The prank ‘done done done’

Remus went to the center of the dark, cold room, while Sirius stood back, trying not to look. Remus shrieked and howled as his body contorted into an animalistic form of the werewolf.

Sirius, now in dog form, went up and started circling the wolf. It whimpered, seeing the dog. "It's alright; I'm here," Sirius thought.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a disheveled, greasy-haired boy staggered in. He froze, and the hair on the back of his neck stood up.

Sirius expected Remus to stay calm; after all, he was there, but this was not the case. The wolf turned and snarled at Snape before springing at him. "What the ahhhhh," Snape shrieked. The black dog barked at the wolf. "Moons, no!"

Snape whipped out his wand. "Septum sempra!" he shrieked.

"Pete, let's go see how Moons is," James said after finishing his food. "Oh, yeah," Pete nodded, standing.

As James and Peter left, James noticed someone leaning against a wall, holding his arm. "Reg?" James asked softly. "Oh, hi James," Reg said softly. "Are you crying?" James asked, looking back to Peter, gesturing for him to go.

Reg nodded. "Yeah, I am," James sat with Reg. "Please talk to me," James pleaded softly. Reg shook his head. "I really can't. I'm not even supposed to be talking to you right now," Reg sighed.

"What do you mean?" James asked as he felt his blood run cold. "I made a promise not to talk to you after Halloween. I'm so sorry, James. I really love you, and I tried to pretend we could be normal, but we can't. I'm sorry," Reg cried softly.

"Oh, Reg," James whispered, wrapping his arms around the boy. "No, don't," Reg stopped him, standing up. "I hate doing this to you," he whispered. "Just know I really do love you, Jamie, and I'm so sorry. Goodbye, Potter," he wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Fuck, Reg, I knew this would be hard. Please just stay with me. I don't care what happens; just let me be with you," James pleaded. "No, it's too dangerous," Reg whispered. James stood up and stepped closer. James softly kissed him. "The flat in London with music and windows," James said softly, trying to pull Reg back.

"I want that more than anything," Reg cried softly, tears staining his face. "Please," James begged for the last time. Reg opened his mouth to say something but quickly turned and ran.

James felt weak and nauseous; there was nothing he could do. "Please, love," James whispered.

He turned and started to walk towards the Willow. Remus and Sirius and Peter needed him, so he would be there.

James, now a stag, stumbled into chaos. A bleeding werewolf was howling and trying to claw at Snape, while Sirius was trying and failing to protect Snape, and Peter scampered around.

The wolf made a final lunge at Snape, but James, the stag, jumped in front of him, pushing the wolf to the ground and holding him there.

Sirius turned back into a person. "Snape, what the fuck was that spell you did? Undo it!" he yelled. Snape shakily muttered something, and the bleeding stopped.

"Go now," James commanded through gritted teeth, glaring at Snape. Snape did not hesitate; he sprinted out as fast as he could.

"No, no, no, this was not how it was supposed to happen," Sirius wept. "What the hell do you mean supposed to happen?!" James barked.

Sirius's face went white. "I, um, I told Snape where to find us. I thought this would be the perfect revenge," he confessed.

James had never felt more disgusted in his life. Sirius, his best friend, his brother, had hurt their other friend and revealed his biggest secret. "You leave too," he said sharply. Sirius winced. "No, James, please," he begged. "Get out," James said, pulling out his wand.

Sirius nodded and fled from the Willow.

When the sun rose, Remus turned back into himself. "James," he sobbed. "Tell me it was my imagination, the thing with Snape and Sirius, please." James shook his head. "I'm sorry," he whispered. Remus cried.

The boy he loved, the boy he thought he could trust, had betrayed him. This was worse than a fucking affair.

Sirius felt sick. He knew he messed up royally, his best friend hated him, and with his luck, his boyfriend would too. Snape barely got a scratch!

He wandered to the edge of the lake and peered in. When looking at his reflection, he used to see someone different than his family, someone good and loyal—a Gryffindor. But looking now, all he could see was the reflection of his mother, a cruel, insane man who would hurt his friends for a cheap laugh.

"What was I thinking?" he groaned, splashing some water on his face. "God damn it, Sirius, you're just like them," he cried to himself.

Remus went to the hospital wing as per normal and claimed the extra blood loss was from the newest gash on his back. At first, Madam Pomfrey did not seem to buy this, but there was nothing she could do.

"Remus, I'm sorry about Pads. I can't believe he would-" James started. "Save it, James," he muttered angrily.

Sirius ran frantically around the castle; he had to make it right! "Snape!" he barked, seeing the greasy-haired boy in the corridor. Snape jumped and pulled out his wand. "What do you want?" he asked. Sirius pulled out his own wand. "If you dare tell a single soul what you saw or what happened, I will hex you into oblivion and destroy your fucking life," he growled.

Snape smirked. "I was wrong, Black. You're not a pathetic blood traitor; you're just like your family," he said maliciously. "I swear, Snivellus, if you-" Sirius started, feeling more rage than ever. "I won't, but you're never allowed to do anything to me again, got it?" Snape said. Sirius nodded. "Yeah, yeah, fuck you," he mumbled and stomped off.

"Moons, moon!" James called, dashing into the hospital wing. James and Peter stood up and pulled out their wands. "Don't," Pete said angrily.

Sirius ignored them and ran to Remus's bedside. "Moony, please, I never meant for that to happen. I talked to Snape; he won't tell anyone. Please believe me; I never wanted to hurt you or anything. I swear," he pleaded, reaching for Remus's hand.

Remus pulled his hand away. "But you did," he said firmly, trying to stop himself from crying. "Just leave, Sirius. I don't want to see you." he said turning away. "But uh-" Sirius started to say. "You caused enough harm," James said, avoiding his friend's guilty gaze. "Just go."

Sirius retreated to his dorm but realized that place would not be safe, so he left there to find somewhere else.

Regulus heard a knock on his door. "Hey, Reg... I messed up," Sirius said, tears coming to his eyes
