Chapter 1
Draco’s View
Looking up at the dull ceiling, boredom swallows him whole so does a large amount of guilt that’s riddled up inside of his body. Why did he even take this stupid mark? It was obvious Potter would win and now here he is, fallen from grace. People used to think the Malfoy's were something to be proud of but not anymore all the wizarding world frowns upon the Malfoy's. The Slytherin can’t even walk through his own home without having to cover his ears to try to tune out the screams he can still remember from tortured victims that were abused by the cruel Death Eaters. The only safe place is his room. Full of happy memories from when he was little, the rocking chair in the corner was where his Mother would sit and read to him whilst he was sat on her lap. He loves his Mother dearly, he couldn’t say the same for his Father though..at least he doesn’t have to see him anymore as he’s in Azkaban, for a while now.
The Slytherins thoughts are quickly stopped short after hearing a tapping sound on the window, it’s his owl. He carefully opens the window and grabs the letter. The letter has a red wax closing, he knows where this letter came from.. Hogwarts. He opens it with shaking hands. It’s reads.

Malfoy manor
Wiltshire”
”Hogwarts. School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
We would like you to come back to Hogwarts to retake your final year. Also known as Eighth Year.

Mcgonagoll.”
Hands still trembling. Does he go back? Or stay in the manor and avoid the hateful glares he may get from everyone.. He knows he will have Pansy, Blaise and Greg..but it’s going to feel so strange without Vince.. after he fell into the fire in the Room Of Requirement he can’t get over the fact he witnessed one of his best friends dying. He sighs.. he might try going back just to get out of the Manor and escape the horrible memories he has. He glances back at the letter worried for what’s to come if he does go back. At least he will ,hopefully, have his friends with him. He places the letter onto his mahogany desk and begins packing, he always used to pack early before going back to Hogwarts. Let’s try and get back into a routine that’s been easy to follow and remember for him. He likes having a routine. It calms him down and allows him to focus on one thing and stops bad thoughts entering his head. He should get some sleep in a bit. That would be nice. He finished packing and goes to the bathroom and brushes his teeth and then his blonde hair, he grew it out after the war, he thought it would suit him. It clearly does. After brushing his hair he changes into a set of silky green pyjamas and settles in his warm bed, he drifts off into a sleep. Darkness consumes him..
