The Train

"So, how was your summer?" Cedric excitedly asked.

They were sitting in a full compartment that they had charmed to extend. The occupants included Harry, Jéricho, Sera, the Weasley twins, Cedric Diggory, Adrian Pucey, Cassius Warrington, Roger Davies, and Terrence Higgs.

"Boring." Terrence answered honestly.

Cassius copied him. "Same here."

"Well," Roger smirked. "You would have had more fun if you'd come along."

Oh, right. Roger had offered them all free tickets to a Quidditch match between the Holyhead Harpies and the Wasps, but only Cedric, Adrian, and the twins had accepted. Harry and Jéricho were traveling at the time, and Sera wasn't too fond of Quidditch.

"We told you," Cassius said exasperatedly. "Our parents denied it."

"Our parents nearly did too, mate." Fred said solemnly.

George nodded. "Mum was worried big bad Slytherins would corrupt us."

"But thankfully dear Ced was going,"

"So Dad had an excuse to let us go."

Sera rolled her eyes. "Boys. You and your Quidditch."

Nobody bothered with a reply. They had already had all arguments with her on this topic. Harry was originally a seeker on the Gryffindor team, but played an interfering chaser too, giving his team an advantage as he was brilliant at playing both positions. Cedric was the Hufflepuff seeker, and the twins were beaters for Gryffindor. Jéricho was a beater for Ravenclaw, Terrence was the seeker on the Slytherin team, and Roger was a Chaser. Cassius wasn't on the team, but was a decent keeper.

Harry hoped the light pinkish tinge on his cheeks would be ignored as he looked at Sera. He had fancied her since last year, but was too shy to ask her. She was his best friend, and like a sister to Jéricho. Besides, everyone liked her! He had no chance.

"Oh, by the way..." Roger said, "Guess who made the Ravenclaw Captain!"

Harry whooped the loudest. "Congratulations!" The twins pulled him in a headlock. And on that note, they bought everything from the food trolley and celebrated. And played four games of Exploding Snap, all of which were won by Jéricho.

"So, excited for Hogsmeade this year?" Roger smirked.

"Finally, yes!" Adrian cried. "You both've been alone for far too long."

Roger was a year older than them, and Terrence was two years older, so they had gotten permission first. Well, now all of them were going to go together.
