Summary
Severus Snape has always prided with his ability to discern situations. This time though? Not much. But for once, someone might be there to save him. Notes: I really wanted to go back to my long lost hobby, writing, and this is going to be it. I don’t know if anyone will enjoy (or even read) this but hopefully just posting it will be enough motivation. This is my first ever FanFic and English is not my first language so bare with me…I suck with summaries. Rating and tags will be added later.Comments and constructive criticism are extremely appreciated.

Chapter 2

//Harry’s POV
Telling Ron had been liberating, telling Hermione? That had been a mistake. He didn’t think she was going to rat him out to Professor McGonagall, but he was going to get screamed at for the rest of the school year, hell maybe the rest of his life.
But it felt necessary. He needed help figuring it out, controlling it AND finding out what happened to him at night.

It all started during that summer. He started studying, researching, coming up with a plan. They studied the theory of Animagus transformation during the third year. It had been difficult to obtain the required ingredients (if anyone asked him if he stole them, he would always deny). The process was difficult, but he was a brave, determined (and quite stupid) man.
He always imagined it would be a deer, it was a quite common occurrence for a wizard’s form to match their own Patronus. So when he turned into a dragon… well he was surprised!

The problems started arising a little before the start of semester.
The first time, he woke up on the roof of 4 Privet Drive, the morning sun was rising and he couldn’t remember how or why he got there. A week later he was woken up by a newspaper being thrown at him… why? Well because he was in the garden outside the house.
He hoped going back to Hogwarts somehow stopped all this nonsense.
After he woke up in the Owlery (for the third time) he had enough. He had to tell someone. But who? His head of house was off limits and so was the Headmaster… he just couldn’t risk it. Hagrid, although trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable, wasn’t really the best at keeping secrets.

His friends were the safest option. But actually also the best one! Ron, thanks to his brother, could easily find some useful information about what kind of dragon he was and Hermione… well… she could figure out ANYTHING.
And find out something she did! After studying him for a couple of nights she found out that he was sleep-walking, transforming and flying off (Merlin knows where). Ron was also useful! He was apparently a Night Fury… a very fast, very dangerous and very much extinct dragon.

Ron was extremely excited, so much so that he started bringing Charlie's books at supper in the Great Hall, much to Hermione’s disbelief. They were bickering.

Harry wasn’t listening though. He was looking at Professor Snape. It had been a common occurrence lately, his attention drifting to the Potion Master more often than not. He didn’t know why. He didn’t want to know why. But it kept happening.
And not only looking! He started to pay attention in class, started lingering at the end of lesson (instead of fleading the room as soon as possible) and sometimes he found himself walking towards the Dungeons… Harry couldn’t understand.

“Harry?” said Hermione snapping her fingers in front of him “you are staring again.”
“No I’m not! Why would I stare at the git?!”
“Snape?!” Fuck! “Is THAT what you are staring at? What is going on?”

Harry knew he had to tell something anything to his friends, but he didn’t know what. He had no reason for his sudden interest towards the man. There was a pull… something quite artificial, foreign and strong.
All he knew was that it started when he became an Animagus… he needed to find out, needed to know. He grabbed his friends’ hands and stormed out of the Hall, the food all but forgotten.
