Morning After
Ted and Andromeda were just making breakfast when Tonks came in holding baby Harry.
"Mum I found Harry in my bed" she said
"I know I placed him there" said Andromeda
"Why is he here? Are Uncle James and Aunt Lily also here?"
"Nymphadora, could you give me Harry and sit down, we have to tell you something"
"Okay" she said giving Harry to her mother before sitting down
"Alright, yesterday evening your cousin Sirius came over with Harry and put him in our care for now"
"Why? What about Uncle James and Aunt Lily?"
"Well you see, Uncle James and Aunt Lily went to heaven, the worst man found them and took them" said Andromeda
At hearing this Tonks launched herself at her mother crying.
"Poor Harry, Poor aunt Lily and Uncle James" she sobbed
"Between Sirius and us we will care good about him, you'll be a big sister"
"Yes, I'll be the best big sister there is" she said still sobbing
Just then there was fast knocking on the door startling everybody.
"It's mostly likely Dumbledore" said Ted going to open the door
"Good morning everyone, I'm sorry to bash in at such a early hour but I need you Andromeda, Sirius is in Askaban"
"What, how is he in Askaban?"
"Could we speak in private please?" he said looking at Tonks and Harry
"I'll take them over you'll tell me later my dear" said Ted taking Harry from his wive and led Tonks outside
"They said he killed 12 muggles and Petigrew with one spell on a muggle street" said Dumbledore
"He would never kill muggles, he likes muggle things, he has one of their contraptions, he left it outside" said Andromeda
"I know, I need you to come with me to the ministry to get him out, they send him straight to Askaban"
"No trial? That's criminal, who did that?"
"Crouch did, we'll try to get him out and get him a trial"
"Yes, we do" she said going to the other room "Could you take the day off or take them to the hospital? I need to go to the ministry, they send Sirius to askaban, I'll try to get him out"
"I'll do my best, take care of Sirius" he said Kissing her
"Thank you my dear" she said as she left with dumbledore
They arrived moments after at the ministry, and went down towards the DMLE section. They arrived at a reception table, the wizard looked up, startled at seing Dumbledore
"Professor Dumbledore what can I do for you?" he asked
"Good morning Patrick, I need an urgent meeting with Crouch" he said kindly
"Mr Crouch is free right now, you can enter" he said standing up and showing him to the door, and opening it "Mr Crouch, Dumbledore is here with Andromeda Tonks"
The two entered as Crouch looks up from his desk.
"What can I do for you Albus and you Mrs Tonks?" he asked
"You have to release Sirius at once and give him a trail" said Dumbledore
"Albus he was Voldemorts second in command he killed 13 people with a single curse and he betrayed the Potter's, I'll will not give him a trial"
"He isn't Voldemorts second in command, he hates the dark arts and do you really think Sirius of all people would betray his brother and sister in all but blood?"
"He's a Black, we don't know really about him"
"I'm a Black to Mr Crouch and I turned away from them just like Sirius, he didn't betray them he wasn't the secret keeper Pettigrew was, he came to me with Harry before going after him, do you really think that You-know-who's second in command wouldn't just kill him right then and there and not bring him to me? And he also loves muggles, he has one of their contraptions, maybe even more, he would never kill muggles" said Andromeda
"How do you know he is not lying to you?" questioned Crouch
"Because he would never betray then, he and James are brothers and he adores Lily and especially Harry, he would never"
"What about the secret keeper, a ploy toet everyone believe it's him while it's Pettigrew?"
"Yes, everyone knows how close they were, everyone would think it's him that's why they changed to keep Pettigrew save, but he betrayed them"
"I'll release him from Askaban and put him in a holding cell until he gets a trial, it's the only thing I can do right now, he's still charged with everything, I can't magically let him go free with the evidence that exists"
"Alright we'll be waiting for the news" said Andromeda
"Thanks Barty, it was the right thing to do" said Dumbledore before the two of them walked out of the room
Once they stood outside Andromeda talked
"Can we wait for Sirius to arrive here, just to be sure?"
"Certainly, I had thought of it" said Dumbledore
They waited at the ministry for a few hours until they saw a group of 6 aurors entering the ministry 4 guarding the 2 inside who were holding the prisoner without any problems, the prisoner smiled and looked cheerie despite his predicament.
The two of them walked over to the 6 aurors. And began talking to Sirius.
"Sirius we managed for you to get a trial, you'll hopefully be out soon, Harry is safe with us, we went under it like them, Dumbledore is the one you know" said Andromeda to him
"Thank you a lot Andy and you too Professor, I understand, I'll know you'll take care good care of him like you did to little Dora and it's good you did that, when I'm out I'll treat the 3 of you to a dinner" he said smiling and understanding the things she said
"I'll hold you to that" she said
"I know, and please if you haven't tell Remus to visit me please"
"I will Sirius don't worry" she said giving him a last smile before the aurors reached the elevator
