Chapter 2

It was her sixteenth birthday at the beginning of the school year when Bellatrix was supposed to be married off to Dumbledore's nephew in who was twice her age.

Can anyone blame her for running away from that?

She didn't know where she was going when she started running. She was in her wedding gown and tiara her mother practically forced her in. She ran through a forest, coming across a river that had to be as wide as the quidditch pitch.

Bellatrix took a deep breath before looking behind her, hearing the voice of her groom. she pushed a tree branch just barely long enough for her to cross the river with. She threw off the white high heels before climbing onto the branch. She ran across, the end practically snapping before she jumped onto the bank.

She heard the voices getting closer, she used a bit of wandless magic to combust the branch so her mother and groom wouldn't be able to cross. She jumped when she felt someone's presence behind here. "Put your hands on me and I'll be making this white dress red."

Tom was surprised to see a bride with beautiful curly black hair crossing his river. He was worried when he saw the mix of fear and anger in her eyes. He was walking over to check on her when she threatened him. "Sorry, runaway bride. If you're trying to hide I recommend something less poofy."

He picked her up, more gentle than his reputation would make people think. He was immortal and owned the small village even city at this point that got called the underworld. He carried her to a small clothing shop.

He ignored her telling him to put her down. He grabbed a couple dresses, shirts, and pants for her to wear. "You'll blend in better with those, I hope you enjoy dark colors." His voice was less monotone than usual but not happy.

"Thanks, anywhere private I can change?" She asked, letting Tom guide her to a dressing room. "I'll wait out here for you."
