Remus lupin is the English teacher everyone had a crush on in high school and you know I'm right
Summary
Remus Lupin is an English teacher at the local high school, he's type one diabetic and uses a cane. Everybody loves him. He's the teacher you go to if you're having a mental breakdown or you need someone to come out to and you have unsupportive parents because everybody knows that Mr Lupin will accept and support them. Sirius Black is the music teacher at the same high school. He has tattoos and he's the only teacher that the rebel kids listen to. Nobody is meant to know that they're married but as with all secrets at schools everybody knows.

Neville got lost

Remus walked along the corridor on the way back to his classroom. He hoped he'd be back before his students arrived but he'd left them some fun worksheets about Shakespeare to do if he didn't get back in time.
As he walked along the corridor, he heard sniffling and crying coming from a classroom. The classroom should've been empty so he found that odd.
He opened the door to investigate and found a young student that he didn't recognise.
They looked very small so they must've been in Harry's year and they had the uniform on so they weren't a runaway from the junior school nearby.
The uniform looked massive on the tiny boy. He had large rosy cheeks and brown hair that covered his eyes.
Remus kneeled down so he was on the boy's level and asked him "hey, what's your name?"
The boy hiccuped from tears and answered "I-i-I'm Neville, Neville Longbottom."
Remus smiled reassuringly and asked "okay, Neville. Are you lost?"
Neville nodded
"Alright, where are you meant to be? I'll help you find your classroom." Remus asked
Neville replied "I'm meant to be in PE."
That was on the other end of the school. Remus was definitely going to be late to his classroom but he needed to help this kid.
Remus smiled and said "I know where that is. I'll bring you there. Don't worry."
Neville wiped his tears and replied "really?"
Remus replied "of course, I'd never leave a poor student lost and alone."
Neville smiled and replied "thank you, sir."
Remus smiled and walked off, gesturing for Neville to follow.
Neville had no problem keeping up because Remus' cane slowed him down considerably.
Neville timidly spoke up after a few moments "excuse me, sir. I'm sorry if this is impolite to ask but why do you use a cane?"
Remus got down to Neville's level and whispered "I use a cane because it's got a sword in it and I'm a samurai."
He didn't think Neville would understand the real reason. Diabetic neuropathy wasn't something people learned about unless they were diabetic.
"Wow." Neville said in an awestruck voice.
They finally got to the PE hall and Remus waved to James
"Hey, James, I found a straggler. He got lost but I found him for you." Remus said and shooed Neville into the group of year sevens.
"Thanks, Remus." James said with a smile.
Remus walked off to his classroom and hoped he wasn't too late.
