More Than the Sea
Summary
Pirates Moony and Padfoot have known each other for four years. Been together three, and married for two. Yet they don’t know their most hidden secrets. But…Prince Remus and Prince Sirius will soon find out what stretches a little more than the sea.

The day began as usual. Being captain has its perks. A whole room to themselves. No intruding crew members. Moony stretches and tightens his hold on Padfoot. He places a few kisses along Pads neck until he awakes.

“Mornin” a soft murmur and tiny smiles. They lay there for a while, well they do more than just resting. Until Wormtail calls everyone for breakfast.

Breakfast is always a delight on the ship. Alice sings, Frank plays some kind of instrument and the whole crew sings along even though they just woke up. Moony is proud of all the men and women he has collected to be a part of their strange but lovely family. But most of all he is proud of Padfoot, his husband.

First time he had met Pads had been when they had been on land for their annual week on land to visit anyone they pleased, usually family members. Pads had stood in a fish market and tried to sell the tiniest fishes Moony had ever seen. But oh the man was stunning. It was the gray eyes he saw first then the sharp cheekbones and then his long luscious hair caught in the wind. He was the most breathtaking man Moony had ever seen and he had seen many beautiful men. Moony had gone up to him and offered a real job with lots of adventure. Pads had nodded excitedly and he had met everyone on the ship a week later.

Padfoot was a bit of a mystery in the beginning; he was some posh boy that had little experience with working life. But he had taken pity on him and he educated Pads on many different topics, mainly on piracy. It had shown that Pads had a knack for that thing and Moony had made him first hand only six months after meeting him. Then things escalated and now they have been married for two years. In their first year of marriage they got a new crew member. The new crew member turned out to be one of Pads old friends, apparently he was called Prongs, but Moony had never found out why. Sometimes he was a little jealous over their friendship but that's really nothing to worry about.

Their four year anniversary is today, meaning they are to spend a week on land. Moony really wishes he didn’t have to meet his mother and go to the new King's birthday dinner. Otherwise he would probably spend the whole week meeting Pads family, although Pads had never mentioned them. But he always went away to meet someone every year, and he always went with Prongs. Did they share a family or is Prongs the only one that’s got one. It seems like Moony never will find out.

After breakfast they kiss goodbye and Moony is on his way to the castle. He walks along some fields and then he walks in town until he reaches the front gate. A guard stands there.

“Hi, I’m here to attend the king’s birthday dinner.” He sounds a little emotionless when he speaks to the guard, but what can he do when he already misses his star.

“Name!” It’s short and harsh.

“Prince Remus Lupin, would you like to see my invitation too?” Perhaps a little foolish to turn the conversation into something bigger than it needs to be.

The guard just opens the gates and Remus walks swiftly in. He’s escorted to his guest rooms where he changes into a more appropriate attire before meeting his mother just outside his door. Remus arrived quite late so they make hastily conversation while getting escorted to the dining hall.

A little boy runs right into Remus and he stops short while his mother just manages to catch the boy before he hits the floor. Remus looks down and tries to assess if the boy has got any injuries. When he looks down he is startled to see a mini Prongs in a fine almost regal suit. The boy looks almost exactly like his crew mate except for his eyes, they are a startling green.

“Sorry!” They boy says and looks a little guilty. Well he had been running in the hallway.

“Oh, no worries dear. You didn't hurt yourself, did you?” His mothers kind voice questions.

“I’m alright. I guess mum was right about running in the halls.” The boy looks down a little shyly.

“Harry! What did I tell you!” A red headed woman with the same green eyes walks down the hall.

“I know but I wanted to be cool like daddy and Siri.” The boy, Harry replied to his mother. She turns to Remus and his mother.

“So sorry, Queen Hope.” Remus’s mother smiled kindly.

“No worries dearie. He didn’t run into me, and I understand young boys' minds. I raised one myself.” Remus smiles a little awkwardly as the redhead turns to him and he sees she’s about to apologize to him too. Before she can, Prongs walks down the hall right in their direction. Remus wants to hide. Hide real badly, but too late Prongs’ eyes have seen Remus. Prongs the bastard exclaims:

“What the fuck!” The redhead spins around quicker than lightning.

“Daddy bad word!”

“James! Not in front of royalty!” James? Is Prongs’ real name James?! Remus thinks James doesn’t suit him. Prongs is a ball of sunshine and James doesn't have the ring to it. But guess it’ll have to do.

“Royalty?! What!” Prongs—James looks bewildered. He’s just staring at Remus with his mouth open. Remus himself is a little bewildered that Prongs has a child and is married. Does that mean that his star also is at the castle? Remus intended to find out later, maybe after the birthday dinner.

“Yes, royalty!" Queen Hope and her son Prince Remus. I’m so sorry for my husband's behaviour!” His mother just smiles and reassures Lily as they find out later that it’s no problem, and she reminds Lily again that she raised a little troublesome boy herself. Remus tries not to groan at his mothers conversation. James just smiles a little bewildered and mutters something about Prince Sirius that Remus doesn’t understand.

The group walks into the dining hall. His mother explains that it’s just the closest friends and family that are about to attend. Remus has no idea why they are invited in that case. He didn’t think his mother was good friends with the Black family. But apparently he was wrong.

They stand in a line, one and one going to the end of the table to wish King Regulus a happy birthday. When it’s Remus’ turn he speaks fast and then walks away to his seat. Across from his mother and next to Prongs—James. There is something familiar with King Regulus but Remus can’t put his finger on it.

Apparently they are waiting for one more person. Prince Sirius. After ten minutes King Regulus sighs and young Harry is bouncing around in his chair. Remus thinks that at least the King’s brother could be on time but apparently not. Harry apparently is tired after an extra five minutes and he jumps up from his seat and runs to the door when it opens.

“Siri come on! I’m hungry!” Remus thinks Harry might have the cutest voice ever. The answering voice makes Remus’ spine straighten to its full compassity when he turns around as fast as he can.

“I’m only a little late, Sprog!” Padfoot answers defensively. He picks Harry up and walks to King Regulus and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Wait… what?! Padfoot, Remus’ star and husband is Prince Sirius fucking Orion Black III?

They have known each other for years! They sleep together and share a ship together. They are the most feared pirates ever, they have sooo much money on their heads, and both of them are princes?

This must be some kind of joke but when Pads straightens up and is about to walk to his seat, which is next to Remus’ own, he stops abruptly and his eyes connects with his husbands.

Pads just stares and Remus stares back. The moment stretches for ages, well it feels like it. It looks like Pads is about to say something before his brother interrupts his thought.

“Sirius sit down! We’ve been waiting ages for you and we’re all hungry. You can eyefuck Prince Remus after dinner!” Pads eyes widen and he takes his seat next to Remus and he lets Harry walk back to his seat.

“Prince?!?” He whisperes harshly at Remus.

“You can’t say anything! You're a Prince yourself!” Remus whispers back just as harshly. Pads eyes glow with something more than love and anger, maybe something strong or he’s most likely turned on. Remus might be too.

His mother casts a glance at them and then continues with dinner. James says something about them reintroducing themselves to each other that has Pads replying a little more than a whisper that they’re already married. Harry’s eyes lights up and screams:

“Are you married Siri!!” Which makes everyone at the table looking at Pads.

Pads looks a little sheepish when meeting his brothers eye.

“You’re married? To who?!” King Regulus raises a questioning eyebrow at his brother. Pads glance at Remus for a second and Remus nods in approval before he turns back to his brother. His stomach twists.

“Well me and M—Remus are married. Been for tw- “ Remus’ name sounds strange on Pads —no Sirius’ tongue. Before Sirius can finish his sentence both Remus’ mother, King Regulus and Lily exclaims:

“WHAT!” They look angry and Remus wants the ground to swallow him whole. Sirius takes his hand and they look each other in the eyes and they answer all questions being asked. Remus has never been happier and Sirius seems to enjoy himself immensely.

Later when they go back to one of their rooms they have the most amazing time.
