Summary
The wizarding world was thrown into a frenzy when word got out that Harry Potter, the famous Boy Who Lived, and Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin scion, were dating.

Chapter 1

It was an unexpected moment that left the students of Hogwarts speechless. Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, the two arch-rivals, were standing face to face in the middle of the Great Hall, their eyes locked in an intense gaze. The tension between them was palpable, and the entire school was holding their breath as they watched the scene unfold.

Suddenly, Draco leaned forward and kissed Harry, completely catching him off guard. At first, Harry was too shocked to move, but after a few seconds, he slowly began to respond to Draco's kiss. They stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, the entire school watching in awe.

When they finally broke apart, Harry and Draco were both blushing, their faces bright red.

2 weeks earlier

Harry was running through the halls to get to potions. If he were late, Snape would dock many points from Gryffindor. For no fair reason of course, which is why Harry had to hurry. He ran through the door of the classroom and ran straight into something. The air rushed out of his lungs as he fell back and hit the ground.

“What do you think you’re doing Mr.Potter,” Snape droned in a monotone, yet somehow simultaneously condescending tone.

Harry got off the floor and said, “I was on the ground sir.” He looked to his right and saw Ron and Hermione. Ron was hiding a laugh and Hermione looked disappointed.

“50 points from Gryffindor,” Snape sneered, turning away from Harry, “now take a seat.”

Harry walked towards the back of the class feeling eyes on him. He sat down and turned to see Malfoy staring straight at him. Harry rolled his eyes and turned to his friends.

“Harry, at least try to get here on time.” Hermione didn’t even turn to look at him as she said that.

“What makes you think I didn’t try Mione?” Harry caught Ron’s eye and Ron rolled his eyes. “Besides, Snape would’ve found a way to take off points anyway.”

She didn’t answer him and so Harry turned to face the front. Snape was talking about some potion or another, but Harry’s thoughts were drifting to defense against the dark arts. Again. Specifically on how stupid that class was if they weren’t even going to practice real spells. While in the middle of that thought, he felt something hit his arm. Harry looked to his right and saw Malfoy staring at him, but this time with a different look in his eye.

He gestured down and Harry looked down and saw a rolled-up piece of parchment. He picked it up and it read, “meet me after class in the empty classroom next to charms”. Harry looked at Draco with a mixture of a surprised and suspicious look on his face.

Harry walked to the classroom wondering why Draco would ask to meet him. He was on guard just in case he was attacked. He thought back on the last time he and Draco had been civil with each other and found that he couldn’t remember, so don’t call him paranoid for being cautious. He gets to the classroom and pushes the door in.

“Potter, finally you’re here,” Draco sneers, looking like he would rather be anywhere else. He’s leaned up against a desk, with his bag sitting on the floor next to him.

Harry squints at him with suspicion written all over his face as he questions, “What do you want Malfoy?”

Draco pushes off the desk and makes his way towards Harry, who takes a few steps back. Draco stops directly in front of Harry’s face and looks at him carefully.

“Potter, what do you think of the new defense against the dark arts teacher?”

Harry makes a confused face, and says, “What?” Why would Malfoy tell him to meet up alone just to ask a stupid question like that?

Draco, thankfully, takes a few steps back and grabs his bag. He pulls out a parchment and shoves it at Harry.

My dearest Draco,
I have learned of the news of your newest teacher. Don’t worry about not learning physical spells. I can acquire a private tutor. You must stay on her good side, and support whatever she chooses to do. Have you wri-

Harry looks up, “Why are you showing this to me?”

“It’s strange, isn’t it? My father wants me to agree and support Umbridge which must mean that she’s with the ministry.”

Draco takes back the letter from Harry and puts it into his bag. He looks at Harry and lifts his brow with a questioning look.

“..okay? I still don’t understand why you’re telling me. Isn’t this good for you, being on the ministries side?”

Draco looks at Harry with a nervous look. Why would he be nervous? Harry thinks about everything Malfoy told him, and he can’t find anything of severe importance.

“Look Potter, I just need you to do something for me, okay?”
Draco looks around like he’s looking for something or someone. He gestures for Harry to move further inside the room, away from the door.

“What do you need? This isn’t me agreeing to whatever it is by the way.”

Draco rolls his eyes, and says, “You can’t tell a single soul, understand. Promise me.”

Harry answers warily, “Okay, but what exactly is it that I can’t tell anybody?”

“I need you to date me.”

Harry’s jaw drops in shock. What the hell is Malfoy talking about? This has to be a joke, right? Malfoy is for sure pranking him. His friends will probably pop out of the room somewhere because there’s no way he just said what he said. Or maybe Harry heard him wrong. Yeah, that’s it. He heard him wrong.

“Could you repeat that?”

Draco looks down as he says, “You heard me.”

Harry’s not completely sure if he did.
