make it easy for me to trust and open up to you, you never react badly or scold me, you have accepted me for me flaw's and all which I never had before meeting you
Grindelwald smiled and said "anything for you dear Newt, you captured my heart and I love each and every one of your quirk's even the one's you consider flaw's, I would never want you to change who you are and not accepting them would change you over time, does it confuse me at times yes but we sort it out when you are able to and we have to find the middle ground for issues on occasion but I think it works out pretty good in the end"
Newt smiled and signed enough of this before I cry or get more overwhelmed
Grindelwald said *then let's go make ice cream with sheep's milk"
Newt smiled and led the way to the kitchen and grabbed what they would need to make it before showing grindelwald how to make the ice cream
Grindelwald said "that was easier than I thought it would be to make"
Newt smiled and signed a lot of trial and error went into making that recipe for ice cream
Grindelwald said "I bet it did, if you ever want to experiment again you have a willing guinea pig for it"
Newt looked confused
Grindelwald said "it is a saying it means I am willing to test it for you"
Newt smiled and nodded
Grindelwald said that goes for anything you make love
Newt said "you have a meeting in fifteen minutes love"
Grindelwald said "thank you for the reminder and for talking I know it is hard for you to do right now love"
Newt blushed and went back to cleaning up the mess
Grindelwald said "the house elf can do that"
Newt signed I want to do it, it is calming
Grindelwald said "odd but whatever calms you feel free to do, I wonder if later tonight you will relax"
Newt shook his head and signed grindelwald you should know by now while that relaxes me it doesn't help with being overwhelmed
Grindelwald said "fair enough it would probably make matter's worse in a way"
Newt signed sometimes it helps sometimes it is overwhelming it just depends on a few things and what set me off, If it was touch or people it tends to be overwhelming if it was just a noise level or light or something like that I find it relaxing
Grindelwald said "that is good to know love"
A few hours later
Abernathy dropped of a file for Newt and told him not to worry about it until tomorrow and that he was sorry the party was overwhelming to him
Newt signed it was a good kind of overwhelming I think
Abernathy said "well that is good we can work with that"
Newt smiled and signed see you later, how is it going with Jack?
Abernathy said "we broke it off he did not like how restrictive I was with lying to people"
Newt signed I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you find someone who is perfect for you
Abernathy said "thank you and I hope for that as well, I'm glad I found out a few things before we got married because I was aiming for a soul binding ritual over the handfasting which is more permanent as you know"
Newt signed yes and it could have killed you both if there was any doubt or deception on either side
Abernathy said "I am well aware of that, I lucked out because if we had been at the alter it would have ended in our death"
Newt signed very true, I best let you get back to work I'm sure you are very busy
Abernathy said "nope I have a break right now since he is in a meeting so I have about a hour to kill"
Newt said "would you like to learn about some creatures then?"
Abernathy said "that actually sounds like fun, I would love to Newt"
A little bit later Abernathy left to go back to work and newt worked on his strategy for the ring of poachers Abernathy had gave him a file on
A few hours later grindelwald came to the dinning room for dinner and saw that Newt was not there yet so he went looking for his wayward angel again, he found him in the briefcase asleep with the nundu's and looked as though he was exhausted, grindelwald woke Newt up gently
Grindelwald said "let's get you into bed I was going to tell you it's dinner time but I don't think you would stay awake for it"
Newt said "maybe ice cream later but I am sleepy I had a few that needed some exercise and I'm exhausted"
Grindelwald said "you could have had them chase a patronus or something"
Newt signed "I did, it take some time after your magic being suppressed for your core to recharge mine has not yet balanced back out from it yet"
Grindelwald said "then you need to take it easy for a few days love"
Newt said "I am trying to but it does not always go to plan"
"I summoned some prey for them to chase but they had no interest in it so I summoned my patronus which is a rather draining spell for me sometimes especially if I am overwhelmed for some reason perhaps it takes more magic when your emotions are not stable I'm not sure the reasoning" newt added
Grindelwald said "that is a good guess, if you need any spell that Is draining cast just tell me or Abernathy or even Sven would be happy to help you with it until you are back to normal, I know Sven loves coming down here and seeing them when he helps you with transfiguration magic"
Newt said "I know sometimes I invite him even when there is nothing for him to do"
Grindelwald said "I know he doesn't stop talking about it for days he might actually be as enthralled as you are with them"
Newt said "I think he is pretty close to my level of infatuation with them"
Grindelwald said "well you have full permission to steal him whenever you need or want to"
Newt said "thank you"
Grindelwald said "he runs a tight ship and always has everything organized and ready in under a hour so he doesn't really have a lot to do unless I get a little crazy and send him extra work"
Newt said "that is true he is testing the limits of the unlimited puzzle I got him so he would not be bored"
Grindelwald said "that doesn't matter time to get you into bed before you crash on me again"
Newt said "mkay sorry I'm sleepy*
Grindelwald said "I expect you to eat a midnight snack or a heavy Breakfast"
Newt said "wake me for a snack I literally can't handle a lot of food in the morning or I have indigestion for the rest of the day"
Grindelwald said "I know I just don't want you to keep losing weight"
Newt said "I'm fine, I just don't gain weight easy"
Grindelwald said "you are loosing weight and you are already on the skinny side"
Newt said "it will come back eventually I have stopped dropping in weight, it probably had to do with stress or something"
Grindelwald said "you gain a few pounds and I will stop worrying"
Newt said "then I guess I'll break out the peanut butter it is fattening I just don't care for the taste or texture unless it is the ultra smooth kind which I seldom find in a healthy brand"
Grindelwald said *I'll have the house elf pick some up for you"
Newt said "thank you"
Grindelwald tucked Newt in before going downstairs to eat dinner before joining Newt and falling asleep with Newt in his arms
The next morning Newt woke up and decided to make up for yesterday
Grindelwald woke up with a moan and said what do you think you are doing little minx
Newt replied "trying to seduce my betrothed"
Grindelwald said "you don't even have to try to do that little angel"
Newt said "still not a angel or little"
Grindelwald said "that I do know, you are still my angel"
Newt nibbles on his hip
Grindelwald groaned and said "you are whatever you want to be if you keep that up love*
A little bit later they came downstairs for breakfast
Abernathy said "you both are later than normal"
Grindelwald said "I was a little busy"
Abernathy said "yes you were marking what is yours from the looks of the giant hickey on Newt's neck again,what did it do heal to much?"
Grindelwald said "not really your business but no"
Newt laughed and said "I like his hickeys"
Grindelwald smiled and said" probably as much as I like yours"
Abernathy said "a little more Intel then I wanted on that subject considering I have never seen you with a hickey boss"
Grindelwald said "Newt is a private person so he does not like to mark the neck unless he is feeling territorial and if he ever does then I am not doing something right or someone is being way to dam flirty with a engaged person"
Newt said "I am confident that you would not cheat on me so I don't think I'm all that jealous, I might be a little possessive at times though"
Grindelwald said "that is something that we can both share in love, I know that I am territorial and possessive and while I trust that you would never cheat or betray me I don't trust others so I might be jealous from time to time"
Newt said "I think that is part of being human and being territorial is not necessarily a bad thing"
Grindelwald laughed and said "thank you liebling"
Abernathy said "you both are almost sickeningly sweet with each other"
Newt said "I'm sure you will find someone to be just as sappy with soon"
Grindelwald said "yeah maybe we should introduce him to Bella or someone else"
Newt said *that depends is he bi or gay"
Abernathy said "non of your business but I am bi"
Grindelwald said "Bella?"
Newt said "Amy?"
Grindelwald said "I think she might be a little unstable"
Newt said "she has chaos for a sister"
Grindelwald said "that is true"
Abernathy said "you probably shouldn't be talking about setting me up with someone in front of me"
Newt said *you would rather we talk about you behind your back?"
Grindelwald said "introduce not set you up with*
Newt said "yeah you would have to do the hard work of convincing them to date you we are just giving a introduction"
They eat breakfast and go about there day's
Newt said "Sven would you mind helping me a little today?*
Sven said *sure what do you need?*
Newt said "if you would not mind the nundu's need a habitat change and I don't have the energy level to even attempt it today"
Sven said "you should take it easy for a few days to recover and you know I don't mind helping with that even when you are full strength"
Newt said *I know, I just have trouble asking for help and I am stubborn because I wasn't raised in a environment where I could ask for help and get it without a lecture or being ignored because it was not important to them"
Sven said "that is depressing and if that is the case you are doing better at asking for help than I realized"
Newt said "thank you Sven"
Sven said "no problem sir I see you as a second boss as well as a friend in a way"
Newt said "I consider you a friend as well" he had for a while now
They go redesign the nundu inclosure so they would not get bored as easy and then played with the niffler they had named Dora for a little before leaving the briefcase
Sven said "you should set up a little part of the garden for the briefcase inhabitants to explore when they want to"
Newt said "that is a good idea I'll ask grindelwald about it later and see what he thinks after all this is his place"
Grindelwald walked in and said "it is your house as well love, I have no problem with that and also I have told you, you are more than welcome to change anything you would like to here"
Newt said "it is all nice"
Grindelwald said "that is not what I said but I suppose we can talk about it later Newt"
Newt said "what did you need?"
Grindelwald said "you skipped dinner last night I came to remind you it's lunch time"
Newt said "I'll be right down i need to feed mushy first"
Grindelwald said "I'll see you in a few minutes then"
Sven said "I'll make sure he doesn't forget lunch again boss"
