The Train Ride
Soon, the day had arrived.
The Potter Household was in total chaos, with Harry throwing in his stuff in his suitcase last minute, the girls shrieking with laughter as Sirius played a morning prank on James, Charles saving Monty from being squashed, Lily frantically trying to correct everything, and Jéricho standing calmy in the middle of the rush.
That was how they apparated at the station, with only ten minutes to spare. They would have liked to take the traditional way through the platform, but there was no time. After a few teary goodbyes and shovings, Harry and Jéricho found themselves in an empty compartment, waving to their fading family as the train gained speed.
"Seriously, Harry," Jéricho frowned, "could you not have packed early? Or, I don't know, yesterday night?"
Harry just shrugged and grinned sheepishly. "Now we're at last free from our annoying siblings!"
"Well said."
The boys turned to see Serafina Greengrass knocking lightly on their door before she opened it, and smiled. "May we sit here?"
That was when they noticed the several children behind her, and they nodded.
"These are Hestia and Flora Carrow-" she pointed to a set of green-eyed twins, "Adrian Pucey-" this was a boy with chestnut eyes and brown hair, "Graham Montague-" the boy was muscly and huge, with short hair, a permanent frown, and braces, "Miles Bletchley" was the one with the yellowish hair and blue eyes, "-and Cassius Warrington." who was a boy with blond hair and icy blue eyes.
"Nice to meet you."
"So, which house are you going to?" Hestia leaned forward.
Harry puffed out his chest and beamed. "Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart! Like my parents."
"I'll probably be a Ravenclaw. Or maybe a Slytherin." Jéricho shrugged.
Montague raised an eyebrow. "Black, eh? Heard your, eh, Lord Black was a Gryffindor."
"The first one, yes," Jéricho confirmed. "The rebel. The one who broke the tradition, and blah blah blah... I may look like him, but we're different. Although, Lyra could be in Gryffindor like him. A possibility."
"Well, we're all hoping for Slytherin here. Except for maybe Sera, who'll likely be a Ravenclaw."
"That's cool. So..."
They spent the train ride talking, and when they finally arrived at Hogwarts, it was like a dream come true.
