The Forgotten Statue

Chapter 1
”The Forgotten statue”

Hogwarts Castle is a majestic and imposing structure, set against the scenic backdrop of the Scottish Highlands. Its towering spires, turrets, and medieval architecture give it an enchanting and mysterious aura. The castle is surrounded by vast grounds that include the Forbidden Forest, the Black Lake, and the Quidditch Pitch.

The interior of Hogwarts is equally captivating, with grand halls, moving staircases, and enchanted corridors that seem to have a life of their own. Each of the four houses—Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, has its own unique common room and dormitories. The castle is steeped in history, with secret passages and hidden rooms that hold centuries-old secrets. The Great Hall, adorned with floating candles and starry skies, is where students gather for meals and important events, while the Headmaster's office is perched at the top of a winding staircase, overlooking the magical school. Overall, Hogwarts Castle is a place where the wonders of magic come to life, and each corner is infused with a sense of awe and mystique. This is the 1992, at night a few students could be seen divided or united walking near the corridors or huddled up in the courtyard probably on their way to the dormitories , as the quidditch players gather to practice for their competition one last time. Teachers here and there working or on duty patrol. As a Slytherin student could be seen in the restricted section looking for books to maybe study or just read for fun, as his brown eyes pondered through the thick to thinnest books, his eyes kept eyeing the statue of a strange wizard, his figure looked intimidating, as he felt like the statue cold come alive anytime, not that he wouldn’t be surprised, he always saw that statue here, yet everything he was close to it, he felt a sort of power come through it.
The statue didn’t have a description of it, but when he asked one of his professors, it was a student who did something great
A long…long time ago.
He grunted and decided to finally approach it as he walked over to it, with every step he took his decision began to waver, as the halls began to look far as the statue looked like it was approaching him, but before he could walk away again or even think. He was in front of it.

”Lumos” the student observed the statue, it would appear it was made of stainless steel, the way it shined through the light.
A gleaming stainless statue captures the essence of a student in a moment of magical triumph, their wand held high with determination. The polished surface reflects the surrounding light, emphasizing the intricate details of the student's robes and the dynamic movement frozen in time. The statue emanates a sense of achievement and reverence, standing as a timeless tribute to the magical prowess and spirit of the wizarding world. It could be seen from his cloak, he looked to be a Ravenclaw, and older than the slytherin kid himself. As he was examining him from back and front, he touched the statue with his wand, expecting something to happen, he closed his eyes, waiting….nothing absolutely nothing, he sighed relieved as he chuckled to himself until he looked up to see his wand, it would appear where the tip of the wand was, there appeared to be a little crystal, just how important was this student?

”What did you do?” The student muttered as he looked around and quietly summoned a chair as he climbed onto it
he made sure to not fall as he tip toed up, he looked around the restricted session, once more to make sure no one was here, as he looked at the face of the Ravenclaw boy, he just noticed he had glasses, he held a laugh “You look ridiculous.”
He smirked, just before he could think or say anything, his wand touched the tip of the crystal, and it began to glow, as the light on his wand had began to dissipate. Troubled he tried to speak until, he heard something open, swearing through the moonlight by the window of the far end left corner, he saw the statue blink or even move, as he let out a startled yelp.

he tripped as the chair fell making a loud echoing thump, the librarian will surely get him this time, and he swore to not get caught for his third time. As he winced feeling pain coerce through his body especially his back and head, as he let silent tears fall, he sniffled glaring at his wand, then looked at the steeled statue, it hasn’t wavered, so what was that sound?

looking around from what the moon could give him, he painfully got up as he walked over to it about to probably curse it out or kick it, until he stopped, the chest of where the stomach area has a squared whole on it, confused and terrified, thinking he broke it or something of creature like would appear, he had his wand ready, although he was a second year student, his mind was racing through what it could have, instead of the enchanting spell he wanted to say.

Once he approached it, using lumos once more, he saw dust and cobwebs in it, as he decided to be brave. He stuck his hand inside it, waiting to feel something crawling onto him, he quickly sways around until feeling something cold yet leathery, he grabbed it, and without looking, it closed on him, he cursed knowing he didn’t see what else was inside it. If he’s lucky he could come back and retrieve it, who knows maybe there was some treasure inside it.

Finally looking at what he grabbed, his eyes begin to sparkle a bit, a book, not many would be pleased by this discovery, but he was pleased to know it was an artifact he could use or sell. As he looked at the patterns of the book, it looked antique
a he blew the dust coughing up. He swatted the air, until seeing the book, some of the brown l;Esther was coming off as it had a symbol in it, the hogwarts crest symbol, his fingers sliding through the hard cover, he could see something written in it, it was plastered in silver and gold, but before he could read what it said. He felt a cold hand touch his shoulder
As he let out a scream

”HENRY SALLOWS, YOU BETTER GIVE A GOOD EXCUSE AS TO WHY YOU’RE HERE AGAIN!” Quickly hiding the book under his cloak, Henry staggered a smile “Ms…Ms. Pince what a lovely surprise…how’s the cat?”
he tried to leave but she had a firm grasp at him, as her black beady eyes stared daggers at him
”Dormitory now…and hand over the book…”

He gulped as he didn’t wish to give the book he won over…it was his after all…but the look she had, means murder
sighing he handed her a black leathered book, Ms. Pince eyed the book then at him, as she sighed
”50 points off of Slytherin…again…you better not let me catch you here again, Mr. Sallows…off you go or else the fourth will be detention.” He sighed relieved as he walked away quickly eyeing irritable figure, but stopped when he looked at the statue again.

”Ms. Pince..”

“What?!” Glared the librarian. As he gulped looking at the statue then pondered

”Do you..do you know who that student was?” He asked
Finally Ms. Pince’s vulture looking feature suddenly soften, then pondered as she looked at the statue then at him almost just as confused as he was.

”I don’t know..why the question?”

Silence, as he stared at the Ravenclaw statue swearing, it was looking at him now.
He gulped as he smiled nervously “nothing..nothing at all.”
and with that he left, as the librarian seemed to observed the statue then the wand as she glared at it then scoffed shaking her head as she left the restricted section. Leaving the statue alone as the moon began to dissaper as the grey clouds, covered the light it once gave the statue, as it looked like it smiled. A ghostly smile.
