Chapter III: Demigods…

The night approached quickly and Wayne and Harry had a plan, only one of their parents would accept the three unknown kids without making questions. And as soon as he said yes, the rest wouldn't be able to say no. 

"Dad!" Harry and Wayne called out, as soon as James and Sirius apparated in the property

“Our little troublemakers!” Sirius said happily, hugging Wayne “How’s your hand? Did you break blondie’s nose?”

“Sirius!” James laughed as he was hugging Harry “but seriously, did you?”

“Harry did” Wayne said and James laughed, looking even happier with that

“You own me 50 galleons!” James was facing his best friend, with a cocky smile on his lips “That’s my boy” he messed Harry’s already messy hair with his hand “now no one is saying any of this to your fathers and your mother, deal?”

“About that…” Wayne smiled mischievously “If you owe us one…” James rolled his eyes “We have a favour to ask”

“You little snake” James mumbled faking annoyance

“We just have a few friends who need a place to stay for a while” Harry said with a fake innocent smile

“No questions asked” Wayne joined in, finishing his thought

“I’m sure there will be no questions asked today, but I can’t promise there will be no questions tomorrow” Sirius was the one advising them “so get your story ready today, I will love to hear it”

“What is happening here?” Remus asked, breaking the conversation, as he stood at the door of the Potter’s house “I wasn’t informed we were doing family reunions outside”

“Don’t worry Moony” Sirius smiled as he walked to his husband “James and I were just making sure they were ok”

“I could hear your excitement from inside” Remus rolled his eyes “C’mon Prongs, Regulus is trying to burn your kitchen” the man held his husband waist “And you two, we will be waiting for you and your guests in an hour!”

Harry and Wayne looked at each other both with a guilty look on their faces

“Oh, you should definitely get a better poker face before dinner too” James was laughing “You have a lot to learn yet, specially about keeping secrets from the werewolf!”

And with that James went inside too, Harry let out a big sight, Wayne was fixing his hair, they needed a better plan. As they got to the lake house again, they found Grover laying in the couch, as Percy and Annabeth were “fighting” with Star Wars lightsabers.

“Please stop, before you break anything” Harry almost begged as a saber got really close to a window

“Or each other!” Wayne helped Percy, who had been pushed to a wall by Annabeth and fell “Please put the sabre down” Wayne asked as he picked the blue saber from the ground and with a quick move, disarmed Annabeth who was completely caught off guard, but when she looked at Wayne, he seemed as confused as her

Without a second thought both Percy and Harry jumped in front of Annabeth and Wayne, when Harry saw Percy getting something from his pocket, he quickly got his wand fixing his eyes on the sward Percy was now holding.

“I’m-” Wayne tried to apologise, still looking confused at Annabeth but in a quick second a light came out of nowhere disarming and pushing away everyone

“Expelliarmus!” Remus was holding his wand up at everyone “What the fuck is going on here? Are you trying to kill each other?”

Remus picked Harry’s wand, and Percy’s pen from the ground and put them safely on the inside pocket of his jacket. Percy was now on his knees, making sure Annabeth was fine, and Wayne was on his feet, helping Harry, and later Annabeth, who just nodded to him

“Everyone to the couch please” Remus told them “And let’s talk about this, shall we?”

Percy and Annabeth sat down, next to Grover, Harry sat on a single couch on they right and Wayne was sitting on the arm of his couch, between him and the guests. Everyone started talking on top of each other trying to explain, in five minutes they were all fighting between them.

“Who are you?” Grover asked for the first time, as he sniffed the air

“Remus” The older guy answered calmly also sniffing “Wayne’s dad. You?”

“Grover” He said back “but that’s not what I meant”

“Me neither” Remus smiled “Goat”

“Wolf” He mumbled

“Oh, great” Annabeth started “really right to the monsters?” She was looking at Percy

“Hey!” Wayne almost jumped up, but Remus held him down

“It’s ok, I am a werewolf” Remus shrugged his shoulders “I don’t think we can hide that from Grover”

“He’s not a monster tho” Grover said “And neither of them are normal humans”

“I could guess that by the damn wands!” Percy said like it was completely obvious

 “Look, I’m not hurting anybody” Remus said, putting away his wand “and neither are Wayne or Harry, no wands if we can agree on no swords?” Annabeth nodded, Grover too and Percy accepted by the fact that his vote wouldn’t count to anything

“We should talk about this after dinner” Wayne got up “Before anyone else shows up looking for us”

“The wands and the sword stay with me, if that’s fine with everybody?” Remus also got up

“The sword comes back to me” Percy said as he showed him the pen, who was already back on his pocket for a while

“It’s fine” Wayne said holding Harry’s arm before he could intervene “no one is fighting, let’s just have dinner!”

Dinner was nice for everyone, Lily was able to ‘break’ Annabeth’s walls, James and Sirius loved Percy, and Grover was interested in knowing more from Remus. Harry was pouty and silent for a while, but Regulus was able to quickly end that too.

After dinner, James and Sirius helped the kids, by distracting Lily and Regulus with Karaoke night, as Remus accompanied them back to the lake house, saying he needed to go to bed early.

The environment was a lot lighter between them, they all had questions and answers, but at least there was no fighting anymore. Remus noticed that the way they sat down also changed, Percy was on the arm, next to him Wayne and Grover were discussing something about comics, and then Annabeth with Harry, as he explained to her what quidditch was.

“So...” Remus got everybody’s attention, killing the random conversations

“I guess we have some explaining to do” Grover started, not really sure where to go from there “This is actually the first time in a while where I can explain everything without being scared, we’re about to die”

“Don’t jinx it!” Annabeth rolled her eyes at Percy’s comment “Sorry…”

“As I was saying, I’m Grover and I’m a Satyr, you know from mythology? The gods from the stories are actually real, and the last time we knew they were right on top of the Empire State Building” As Grover explained Percy was almost mumbling along his little speech “Well, Me Percy and Annabeth Demigods, kids of Gods with humans, and I’m a protector. Most of the time, my mission is to protect half-bloods from monsters and take them safely to camp. Normally kids have no idea they are Half-Bloods, but their powers start to develop and as they do, monsters and us start to feel them”

Everyone was quiet, digesting everything, Remus was trying to remember his knowledge about mythology as Harry and Wayne were just kinda confused.

“How did you get to London, then?” Harry asked

“I’m not sure if our London is their London” Remus said “Unless you also have wizards?” He then asked looking at Grover, Percy and Annabeth

“I’m honestly not sure” Grover shrugged “I mean probably, but maybe not as you expect?”

“Well, the wizarding world isn’t completely on sight” Harry remembered “but how did you get here?”

“Percy is Poseidon’s son” Annabeth explained “we were kinda being held captive, and well, we jumped on the water, Percy normally is able to just take us to safety with a little help”

“For some reason, we ended up here. I’m not sure if I did it or if my father did it, I don’t really now, we don’t really talk like normal families, none of us do” Percy was trying to explain, as he kind of felt guilty of everything.

“But if your father can help, maybe the water is the way home?” Wayne suggested, feeling a bunch of pair of eyes on him

“There’s a shot” Grover nodded “But with my arm like this, its kind of risky”

“Besides, we’re not sure if Poseidon will help” Annabeth sighed

“Well, I can help with one of that, if you let me” Remus got up, and got his wand out looking at Grover

Grover, Percy and Annabeth were all kinda reluctant, especially Grover obviously. He looked at his friends, Percy was nodding, he didn’t think that would be much difference that their own healing things. Besides, Remus saved them in a way, there was no reason to not trust him. On the other hand, Annabeth doesn’t trust people as easily, she also thought it couldn’t be that different, but what if it made everything worse.

“Why don’t you sleep on it?” Remus suggested “I guess for us is completely normal, but it can be weird for non-wizards” he smiled “no hard feelings if you say no, but it will mean you have to stay here for longer, which is also fine for me” the older man got up “Just sleep on it” He repeated and took the other two wands from his pocket, while keeping his own there “please don’t try and fight each other”

Remus gave back the wands, he didn’t want to pressure Grover so the best thing he could do was leave for the night.

“So…” Percy started as they were alone” Wizards hm?”
