After that scene that happened downstairs ─ and that surprisingly almost nobody noticed ─ Rocco rushed inside the bedroom, the one she shared with Raiki.

Taking a second after she quickly closed the door, rested her back against it, and took a glance across the bedroom. It wasn’t exactly tidy, clothes and books were misplaced everywhere.

She walked across the messy room and plopped on her bed, while burying her head on one of her many plushies she had lying on her rest place.

She wanted to scream. It couldn’t have been possible, even if she was a vile vampire, that Luria tried to hypnotize someone within the first minutes she was in the house. Rocco didn’t expect that to happen when she approached the creature to investigate further. But there wasn’t any other explanation to what happened down there.

She had been toyed with, and she didn’t want to think what would happen if she kept going.

Would she have hurted me? She thought to herself.

But it didn’t feel like danger… Actually, it felt good. Really really good. It was almost being on a cloud… and all that just by looking into her eyes and holding her hand.

The thought of her soft touch, for some reason, made her blush. Even if her mind wasn't fully functioning at that moment, she could remember her firm yet caring hold that felt like she was embracing her. Like she was someone she could be trusted.

But then, what did the words she heard mean? If the message of the voice was the same as the one she heard when she woke up, then the end of it, the part that was interrupted… Was it supposed to make her obey? Obey her and then what? And the worse part of it was that even if she was making direct contact with a dreadful predator, why did she feel so safe at that moment?

Rocco stood up from her bed, making noise as she stepped on the floor, just as a bunny that was having a tantrum. Answers, at this point she needed answers more than before, more than everything.

She got out of her room, carefully, looking at both sides of the corridor where everyone’s bedrooms were, and then she saw it; Luria was entering one of the rooms, alone.

This immediately alerted the brunette, and without thinking it twice, ran –as quiet as possible so the vampire didn’t hear her– to get inside of the same room Luria had, and closed the door behind her, startling the other girl with the commotion of the wood frame slamming.

“What the–”

“I have questions. You answer.” The brunette strongly grabbed the doorknob making sure Luria saw it. “And you’re not getting out of here until you do so”

“I have a question for you first” Rocco was going to protest, but Luria held up a finger as a sign to let her talk, and while placing her other hand on her waist she looked at the girl that stood on the door and asked her “Have you been taught that you have to at least knock before entering someone's room?”

There was an awkward silence that filled the room for a bit, time that Rocco used to investigate the room, that was perfectly tidied up like nobody used it. Then, was that really her room? Rocco blushed again, something that happened a few times already on that day, but this time merely because of her own mistake.

How weird She thought to herself. I thought she might have entered someone else’s room to do some weird stuff… Was I mistaken.

“Well?”

The words from the room’s owner, broke Rocco’s internal questioning, and after staying quiet for a bit, the short haired girl began talking;

“Has Lilith given you permission to use this room?” The embarrassed girl asked while frowning.

She was supposed to be the one in control here, yet it was being so dificult to get information out of that creature!

“And what if she did? that doesn’t answer my question of you being here, tomboy.”

“I’m not a tomboy!” The brunette jumped annoyed, just to back off a second after it, following what she was saying “And I said I have a bunch questions that you need to give me answers to.”

“And what if I don’t want to answer?” Luria said, teasing her.

“I will… tell the others what you are. I'll tell them that you are a vampire.”

Luria’s brows hit the ceiling, surprised by the brunette’s answer, and stood in silence for a bit.

“What makes you think that, you tomboy?” She answered defensively

“Again, I’m not a tomboy. And I have evidence of it.” She said confident now, with a serious expression.

Even more silence. Tension that could’ve been cut with a knife. Luria sighed and yet slowly, she finally spoke up.

“So… you did notice, huh”

“YOU LITERALLY WERE–” Rocco snapped, almost shouting, thinking about all the hints she got from her in the little time she was in the living room with everyone. And the hypnosis thing. Oh, she was surely going to be asking about that.

She sighed, calmed down and spoke up again, a bit quieter this time “you weren’t especially careful with it, actually. Your fangs were showing, your eyes were reddish, and your skin was way more pale than how Claire had described you. And if that wasn’t enough…”

The tomboyish girl slowly approached the vampiress, and with a hand, she carefully moved away a strand of hair of her mass of silverish blue thread that went from the top of her head to her hips, revealing her neck, where two little incisions that were already scarred were made visible. Rocco sighed again, moving her hand aside, leaving the strands of hair to their original place, as she looked up to Luria, with a concerned face.

“As I thought, you were bitten by one, weren’t you?”

Luria stared down, thinking what her next move would be now that the cat was out of the bag. She was the one sighing now, and looked up to Rocco.

“It seems that I can’t hide anything from you, Sherlock” Luria grinned again, but this time not as playful as she was in the morning. Now it seemed more like she was trying to put up a character or something. It was way more forceful, and it worried Rocco, even if it was just a bit. “So, what are you going to do with this, tomboy? Now that you know it for sure, will you rat me out to the others? To… my sister?”

As much as Rocco wasn’t comfortable with a vampire at her home, nor with her teasing her and calling her a tomboy, when she looked at her closely she noticed that she, instead of the predator that was a danger to all of them, was just a defenceless girl who wanted to be with her sister again, after they were unfairly separated. In the end she thought that maybe, and just maybe she wasn’t really that bad, and just had bad luck on races or fate like Mary had, and the worried titan girl just was a bit paranoid about her friends getting hurt, emotionally and especially physically.

Telling the others what she knew about Luria—In case they hadn’t noticed yet, which once again, she was surprised that no one did, or at least, nobody pointed her features out– wouldn’t bring anything good about it, just sadness to everyone who was expecting to see the big sister Claire admired and talked so happily about. Not to talk of how the bluenette would react.

“I… I won’t. I told you, Luria.” Rocco started, calling the vampiress by her name, to hopefully feel a bit friendlier towards her, and open up at least a bit for what she was going to ask. “I just want answers to a few things, I just said that I know that, and I can use it against you. But it’s not like I want to. So please, will you give me what I want to know?”

Luria hesitated for a bit, but ended up nodding.

“...Sure. Yeah, I guess I can do that.”

Luria sat on her bed, and patted the fluffy spot on the mattress next to her. “Come, let’s at least sit down."

That startled Rocco, her brows hitting the ceiling.

She seems nothing like this morning, it feels like a total different person compared to the creature that I was worried about.

It was the second time she had a thought like that in the last minutes, but regardless of her overthinking Rocco sat down where she was told to, and looked at her ready to begin that brief interrogation.

“Can you tell me what happened when you…  were bitten and all that? How did you turn into…” Words were difficult to come out. It wasn’t an easy question.

“...Into a vampire?”

“Yes. Please, I’d like to know, especially if it’s related to what happened on your hometown.”

Luria took a second to think, staring down in silence, hands together, and a kind of sad expression, probably remembering a painful memory of what the brunette asked. The titan felt bad for having to ask that. She seemed so… hurt.

“I prefer not to talk much about it… I  just was lucky and able to run away from… all of it.” She began. “But one of the attackers followed me and… that’s when I got it.” She pointed to her neck, where the biting marks were while smiling briefly, leaving a huff. “I fell unconcious after it, and when I woke up it was when your friend... Lilith. When Lilith found me.”

Rocco tensed a bit after hearing that, and instinctively felt she had to be more careful with her questions.

“Do you… Remember any of them? Their faces? Anything?”

“Well… One of them, the one that followed me, must’ve been at least a vampire, or I wouldn’t have been turned” Luria laughed a bit, nervously, maybe saying that to steam off a bit “But other than that, no, I can’t recall anything. I’m sorry.”

“No, that’s okay… I guess it must be difficult” Rocco was surprised at herself and how the conversation developed. After sitting down and talking it through with her, knowing more about her, made her feel more relaxed, even reassured. She didn’t think she was a bad person anymore. Thinking about it for the third time made it sure; There was no predator, just a hurt girl.

But there was something that still bothered the titan.

“It’s okay, don’t worry. Just one more thing… When we were all together earlier, why did you…” She cleared her throat, seeming it to be more difficult to ask than the earlier questions, contrary as she thought it would be.

“Were you trying to hypnotize me?”

Luria turned her head, facing the brunette, but not looking at her face. Instead It felt like she was looking at nothing and everything at the same time. After a brief moment, she looked down again, as she seemed a bit embarrassed now that she brought it up in that situation. Again, she took a second to think, not without using her hand to hide her mouth first. That seemed a bit weird to Rocco, yet decided not to point it out.

“I… I was. The way you looked at me made me think you knew about my condition and I got scared you might tell them. I discovered recently that I could do that , along with a few other things…So I tried to use it to take precautions, since I didn’t want any problems…” She stopped talking for a brief moment, just to add “that’s it, there wasn’t any other reason.”

“Oh. I see.”

The titan girl seemed reassured to hear that Luria was just trying to defend herself, and at the same time she felt bad for doubting the girl that much when she had just arrived. “I’m sorry if I bothered you with these questions, I was just… worried for my friends… And for myself as well.”

The vampiress waved her hands in sign for her not to worry. “It’s okay, I understand your reasons.”

“Still, it was rude of me, I apologize” The brunette stood up and bowed a bit to her, rubbing the back of her short hair, as a sign of pity. “I won’t tell anything to anyone, and in compensation, if you need help on anything around here, please tell me. It’s the least I can do.”

Luria chuckled, and heard that made Rocco relax again. She had that strange yet sweet voice now, instead of the teasing dark one she thought she was only hear from her.

“Look at that, in the end, you weren’t just a scary tomboy”

“I told you not to call me a tomboy!!” The brunette jumped again, this time giggling a bit. “I’ll go back to my room then. Again, sorry, and tell me anything you need”

“Yeah yeah, just go, princess”

Rocco’s expression softened a bit, looking a bit sadder at the vampiress' last words, but still way happier than when she entered her room, and got out of there, closing the door and leaving Luria alone now in what now was her room. She was another housemate now, and Rocco didn’t feel disgusted by it.

Once alone, Luria laid down on her bed, and covered her own face with her hands and sighed, exhausted.

“Were you trying to hypnotize me?”

Rocco’s words resonated in her head, again and again, dizzying her. She remembered the girl sitting on what now was her bed. Her curves, every one of them were hugged tight by that orange dress, and went from above her knees all over to her neck, covering it as well.

Fuck. She wanted to take the neck down at very least, to graze at her skin, soft and silk, chocolate brownish, that was also kind of reddish on her cheeks and thighs. But the neck… the neck was ambrosia to Luria, even if she hadn't tasted it even once, the thoughts and needs of it were almost unbearable.

Yes, yes, a hundred times yes. Yes, she tried to hypnotize her, and she felt like shit for it. God, she knew it was immoral, especially since she just arrived at the house, and had no right to even talk to her while having those impure thoughts. But the second she saw Rocco it felt like she was starving, feeling a bottomless hunger and having nothing to do with food, unless her food was a painfully thicc tanned tomboy that lived under the same roof as her.

Luria didn’t know what got on her, but she wanted the brunette, just for her.

Earlier, when Rocco made that question, that damn fucking question…

“Were you trying to hypnotize me?”

It felt like she had started salivating. The vampiress had to use her hands to cover her mouth, because she didn’t want Rocco to see the mess she was. It would probably have scared her and made her wary once again.

And that was the last thing she wanted, for the person that made her so hungry like that and yet so so good to be near of, to feel scared or running away from her.

Even if that turned her on. Just a bit.

Fucking hell, she couldn’t get it out of her head. With that voice, embarrassed and delicate, just like a prey that could have been devoured any second by a big, scary predator, a predator with glasses and blue silverish hair and buns.

What could she do anyways? It wasn’t her fault Rocco was so adorable and hot, it’s perfectly normal for her to—

Stop it, girl. Fucking relax.

She noticed –just after a while of practically gushing over the tomboy– that she was having a reaction quite unusual for herself,  being a weirdo. Again, she just arrived at that place, and she was having way too weird thoughts of the only person who knew of her condition, and she didn’t even use it against her. It didn't make any sense for her to think like that. Maybe it was something she got after turning into a vampiress? She thought that she would investigate further, but now she felt way too tired and drained mentally, and just wanted to lie in her bed.

“What a kind soul… And here I am, a stupid freak, being all horny over her. Hurray, me, great achievement on your first day.”

Yet, even with all that, she could only think of having the titan princess bent over her lap.

Just so she could make Rocco her princess. Hers only.

The brunette went back to her room, this time humming a bit and even happily bouncing a bit on her step. That went surprisingly well!! Luria didn't seem like one of those scary vile blood suckers that she was told about by her father or teachers when she was little. Instead, she was really nice, and she didn't think the supposed vampire was going to be any danger for any of them.

The only thing that made her grow a bit frustrated was the girl with glasses calling her “tomboy” or “princess”. Who did she think she was?!

But still, she didn't feel any malice in her words, just playful teasing that normally wouldn't have even bothered the brunette, but on this occasion it did, and even made her giggle slightly.

It even made her hopeful that they could entable on a conversation more often, maybe even be good friends together.

But while thinking about her, she couldn't stop herself of remembering her cold yet warm hands, her silky silvery blue hair, that looked so good on her, and her gaze and look, how she looked at her with those reddish eyes s, enhanced by her glasses, that made her have a mature aspect.

It kind of made her… nervous?

Rocco shook her head. Luria was objectively pretty, yet those thoughts she was having weren’t usual on her, even with the surprises the vampiress had got her just this morning.

Regardless of that, she entered her bedroom, where she found a surprisingly tidied up room where both Raiki and Mary were talking, sitting on the canine’s bed. Actually, the blonde puppy boy was sitting on the demon's lap, while getting hugged from behind by her voluptuous body, which made Raiki visibly nervous, almost sweating.  This scene just made the brunette grow amused.

“My, my. I didn’t expect the room to be this clean, taking into account how today it was my duty to do so, I wonder who could have cleaned this for me, and why.” Raiki was red as a strawberry at this point, looking down in embarrassment. Mary, instead, just giggled and waved at the girl.

“Hi there, Rocco, sorry for the intrusion, hope you don’t mind me staying here for a bit.”

“Not in the slightest. Instead, do you need me to go until you’re done?” She chuckled staring again at the blushing mess the blonde one was.

“N-no need for it!! we were just having a chit chat, nothing else!” Raiki jumped, furiously blushing, waving no with his arms, nervously.

“True” The succubus giggled again “Instead, I’d prefer for you to join us.”

“I’ll gladly do so.”

Rocco sat on her now tidied up mattress, and had a long look to the pair that were in front of her, Mary petting the blonde’s head and caressing his tail a bit, and the canine almost melting to her touch. She could swear he heard him whine for pets a few times. She was happy that her roommate was feeling this safe and happy with the demon girl.

They chatted for a while, talking about what they had to do around the city during the week, the succubus without stopping her pets to Raiki, who ended up falling asleep. After making sure he was out, even snoring a bit which made both girls laugh, silently to not wake him up, Mary said something that startled the brunette.

“So, how was your little excursion to Luria’s room?”

Huh–?

“What?! I didn’t– I wasn’t— Luria? what 's that? Do you eat it?” Rocco started choking on her own words while trying to excuse herself, saying whatever came to her mind while giving a nervous laugh.

“My~ Didn’t expect such a reaction. But you don’t need to deny anything; I saw you entering there frantically running while having such a determined face.” Mary frowned and made weird faces as she laughed at the scene she saw earlier combined with the embarrassed girl she saw in front of her. “Did you talk with her about something interesting?

“N-not really. I just told her that if she needed anything she could rely on me, and all that hospitality stuff people usually say when there’s someone new or anything…”

She wasn’t actually lying. She was just  omitting the questions she made to the vampiress’ condition, and how she had acted that morning. Still, just remembering about it, kept making her a bit nervous.

Mary giggled, as she picked up the boy that was happily napping on her lap, carrying him on her arms princess-style while standing up.

“This morning when you first met her downstairs, you were frowning so much that I thought you were gonna get permanent wrinkles . And now you’re telling me you went directly to her room just to give her hospitality?”

Rocco slowly nodded, and the succubus just sighed, smiling.

“I’m just saying that the way your “greeting”  and opinion of Luria developed was way too fast for a regular person, and made me quite interested. Who knows, at this rate maybe you’ll end the day being best friends?” Mary chuckled, mocking the brunette a bit.

Rocco relaxed a bit at her answer, and thought she might be comfortable sharing a bit of her mind to the demon.

“I don’t know if best friends would be the word but…It’s true that at first I didn’t trust her a bit. Maybe It was her arriving so suddenly after what we knew of what happened at Claire’s hometown that made me think this was too good to be real. But later I ended up realizing I was doubting her without a reason.” She made a pause, and smiled softly. “And you know, she isn’t that bad, so It wouldn’t be so bad if we were friends.”

Mary returned the soft smile to her. “I don’t think you’ll have any problems befriending her then. You have a good heart, Rocco.”

That cheered up the titan princess, who smiled a bit wider and waved goodbye to the purple haired girl as she exited her room, carrying the sleeping Raiki in her arms.

Hopefully she’s right. Rocco thought to herself. And I can make her feel welcome and have a nice friendship with her.
