When Dudley enters primary school, the neighbors get suspicious about the Dursleys troubled nephew not entering school with him. Vernon gets the bright idea to simply drown the brat and say they had to have him admitted to an asylum.
The corpse of a toddler is pulled from the Thames and sent to the morgue for evaluation.
Coroner is a vampire, and recognizes the scar on the corpses forehead. He also recognizes that the corpse is not a corpse but somehow in some kind of suspended animation, despite the overwhelming damage done to is body.
He contacts his Sire, who is the head of the London coven, and she decides to adopt the child as her own.
