The small countryside village was made white by the big amount of snow that had been falling for days.
That evening made no exception, it was a dark and cold evening and it was snowing but none of these things affected them since they were staying comfortably inside their living room.
Their house was full of shiny decorations that made the atmosphere more holiday like and cozy, also they lit the fire so it would be warmer.

What made that night special was that Regulus decided to give in to James' desires and play the piano for him.
Specifically he was playing "Silent night", it was a song they both loved deeply... The song that was playing when they first kissed many years before.
It's been 5 years since they're together. Five beautiful years full of love and happiness.
Well, actually five years since they got married... That first kiss happened at a Christmas party they went to in Hogwarts where muggle music was playing.
They ended up under the mistletoe together and kissed while that, now special, song was playing; they have been dating since then.

As Regulus continued to play, James, came up behind him and bent down to kiss the exposed skin on the back of his husband's neck. That made Regulus shiver visibly and stop that angelic melody.
"Why did you stop playing?" - James whined softly.
"I can't play if someone distracts me like that" - Regulus answered in a slightly irritated, yet gentle, tone.
At that James grant and leaned in to gently capture his lips in a sweet kiss.
"Maybe you should learn to focus even if I'm around" - he teased
Regulus rolled his eyes and tried to either smile but failing miserably.
"You're an idiot, James"
"I might be an idiot..." - James paused to press his lips against Regulus' again "...but I'm your idiot, forever" - he finished the wedding ring he was wearing.
Regulus smiled openly this time and kissed him again.
Oh, how they loved doing that. Spending entire night's kissing and holding each other as the fire crackled not so far from them.
"Shall we move to the bedroom?" - James spokes softly, his lips remaining close to his lovers' ones
"We definitely shall do that"
That was all James needed. He picked up Regulus bringing him to their shared bedroom and carefully put him down on their bed before joining him in it.
