Stomach in a Knot
The day was dull. The sky was bright blue, and the clouds were a fluffy white. But breakfast was bland, and Ron and Hermione were too busy talking to each other to engage with Harry, so there was nothing to distract him from the 10 o'clock train heading back to Kings Cross.
The knot in his stomach formed slightly after his 4th scone and continued till the train landed deep into the night at Kings Cross Station. Harry didn't even want to get off the train. But Hermonie pulled him into a farewell hug, and after he was already standing, it seemed he missed his opportunity to sink into the seat for the rest of the summer.
Searching for his uncle in the broader part of the station, the knot in Harry's stomach grew, and his shoulders caved in, compressing out the persona he carried at school. From behind, a large hand grabbed him by the elbow, dragging him forward and out the door. Harry shuddered, knowing his uncle was already in a foul mood. The silent car ride back to Privet Drive only amplified this concern.
