Regulus was sitting on his bed. Back leaning against the wall and legs dangling of the edge. Next to him was Pandora, the girl he likes to call his best friend. She’s just always been there for him, although she is in fact a ravenclaw. But much better than a gryffindor. On the other side of the room were Evan and Barty sitting on Bartys bed- or well at least Evan was sitting on it. Barty was almost devouring Evan’s mouth while sitting on his lap. Disgusting. That’s also why Dorcas decided to sit on the floor which was just the safest option.
It was actually also rather chill. They talked, had some drinks, none alcoholic of course.
It was pretty fun. Until there was a knock on the door and some shouting.
Whoever it was they were clearly annoying.
„I’ll open it“ Dorcas said and stood up to open the door.
She stood there for a good minute confused, then she was pushed out of the way and a lot of people came in.
The first person Regulus caught sight of was his brother.
The oh so great Sirius Black from Gryffindor. And of course he was accompanied by his stupid gryffindor friends. Well, besides lupin, he wasn’t stupid.
His brother was smiling a little to brightly as he walked over to regulus, „Regggieeee“
Regulus rolled his eyes at the nickname, oh how he hated it.
„What are you doing here?“ he asked confused.
„Crashing your- whatever this is“ a new voice spoke.
And oh was Regulus fucked.
It was James Fucking Potter. Oh how he hated that guy.
Or rather how much he loved him.
Regulus had been in love with James potter since he first met him really. He’s tall, has dark curly hair and a brown olive skinntone and body that made him to weak for his likeness.
Regulus just looked at him with wide eyes.
„¿Está bien?“ James asked Sirius.
Oh yeah, he forgot to mention that James was Spanish, born there grew up there until he moved here.
Don’t ask how he knew that. And his brother moved in with James too. Just ran away from home, leaving regulus behind, but at least he still kept contact.
„Sí, está bien.“ his brother awnsered.
And with that the other people came loudly into regulus‘ view.
Lily Evan’s, Mary MacDonald, Marlene McKinnon, Peter Pettigrew and to his luck Remus Lupin.
He was still angry at them for crashing this thing, but whatever.
His brother sat next to him, „So how have you been Reggie?“
„Ne m'appelle pas comme ça“ he awnsered coldly without looking at Sirius.
He looked at him confused.
„Oh, tu as oublié tout ton français, n'est-ce pas ? Désolé…“
„Non, je n'ai pas oublié ma langue maternelle ?“ his brother awnsered.
„Well okay then… and why are you here?“
„So uhm you texted me and hat your plans were…and we crashed them“ Sirius looked at him smiling.
„Great…“ regulus muttered.
Sirius stretched out his hand over regulus to greet Pandora „Hello, I’m Sirius, Reggie’s older brother“
Pandora gladly shook his hand while smiling as Sirius said „You must be Pandora right?“
Pandora nodded, „yes, I’m regulus‘ friend“
„Didn’t know you actually had nice friends“ his brother said to him.
Now that everybody was inside the dorm they settled into a circle.
On Regulus‘ left, Pandora and on his right his brother. And almost directly on the other side, James.
„We brought some drinks-„ Marlene grinned.
„Oh you shouldn’t have we already-„ Regulus started but was cut off by Marlene who lifted up the towel on her basket that she brought in to reveal a whole bunch of shotglasses and alcohol.
„Nice!“ Barty exclaimed and Evan just shook his head. Rightfully, because alcohol was just dumb!
Well, because dumb things happen when you drink it, it’s not actually ‘dumb‘ in regulus‘ opinion.
„So how do we drink it?“ Barty asked excitingly while trying to grab a bottle of whiskey.
„Nope!“ Lily slapped his hand away and Barty frowned.
„Yeah Lily, don’t be such a boring nerd please“ Marlene made puppy eyes at her.
„I wasn’t going to, I just thought a game would be much more fun“ Lily said smirking.
James grinned, and so did the rest, besides Evan and regulus because they in fact were boring nerds.
„Any suggestions?“ Dorcas asked.
„Oh!!!! Let’s play never have I ever!!!!“ Barty suggested happily.
Everybody agreed, nothing bad could happen, right?
Well that was until the shotglasses were placed in front of every person and filled up with some kind of alcoholic drink.
The bottle was then placed in the middle of the circle for refills.
“I’ll begin!!!!” Marlene shouted a bit to loudly “never have I ever had a crush on one person in this room”
Fuck.
Regulus drank his shot embarrassed, the alcohol was also fucking strong.
As he looked up he saw that everybody must have drunken something because Lily was already refilling while asking “who next?”
“I could do one,” Dorcas shrugged “Never have I ever had a one night stand”
“Dorcas were 17 & 18!!!” Lily exclaimed shocked.
She then looked around to see, Mary, Marlene, Remus and Barty&Evan drink a shot. “You can’t be serious.”
“Oh yeah we’re not Sirius. He’s sitting right over there” Remus pointed at Sirius.
Most people laughed, Regulus didn’t, it was such a lame joke…
“Never have I ever kissed a person in this room”, Mary said while refilling the shot glasses from those that drank.
Everybody was looking at each other, not one daring to drink, till two people lifted up their glasses.
James and…Remus?!?!?
They drank their shots in silence, till somebody broke it “what the fuck?!?” Sirius exclaimed.
“Sorry pads, James here was my first kiss” Remus smiled.
James tried not to laugh while looking at Sirius’ face who looks like he had just seen a ghost.
“How about we play a different game?” Pandora asked “let’s make things more fun”
“What you think about Dora” Barty asked smirking.
“Truth or dare…but don’t hold back”
Regulus widened his eyes, his experiences with the games weren’t…well the best.
He got outed on his first game and now he will probably will again, this time in front of his real friends, well some of them.
“Yeah!!!” Marlene agreed.
So that’s what they played.
It was nothing crazy first, some dares to kiss someone in this room or to call a teacher and tell them you love them (Marlene) or some truths about having a crush on a parent (also Marlene, she got really targeted).
After a few rounds it was Regulus’ turn to pick “Truth”.
„Lammmeeee“ Barty shouted and regulus rolled his eyes.
The question came from Lily, so he had no idea what she could even ask him.
“In never have I ever, you drank a shot to having or had a crush on someone in the room, who was or is it?” She smiled as she spoke the question.
Regulus had to think, he could hardly say one of his friends or James…well he couldn’t say James at all and that was a fact.
He looked over to his brother and grinned.
Sirius looked back at him with wide eyes, “ Reggie? Well mother would be proud but really?!?“
„EW no what not you“ he exclaime „you’re to stupid and my brother ew“
„So who is it?“ Lily finally asked.
„Remus.“ Regulus said calmly and looked at Remus and winked at him.
It wasn’t fully a lie, but also not quite the truth, he said Remus only to drive his brother insane because he was so obvious about having a crush on Remus.
So only…4…3…2…1…
„What the FUCK?!?“ Sirius looked even more irritated.
Regulus grinned, “well, what’s with the reaction brother? It’s not like you’re dating or anything right?”
Sirius looked at him with one eye twitching.
Everyone started to laugh, even regulus, well besides Sirius and Remus.
Oh and surprisingly James also wasn’t laughing, he was to busy staring at a laughing regulus.
Well, well, well this was gonna be interesting.
Regulus looked around the room, looking for somebody to ask so why not “James”
James who still looked at him suddenly was ripped out of his bubble and blinked a few times before answering “uh yes uhm…dare”
Regulus had to think…should he say something stupid, he truly wanted to kiss James but was never gonna happen right? But whatever…a chance is a chance and everybody is drunk anyway and won’t remember anything from that night.
“Everybody close their eyes, including me” regulus said and watched as everyone closed their eyes, even James “not you, you idiot” he looked at James.
“Oh sorry heh” James opened his eyes again as regulus closed his eyes”kiss the prettiest person in this room in your opinion, everybody has their eyes close and no one will know. No one can look until James says he’s done and has sat back down.”
Well at least regulus knew it was never gonna be him, it was probably gonna either be Remus or Lily or someone he actually know well enough.
Well, that were his thoughts until very suddenly a pair of lips pressed onto his, gently of course because it was James potter after all.
Wait what, James…POTTER?!?!?
What the fuck was happening?
James pulled back again but that wasn’t enough for regulus, let him have his moment okay?
The boy he’s been in love with since forever just KISSED him.
He pulled James back and wrapped his arms around his neck pulling him closer and kissing him fiercely.
James kissed greedily back.
Oh he was enjoying this…
Regulus was melting, truly. Kissing James potter was everything he had ever dreamed and feared of.
