Chapter 1

Throughout her rich childhood, Anna faced no aversion, doted on by those around her, in those high-class pureblood circles that she spent years circling.
With black waves that fell to her mid-back, and deep blue eyes, a small girl, used to hiding under tables and behind curtains at galas, balls and those never-ending dinners. In those aforementioned dinners she spent little time conversing with other prim and proper pureblood children, the likes of the Black, Malfoy and Rosier families; the next generation as it were and preferred to hide amongst extravagant curtains observing those invading her home.
Although it was clear to see the Dolohov family, or maybe just the Ma half of the small family, were different their extensive wealth and fame allowed the matriarch, Katerina, freedom to whom she invited to her extravagant gatherings, half-bloods and muggleborns alike all were in attendance, dancing amongst the self-proclaimed high classes of the wizarding world.
Anna Elvira Marinova Dolohova was an elegant girl, and her mother wished to protect her from her father’s harsh and unforgiving family with their twisted views thus her decision to send her only daughter to Hogwarts. Katerina felt she had no choice, her daughter albeit cunning, was shy and often hid in the shadows and she did not seem too dissimilar from her father in that regard. He was a strange man. The eldest of two, Alexei Dolohov was frequently cold and notably absent from much of Anna’s childhood, away on ‘business’, not that Katerina believed it for a minute, his close relationship with his severely unstable brother was another issue. Therefore, Katerina found it imperative that her only daughter learn to fend for herself in a constantly evolving society.
