Chapter 1
It was a peaceful morning in the summer of 1995, well for some people at least. Others…. Not so much. Take Harry for example, Harry Potter was spending the summer at his uncle’s childhood home. Better known as Grimmauld Place. Harry has had quite the bazaar summer already, but going to a strange, probably very haunted house, that is hidden between apartment buildings, might take the cake.
On top of the strange house, Harry has found out that Sirius Black has a brother, known as Regulus Black. And apparently this Regulus character has friends? And quite odd friends at this. Harry hasn’t been formally introduced to them, but they are also staying at Grimmauld place for the summer.
Thankfully Harry’s best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, are staying with him (they are probably the only reason Harry hasn’t lost his mind yet).
Harry is sitting at the table, bored out of his mind, listening to the adults speak. Ron and Hermione are sitting on either side of him. Ron is trying not to fall asleep in his breakfast, and Hermione is having a very dry conversation with Ginny Weasley, Ron’s little sister.
Suddenly a man named Evan Rosier looks at the three of them.
“So Reg, he really does look like him, doesn’t he?”
Evan says to Regulus well, examining Harry.
“Yes. He does.”
Regulus answers, looking rather unenthusiastic.
“Except for hi-“
“Except for my eyes, I know.”
Harry didn’t mean for it to come off rude, but he’s tired and he’s heard the same thing 7 million different times. It gets annoying after a while.
The other man sitting at the table looks at Evan and chuckles.
“The kids got the same sass as James too. Look at that Reg. It’s a mini version of the love of you-“
The man is interrupted by Regulus.
“Shut up Barty, that is a child.”
Finally the woman sitting next to Barty rolls her eyes and speaks
“Would you all just shut up? The poor kid is clearly tired of you. He gets it, he looks like James and has Lily’s eyes. I’m sure he’s heard it a thousand times by now.”
Then Sirius walks into the room and speaks,
“I second that.”
Harry leans back in his chair and sighs, when will this day be over?
Eventually we hear the door open, and then something fall, and then the screaming of Mrs. Black.
“Damnit Walburga. Nobody likes you y’a dumb bitch”
Barty says as he gets up with Evan
“Language!”
Mrs. Weasley walks into the room and yells to Barty and then proceeds to whack him with a rag that was hanging over her shoulder.
“Yeah Barty. Language.”
Evan laughs and sticks out his tongue at Barty.
“Evan, shut up before I make you”
Barty replied grumpily.
“And how do you intend on doing that?”
Evan says suggestfully
“Have you two not shame? There’s children. Sitting right in front of you.”
The woman sitting at the table says.
“Oh hush Dorcas.”
Barty says
“Yeah Dorcas, you’re no fun”
Evan follows up with.
Harry watches this interaction and rolls his eyes. “Damn they’re annoying.”
Harry thinks to himself.
After a lot of yelling and chaos, they finally managed to shut up Mrs. Black.
And to Harry’s surprise, an annoyed looking Remus Lupin walks in with a bubbly looking blond following behind him. She had dark skin and blond dreadlocks with dangling crystals and beads. Similarly to Evan Rosier.
“Hello Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny. I’m assuming the twins are lurking somewhere?”
Professor Lupin said and seemed less irritated when he saw the four of them.
“I don’t know if you’ve been properly introduced, but this is Pandora Rosie- Pandora Lovegood. Ginny, you might know her daughter Luna, she’s in the same year as you.”
Lupin says calmly.
“I know of her.”
Ginny replied and then went back to picking at her food.
Soon enough the rest of the group walked back into the dinner area, Evan hugged Pandora, and so did Regulus, then Dorcas, and eventually Barty (though he didn’t seem very enthusiastic about the hugging part, he did it anyways)
Sirius nodded at Pandora and then sat down, followed by Lupin who put his head and Sirius’ shoulder.
