Chapter 14

Maya barely registered the drive home, her mind completely consumed by the memory of that kiss. The entire ride had been a blur, but her lips? They still tingled from where Carina’s had been.

When she finally pulled into the parking lot, she sat in the car for a moment, gripping the steering wheel like it was the only thing keeping her grounded. Her heart was still pounding in her chest, and every detail of that kiss was replaying in her mind—the teasing slowness, the control, the way it felt like Carina knew exactly what she was doing...

And then Carina had just walked away, as if it was nothing.

Maya groaned, letting her head fall back against the seat. This woman was going to be the death of her.

She took a deep breath, grabbed her phone, and typed a quick text.

Maya: Made it home safe. Thanks again for the date. And uh... everything else. I had a really good time. With you…

She hovered over the send button for a moment, biting her lip. Okay, cool. No big deal.

She hit send.

Not even a minute passed before her phone buzzed, and Maya’s breath hitched.

She opened the message—and immediately felt her heart slam into her throat.

It wasn’t a text. It was a picture.

Carina, lying on her bed, one strap of her white blouse slipping off her shoulder just enough to show the hint of lace underneath. Her hair was tousled, lips curled in a smug little smirk that practically screamed you’re mine.

And then, the worst—or maybe the best—part:

Carina’s finger was resting against her lips, as if she were deep in thought, but the tease was unmistakable. Especially because Maya could see the pink vibrator laying beside Carina`s pillow.

Below the photo, the text was simple.

Carina: Sleep well, bella. I am sure, that I will. Because I will be thinking about you while I use my little friend.

Maya’s breath caught in her chest.

She literally froze. She felt like the world had gone silent.

Her thoughts scrambled.

Maya let out a strangled noise—somewhere between a gasp and a whimper—and immediately locked her phone, then unlocked it. She stared at the image again, her hands shaking. What the hell was she supposed to do with this?

She ran both hands down her face, groaning in frustration. Sleep? SLEEP?

The only thing her brain could register was Carina. And her pink friend that was casually lying beside her.

Maya tossed and turned in bed, the events of the day replaying like a loop in her mind. The kiss. The teasing. The picture. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block it all out.

But her heart was still racing.

After what felt like hours, but only had been five minutes, Maya couldn’t shake the feeling that she needed to hear Carina’s voice again. She reached for her phone on the nightstand, hesitating only for a second before unlocking it. Carina’s number was right there, staring back at her and Maya hit the call button.

It only took a moment before Carina picked up, her voice soft and thick with arousal, sending an unexpected shiver down Maya's spine.

“Ciao, Maya,” Carina’s voice purred through the line. “Stai bene?”

Maya’s heart skipped at the sound of it. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just... couldn’t sleep.”

“Hmm, I think I know why,” Carina teased, her voice playful, like she was savoring the moment. “Pensando alla nostra notte?”

Maya’s breath caught in her throat, and she couldn't help but chuckle nervously. “Mmmh? I just... I don’t know. I wanted to talk.”

Carina’s laugh was light and low, sending a pleasant tingle through Maya. “Talk, huh? About what, bella? Tell me, I’m curious.”

Maya took a deep breath, feeling the blush creep up her neck. “That photo you sent... I just... I don’t know how to respond.”

Carina's laugh on the other end was almost smug, like she knew exactly what she’d done to Maya. “Maya, Maya... Sei così carina quando sei imbarazzata.” (“You’re so cute when you’re flustered.”)

Maya’s heart raced. “Why do you talk about you in the third person,” she muttered, “You do know, that I have no clue what you just said, right?”

“Oh, I know. Sei imbarazzata. Lo sento nella tua voce,” Carina teased, that sweet, knowing tone making Maya’s skin prickle. “Sei così... carina quando diventi così timida. Penso che mi piaccia.”

Maya flushed at the compliment but couldn’t stop the smile that tugged at her lips. “I... I still don’t understand Italian.”

Carina chuckled, the sound rich and warm. “No worries. I don’t mind teaching you. I like it when you listen... really listen. Maybe one day, you’ll understand every little thing I say.”

Maya bit her lip, trying to focus on the conversation. “You speak in Italian a lot... I like it. It’s nice to hear you.”

“Mi piace parlare in Italiano,” Carina replied softly, her voice taking on a dreamy edge. “Mi fa sentire vicino a casa... e posso vedere che piace anche a te. (It makes me feel close to home... and I can tell you like it too.) You seem to like everything I say, bella.”

Maya’s heart fluttered, her smile widening. “I do. I really do.”

Carina’s voice took on that teasing, affectionate tone again. “Oh, Maya... you are special. But you’re also so cute when you blush, when you get all shy. I like that too.”

Maya’s chest tightened, her pulse quickening at the heat in Carina’s words. She hadn’t realized how much she’d been hanging onto every single thing Carina had said. She was so... easy to affect.

“Stop it,” Maya muttered, though it came out more playful than defensive. “You’re making me nervous again.”

Carina’s laughter was light and full of mischief. “I know, I can tell. It’s so much fun.”

Maya smiled softly, her heart feeling full despite the nervousness swirling inside her. “You’re making it impossible to sleep. All I want is to hear more of you.”

“Well,” Carina’s voice dropped lower, becoming sexier. “If you really want to hear more, bella, you could listen while I am using my pink friend...”

Maya’s breath hitched.

Her heart pounding as Carina’s words echoed in her mind. Her fingers curled into the sheets, gripping them tightly as she swallowed hard.

“Carina…” she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Yes, bambina?” Carina’s voice was warm, sultry, full of amusement.

Maya hesitated, unsure what she wanted to say—what she could say. The silence between them stretched for a moment, charged and electric.

And then, she heard it. The faintest, almost imperceptible sound from Carina’s end of the line. A soft sigh. A gentle intake of breath.

Maya’s stomach flipped. “Are you really—”

“Mmhmm,” Carina hummed, a teasing lilt in her tone. “I told you, bella. You wanted to hear more of me, no?”

Maya bit her lip, her body heating as she squeezed her eyes shut. “Damn Carina,” she muttered.

Carina chuckled, low and smooth. Then moaned loudly.

Maya exhaled sharply. “I should hang up.”

“But you won’t,” Carina murmured. There was a shift—a rustling sound—followed by a breathier sigh. “Because you like this. Because you like knowing I’m thinking about you while I do this.”

Maya pressed the phone tighter against her ear, her pulse racing. She could barely breathe.

“Tell me, Maya…” Carina’s voice dipped lower, more intimate. “Are you touching yourself, too?”

Maya’s whole body tensed, heat flooding her from the inside out.

“I—” she started, but her voice failed her.

Carina let out a quiet moan, and Maya swore she felt it vibrate through her entire body.

“You don’t have to,” Carina whispered. “Just stay with me. Just listen.”

Maya exhaled shakily, her body thrumming with nervous energy. She shifted against the sheets, hyper-aware of every inch of her skin, the way her breath stuttered in her chest. Her fingers twitched at her side, itching to move, to do something—anything.

But she didn’t.

Instead, she just listened.

The faint rustle of fabric. The slow, deliberate hitch in Carina’s breath. The sound of pleasure, raw and unfiltered, just for her.

Maya swallowed hard, pressing her forehead against her pillow. She shouldn’t be here, shouldn’t be listening to this—but she couldn’t bring herself to stop.

“Carina…” she whispered, not even sure what she was asking.

Carina let out a low, breathy moan, the kind that sent heat curling deep in Maya’s stomach. “Mmm, bella… you don’t know what you do to me.”

Maya squeezed her eyes shut, her entire body burning. She could picture it too easily—the way Carina’s head must be tilted back, the flush that would creep down her neck, the way her lips would part as she chased pleasure.

She felt dizzy, overwhelmed, her chest tight with something achingly unfamiliar.

“Maya,” Carina sighed, her voice dripping with want. “I wish you were here.”

Maya’s breath caught. A sharp pang of longing settled deep in her bones.

“I…” she hesitated, her voice barely audible. “Me too.”

Carina’s soft whimper in response nearly unraveled her.

The room around Maya felt too warm, too small.

Another quiet moan. Another shaky breath.

Maya gripped her sheets, her pulse hammering.

She had never felt this close to someone without even touching them.

The rhythm of Carina’s breath deepened, turning into something more raw, more desperate. Maya could hear every shift, every quiet gasp, and it sent a shiver down her spine. She lay frozen.

“Maya…” Carina’s voice was barely more than a sigh, thick with pleasure.

Maya swallowed hard. “I’m here.”

A whimper—soft, needy.

The sound of more fabric rustling.

And then, “Oh—MA-YA.”

Maya’s stomach tightened, her body reacting instinctively to the sheer heat in Carina’s voice. She could picture it now with unbearable clarity—Carina’s back arching, her head tilting back, lips parted as pleasure overtook her.

Another moan, sharper this time, breaking into a breathless cry.

Maya’s pulse pounded in her ears. She had never experienced anything like this.

And then, Carina gasped, a long, shuddering sound that sent heat pooling low in Maya’s stomach. A few ragged breaths, a soft, satisfied hum.

Silence stretched between them, charged and intimate.

Maya let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding.

Carina let out a lazy, contented laugh. “Mmm… sei ancora lì, bella?”

Maya blinked, trying to find her voice, her thoughts scrambled. “Y-yeah. I’m here.”

Carina hummed again, her voice thick with drowsy satisfaction. “You stayed the whole time.”

Maya bit her lip, heat rising to her cheeks. “Yeah… I did.”

A pause. Then Carina’s teasing, affectionate voice. “Oh, Maya… I think you liked that even more than I did.”

Maya groaned, pressing her face into her pillow. “Stop.”

Carina laughed softly, the sound warm and full of mischief. “Okay, okay. But… grazie.”

Maya frowned slightly, shifting onto her back. “For what?”

Carina sighed, her voice turning softer, more sincere. “For being here.”

Maya’s chest tightened at the tenderness in her tone. She smiled, her heart feeling impossibly full.

“Always.”

Maya was staring at the ceiling, her phone still pressed to her ear. The room was quiet except for the soft sound of Carina’s breathing on the other end of the line. It should have felt strange—staying on the phone like this, long after Carina had come undone—but it didn’t.

Carina was the first to break the silence. “Maya…”

Maya swallowed. “Yeah?”

There was a teasing warmth in Carina’s voice. “I think it’s only fair I return the favor.”

Maya’s entire body tensed. “W-what?”

Carina chuckled, slow and knowing. “Oh, come on. You listened to me. You stayed, you liked it. I could hear it in your breathing, bella.” Her voice dipped lower, turning sultry. “Now I want to hear you.”

Maya’s breath hitched. “Carina—”

“Shh, don’t overthink it.” There was that soft, commanding tone again, the one that made Maya’s stomach flutter. “Close your eyes.”

Maya hesitated, her heart pounding, but she did.

“Good.” Carina’s voice was warm, soothing. “Now… I want you to take a deep breath. Let yourself relax.”

Maya exhaled slowly, her fingers gripping the sheets.

“Tell me… what are you feeling right now?”

Maya bit her lip. “I don’t know.”

“Yes, you do,” Carina murmured. “You’re nervous, but you’re excited. You’re warm. You’re aching just a little bit, aren’t you?”

Maya’s cheeks burned. She couldn’t answer, but the silence was enough.

Carina’s voice softened. “It’s okay, bella. I want you to feel good. I want to make you feel good.”

Maya let out a shaky breath. “I… I don’t know if I can.”

“You can.” Carina’s voice was a gentle caress. “Just listen to me.”

Maya’s pulse thrummed beneath her skin, anticipation curling in her stomach. She had never done anything like this—never let someone else take control like this, even from a distance.

But it was Carina.

And that made her want to try.

“Touch yourself, Bambina,” Carina whispered. “Slowly. Just start… and let me hear you.”

Maya’s fingers trembled as they brushed over her stomach, inching lower. Her breath shuddered.

Carina hummed approvingly. “Good girl.”

Maya’s entire body tensed at the praise, heat flooding through her.

She swallowed hard, her breath uneven. This was so new—so intimate in a way she hadn’t expected.

But Carina made her feel safe.

“That’s it, bella,” Carina murmured, her voice like velvet in Maya’s ear. “Piano, dolcezza. Non devi correre… You don’t have to rush… I want you to really feel it.”

Maya’s breath hitched. The Italian was making it worse—better—making everything feel deeper, more intoxicating.

Her fingers drifted lower, the barest brush over her skin sending a shiver up her spine. She let out a shaky sigh.

Carina hummed approvingly. “Sì, just like that. Keep going. I want to hear every breath, every little sound you make.”

Maya’s pulse pounded in her ears. “Carina—”

“Shh, amore,” Carina crooned. “Non pensare. Solo sentire.”

Maya exhaled shakily, her body betraying her as her fingers explored further. She bit her lip, trying to stay quiet, but Carina heard everything.

“Mmm, ti piace quando ti tocco con le parole, vero?” (Mmm, you like it when I touch you with my words, don’t you?)

Maya let out a soft whimper, her body growing hotter.

Carina’s breath was slow, measured, dripping with affection and desire. “Imagine it’s my hands on you. My lips.”

Maya clenched her eyes shut, her chest rising and falling quickly.

“Dimmi cosa senti,” Carina urged, her voice dipping lower, rougher.

Maya swallowed hard. “I— I …” She hesitated, embarrassment creeping in, but Carina was patient.

“Tell me, what you feel, bambina.”

Maya let out a shaky breath, giving in. “I feel warm… needy.”

Carina made a soft, pleased sound. “Brava.”

Maya’s breath came quicker now, her fingers tracing lower, her body pulsing with anticipation. Every word from Carina wrapped around her like a touch, soft and insistent.

“Good girl,” Carina purred. “Now let me hear more.”

Maya bit her lip, trying to hold back the sound threatening to escape.

Carina chuckled, warm and teasing. “No, no, bella. Don’t hold back.”

Maya exhaled shakily, letting out the softest whimper.

“That`s it.” Carina murmured approvingly. “You sound so beautiful.”

Maya squeezed her eyes shut, her body tingling from head to toe. The way Carina spoke to her—gentle, commanding, utterly intoxicating—was undoing her piece by piece.

“Adesso, I want you to imagine it’s my hand, my fingers…”

Maya gasped softly, her mind instantly supplying the image—Carina above her, whispering in Italian against her skin, her touch slow and deliberate.

Carina hummed at the sound. “Do you feel it, bambina?”

Maya let out a breathless, “Oh, god! Yes…”

“Bene. Now do what I tell you, sì?”

Maya swallowed hard. “O-okay.”

Carina’s voice dropped even lower, sensual. “Fully touch yourself for me. I want you to think of me while you do it.”

Maya whimpered, her body burning at the intensity of Carina’s words. She moved exactly as Carina instructed, her breaths coming out in soft, uneven gasps.

“Sì, così…” Carina’s own breath was heavier now, like she was caught up in this just as much as Maya was. “Let go for me, bella.”

Maya’s body tensed, the pleasure building, her chest rising and falling rapidly. The world faded away, and all that remained was Carina—her voice, her words, the way she made Maya feel.

“Sono con te, bambina,” Carina whispered. “I want to hear you when you let go.”

Maya couldn’t hold back anymore. With one last shaky breath, her body tensed, and she let out a soft, broken moan—Carina’s name slipping from her lips as she shattered.

Silence followed, except for their breathing—Maya’s heavy, Carina’s warm and steady.

Then, a soft, pleased hum from Carina. “Good girl.”

Maya turned onto her side, hugging her pillow, her body still humming from the aftershocks. “Carina…” she whispered.

“Shh, riposa ora,” Carina murmured, her voice full of warmth. “Buonanotte, Maya.”

Maya smiled sleepily, her heart impossibly full.

“Goodnight, Carina.”

--------------------------

Maya woke up the next morning feeling lighter than air. She couldn’t help the giddy smile that tugged at her lips as she stretched out in bed, her body still humming with the warmth of Carina’s voice from the night before.

Her heart fluttered as she thought about it—how Carina had guided her.

She couldn’t help but laugh softly to herself, feeling both vulnerable and empowered at the same time.

Maya grabbed her phone from the nightstand, her heart skipping a beat when she saw a message from Carina.

“Buongiorno, bella. How are you this morning? I hope you’re still smiling.”

Maya’s chest tightened as she typed her response, her fingers trembling slightly.

“I’m smiling, Carina. I can’t stop. Last night… was unforgettable.”

She hit send and stared at the screen for a moment.

Her phone buzzed in her hand, and a soft gasp left her lips as she saw Carina’s reply.

“It wasn’t just unforgettable for you, bella. I’ve been smiling all morning too.”

Maya’s heart swelled, and she quickly typed back, “Good. I’m glad. You made me feel… special, Carina.”

She bit her lip, waiting for a response, her stomach fluttering with anticipation. Carina had this way of making her feel like nothing else in the world mattered when they were together, even if it was just over the phone.

A few moments later, Carina replied.

“You are special, Maya. And I’ll keep making you feel that way, if you’ll let me.”

Maya smiled to herself, her heart racing at the promise in her words.

“I’d like that.”

“I thought you would.”
