Electra's POV:

It had been thirty five days since Electra had escaped from the organisation known as The Red Room and HYDRA. Electra had been travelling from Russia, high in the mountains, towards Europe. She had predominantly stayed out of coverage. She slept in caves or high in trees, she went to town every three days to steal some fruit and bread to eat from the markets, before ducking out and continuing her track through the forest and mountains. Electra had to make fires in the caves using the flora around her, but couldn't do it out in the open to make sure she didn't attract anyone from smoke. Electra was sleeping between five to six hours at night, and walked for twelve hours, leaving four hours for her to stop and rest. Thankfully the serum she had been injected she was able to walk for such long periods. She truely believed that this was the only reason she had not gotten hypothermia or died from starvation due to the cold weather and lack of food, but Electra was determined not to stop until she was safe.

Electra had decided to take the longer way from the compound she was trapped in, and travelled from Russia, through Belarus, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. Electra realised she had crossed the boarder into Romania. When she went through Poland,, Electra was able to steal a couple of wallets, and was able to obtain two hundred dollars and gathered another two hundred when she went through Slovakia and Hungary. When she arrived in Romania, she found a town called Oradea which was along the boarder between Hungary and Romania. She was able to find a cheap sketchy motel where she paid with cash to leave her name off the registry, and a room away from cameras. They must have others that made these requests, as they did not question it. Afterwards, she ducked out and went to a store and quickly bought jeans, a sweater and an oversized coat before scuttling back to the motel and taking a shower. After almost a month without a shower, having to wash in streams, but unable to change her clothes, she spent as long as possible under the hot water, needing to shampoo her hair three times, and scrub her body using the entire bottle of body wash, leaving the shower feeling better than she had, ever in her time. Even in The Red Room and HYDRA she was allotted five minute cold showers once a day. Once out of the shower and in her new clothes, she went to the front desk, asking for where she can wash her clothes, before walking to a laundromat and quickly cleaning her The Red Room suit, which was a full body black body suit. She also washed her underwear and socks, knowing she will need to go in between both her current clothes and her suit.

Electra stayed for two days, before putting on her suit, putting her clothes with her weapons in her backpack, and entering the forest before making her way further into Romania. Once under cover, she put her daggers in her boots, attacked her belt adding three knives and two hand held guns, before adding her electrical bracelets and placed her batons over her back in an X formation, before continuing her walk. She walked for three days through the wilderness before starting to climb a mountain. It took another two days for her to reach the top of the mountain, knowing she would need to stop at the top for a moment, before beginning the way down the mountain. When she took a break, she sat down on a rock, putting her head in her hands. All she could think was how long am I going to be walking? How long do I need to hide? When will I find somewhere permanent to bunk down?

She took a deep breath before opening her backpack and pulling out three plums to eat and her bottle of water. She ate quietly and quickly, and finished half her bottle before finally looking up. When she did, her jaw couldn't stop from dropping. All of a sudden she was looking down, at what was maybe the most wonderful site she had ever seen. Large creatures were seen flying through the air, whereas there were large fields of open space, where the same creatures were curled up. Electra wanted to get closer so she started slowly walking down the mountain, almost in a trance like state. It took a day and a half to get to the bottom of the mountain, finding a cave at the bottom, and taking cover for the night. She slept in her clothes, using her jacket as a blanket, holding onto a dagger and a gun whilst sleeping.
After waking up and indulging on an apple and a plum, she got changed into her suit and reassembled all her weapons, getting ready to make her way towards wherever the creatures were.

Almost like in a trance like state, Electra was determined, she was going to get closer. She had never seen anything like this. Not on any of her missions. Definitely not when in either of the organisations. Electra felt a pull the closer she got to the edge of the forest, and her body began to hum. Once she reached the edge, she stepped out and gasped. The creatures were more glorious up close. They had gorgeous large wings, and their body's were different colours and appeared to shimmer and glow in the light. All of a sudden she saw different men walking up to the creatures, some herding different creatures in, which Electra witnessed the large winged creatures blow fire from their mouths and set the smaller ones on fire, before moving forward and engulfing them. Electra could barely contain the squeal at what she was witnessing, however, she couldn't contain her gasp when she saw one of the men walk cautiously towards one of the creatures, which turned to look at him. He stopped, with his arm outstretched, which the creature looked at before slowly walking up to the man and allowing him to touch the top of it's head.

Electra found a boulder before sitting down, not taking care for taking cover for the first time in over a month. She sat there watching the creatures interact with one another, and watched how they ate, blew fire, flew and how the men spent their time with them. Occasionally she had to watch them use these sticks which shot out sparks of different colours which hit the creatures. She could see these creatures back away from the men, some dropped and appeared to fall asleep, and some roared in anger. Electra wanted to run out and save them, but didn't want to be seen by the men. She decided to get closer to them at nighttime when nobody was around. She was determined to see them in their glorious forms under the moon.

Finally, Electra noticed that the sun was going down, and stars started sitting in the night sky, not that she knew what they were. She realised there was so much in life that she had to learn. When it was quiet, Electra started making her way away from the forest, and made her way towards the creatures. She kept looking around still, no matter how she was feeling, she was not going to allow herself to be caught by the organisations that had stolen so much of her life already. The closer she got to the creatures, the more her body felt warm, and she could feel her limbs tingling. She didn't notice that her eyes had started glowing green, but it seemed her body reacted to wherever she was. Electra walked up to the first enclosure she found. It had tall walls made out of some sort of metal, obviously made to keep the creature enclosed. It made her furious. It reminded her of the cells she was kept in for the last five years of her life. She just wanted to set it free. Looking around to see if anyone was watching, Electra started making her way up the fence, before jumping off the other side, rolling to lessen the impact.

As she started to walk around the enclosure, she found a large cave, where she saw the most beautiful creatures she had ever seen and let out a small gasp before quickly taking a seat about two metres from the creature and crossed her legs just watching it. It was curled up on the floor, it's wings tucked in around it's body clearly protecting it. It had a beautiful shiny body that looked the colour of copper and had black markings on it. It had small horns on it's head, and as it snored, smoke exhaled through it's nostrils, and she couldn't help but giggle at the sight. At the sound of her giggle, the creature opened an eye, noticing someone sitting with it and quickly opening the other eye, before it let out a snarl and got to it's feet, stretching out it's wings. It looked to be about fifteen feet in length, and for any normal person, they would probably be scared, however, Electra just stayed sitting watching the creature in awe. It let out another roar and Electra just giggled. At this, the creature narrowed it's eyes and tilted it's head, confused at the reaction from the small human. She held out her hand like she had seen the other men do, and it took a step back snarling. This was when Electra decided to talk.

"Hi little miss," Electra spoke in a soothing tone, but it quickly growled.

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, I am guessing you are a boy?" As if understanding her, it nodded it's head slowly and she smiled.

Keeping her arm outstretched, she nodded at the creature continuing to talk in her gentle tone.

"I mean you no harm. I just escaped some bad people, and was climbing a mountain before I saw you and your friends. I couldn't help but find you gorgeous, and I just had to say hello. I can tell you more if you get a little closer," she said bravely.

Slowly the creature walked forward, Electra didn't move a muscle, as the creature got closer, and placed it's head lower and let her place her hand on it's nostril, letting out a huff of smoke.

"Aren't you a gorgeous boy," she cooed and the dragon let out more smoke.

Electra could feel the heat radiating off him, but didn't want to touching him. She was mesmerised.

"Can I pat you?" She asked slowly, and the creature seemed to understand before brushing it's head against her hand, clearly giving permission, and she let out another delighted giggle before stroking his head.

Ever so slowly, still stroking him, she slowly stood up, the creature watched her carefully, but didn't blanch until he saw all the weapons on her body and took a step back with a snarl. She saw where he was watching and she let out a sad sigh.

"I'm sorry buddy, remember when I said I was running from bad people, I had to protect myself. I am going to take these off and place them in my bag."

Keeping her eyes on the creature, she slowly removed her belt, removing the weapons and placing them in the bag, alongside removing her bracelets batons and daggers. Once they were all away, she smiled at the creature, holding her hands up in a way that showed she meant no harm. She took a step closer and was grateful then he didn't move away. Instead, he seemed to respect what she did, and took a few steps forward before nuzzling his head against her chest, and she let out a large laugh, before stroking his head with both heads. He seemed to try and get closer to him and she welcomed it.

Not long after the creature took a step away and slowly laid down and moved his head in a way asking her to do the same. She sat down a metre away this time, but the creature just huffed and crawled closer. She giggled and moved to the creature and leant her back against him. Before she knew it, the creature had wrapped it's body around her, moving one of it's wings protectively around her body, leaving her head and shoulders free.

"Aren't you just a cuddly boy," she cooed and the creature nodded it's head.

"Well now we are friends, I have to ask, do you have a name?"

At this, the creature shook his head, and she frowned. "Well, how about I give you a name?" He nodded and she smiled, content for the first time in her life. "Hmm, how about, Midnight?"

He shook his head and she agreed, "yeah I don't think that suits you, what about Coal?" Again, another shake.

"Oh I know, how about Ares? I don't remember a lot of my life, but I do know my name is Electra Ares, and I do know Ares is named after the God of War, how does that sound? Do you want to share a name?" It huffed out some smoke, letting a small amount of fire out, and Electra grinned.

"Well, hello Ares, my name is Electra, and it is lovely to meet you."

Throughout the night, Electra began to tell Ares about her life before finding him. She told him about the training she went through and the torture. She told him about the missions and how ashamed she was, and finally she told him about escaping. At times during the story she could hear the creature growl, obviously not happy about what she had went through. Finally however, she told him about the experimentation.

"Ares, it was so cruel. They put me into a room, and injected me with something, and afterwards they would electrocute me and torture me, until something happened, and all of a sudden I could move things, i had balls of green light in my hands and could throw it, I could move things using this green glow. I was able to levitate myself, and finally I could control people's minds. I could make them see terrible things, talk into people's heads and hear their thoughts. It was terrifying Ares. They made me use it on people, but punished me if I hurt them. Do you want to see? I would never hurt you Ares, I don't ever want to use these weird powers for bad."

The creature nodded, and she moved her hands from under the wings, before making her hands glow and wisps started coming out of her hands. She put her hands together and started making the wisps twist their way around her hands before she separated them and made the wisps turn into balls.

Slowly she shut her eyes and focused and the green glows disappeared. "I didn't scare you did I?"

The creature shook it's head and she smiled. "Thanks Ares," she let out a yawn and smiled at the creature.

"I promise, I won't let anyone hurt you ever," she promised, and the creature just pulled her tighter into him, wrapping it's wing to cover her more, as if trying to protect her too.

"You're the best, Ares, I am going to get some sleep, you go to sleep too," and with that both the creature and Electra shut their eyes, and succumbed themselves into a deep sleep.
