Handsome Stranger that seems familiar? Or not.
When he heard about a mysterious and beautiful raven-haired woman with the most bewitching green eyes, and a kindness never seen nor heard of from before- his mind immediately went to one such enchanting woman.
And after hearing that she was a magical from the source himself, especially because she could breathe in his domain for hours without any object on her- he knew it was her.
The one and only, Lady Hariel Carina-Lillian Potter-Black.
If he were Zeus, he would have immediately sought to acquaintance himself with her, and knowing his little brother, he would have made quite a spectacle of himself- which he, that he knows of, has not done yet.
...Which is rather unlike him, mayhaps it is Hera’s doing, seeing as she had been keeping an eye on him after she found out about his recent cheating scandal, which he should really personally thank her for, he thinks, especially when it brought her right into his domain.
And by the looks of it, she is neither attached to anyone for that matter, which goes very well in his favour for sure.
And unlike his fool of a brother, he is truly interested in knowing her, completely.
Which he had come to the realisation of after watching her for a while now, every little thing she did intrigued him, truly.
His eyes most especially stuck when she held her godson in her arms, all the while she was wearing that lovely green sundress, which complemented her eyes most especially very well.
Especially by the swaying she was doing now, which made her dress move in a most becoming way.
She looked out of this world, not even a nymph could have been as bewitching as her.
Which she had been doing for some time now, the swaying that is, before she then handed the boy over to his mother, he then saw.
They were once more at the beach.
But instead of relaxing at her usual spot, afterwards, she had decided to head where he was sitting at, at the bar.
He then quickly turned around and adjusted the sunglasses on his nose, waving to the bartender, once more asking for another whisky refill.
And he then felt her taking a seat next to him.
“Can I have one as well?” He heard her say to the man, in that soft, friendly, but firm tone of hers.
He was captivated then.
By her.
It’s been a long time since he heard her voice.
Especially the curious but enchanting accent she had acquired from her school days.
How many years had it been since? He then questioned in his mind.
Too long. His mind then answered, which is strange, seeing as a human’s years was just a second for them, but she truly grabbed his attention like no other- even now still.
“Put it on my tab as well mate.” He then told the bartender, who simply nodded, while he turned his eyes finally on her.
Face to face for once.
And he’s then met with her amused gaze.
She looked as enchanting as ever, now more so than ever.
“Not that you should have seeing as I can pay for myself, but thank you,” She then politely said, fishing for his name at the end then by her head tilt alone.
Which was quite the sight.
It was utterly endearing, especially by the way some of her curls fell into her face then, which she as quickly put behind her ear- an ear that had a couple of interesting piercings, well both of her ears were pierced, he then realised with wonder.
It looked absolutely wonderful on her- it was so her.
A debased part of him then wonders if she has any more of them.
Which made him quickly dash those thoughts away, seeing as it wouldn’t help him now.
He was acting like a greenboy. Which he was not, not for some millenia now.
“Sei.” He then simply told her, which he was surprised by himself afterwards, seeing as it was the nickname his older sister had called him by ever since he was a little boy, in their fathers stomach. But he was fine with it, he then realised.
For he wanted to be honest with her, on some account that is-
He wanted her to see and know him as he truly was, not the Lord of the Seas, and his a many monnikers- just him.
For her presence alone demanded it of him, he felt.
Mayhaps she was truly bewitching him then.
And then it was the way she had then said his nickname, which made even the darkness in him rumble in satisfaction.
He had to stop himself from outwardly reacting to it then, for he was starting to feel undone just now. By single name. One simple syllable.
“Sei,” His name rolled from out of her naturally red and pouty lips (which resembled rose petals), while she tested out the name, her gaze firmly on him in curiosity now, her eyes innocently wide on him.
By the seas-
“Sei,” She then curiously tested out the interesting man’s name, a handsome one in fact, which she admits in an objective manner, for he was.
And he seemed to know that fact as well, by his actions alone, Hariel knows this fact because of her father- Sirius that is, her papa.
He was very admanent she stay away from the sort, which was quite hilarious seeing as he himself fit right into that ‘sort’ as he called it as well.
But she was curious about this man, this ‘Sei’- especially by the strangeness coming off of him.
Which wasn’t a bad thing, no, he simply felt curious. She thought, not once questioning if his name was truly his name, or anything else for that matter, curse her Potter blood- for they were known for their curiousity, as her family liked to tell her, which would mostly not mean a positive thing, but she ignored that part for now.
Well that, and also the fact that he seemed somewhat familiar to her, but also not? For she is certain she has never met this man in her life before, and she would know if she did.
“Well met.” She then simply said after a moment, at which she had realised the man had been staring at her in a curious manner as well. His eyes were rather lovely, she finds.
Ocean eyes. Then came to mind, and she agrees, for his eyes were truly one of a kind, she then thought.
“Likewise, and might I have the honour of knowing your name as well?” Sei then asked, his voice rumbled in a most becoming way, she then thought in curiosity.
Continuing her inspection of him, she noted how his dark shoulder lenght hair was then swept in a most rugged way, because of a sudden burst of wind. While normal in her kinds circles, she knew some men besides wizards liked to keep their hair just as long in this time as well, what with the trends going on and off, as Nymphadora liked to speak about, whenever she would show her one of her magazines.
She knows for certain that her cousin would have already gushed over him, well if she stood next to her and, even with Remus around, in her own endearing way of course.
“Hariel.” She then simply said, which Sei smiled at in quite a charming manner.
If Sirius was here, she was sure he would be screaming at her right now, and doing some other things, like drag her away from the stranger, glare at him- or even curse him for daring to look at his pup.
Or even gut him, since she learned it from him after all.
But well, she was a grown woman, and neither was she truly interested in starting anything for that matter, even if he might be handsome.
It was simply not meant for her.
And she was fine with her life for now, even if it meant that she would eventually witness everyone she had ever come to love die before her in the end.
But well, she then stopped herself from thinking about that.
For it wasn’t the time.
‘It was never the ‘time’,’ A sneering voice then answered in her mind, which she realised was her own voice.
She simply tightened her lips at that then.
“Well met, Hariel” Sei then said with a smile, which took her away from her thoughts.
“Drink?” He then said with a simple nod, while he moved her drink towards her with a simple long and slender, tanned finger.
Stopping the drink from sliding away from her with a single finger as well, she then simply grabbed her glass in her hand, and swirled it around, before she once more turned her gaze to his expectant one then as he held his own glass towards hers.
And she then simply clinked hers towards his, before she took a sip from her glas with a nod.
“It’s good right.” He then matter of factly said, with a smile.
His teeth were shiny. She then thought before she simple nodded to him.
“It is, but I’ve had better.” She then admitted with a smirk, which the man turned a curious brow at, before he then smirked as well. Which looked very becoming on him.
Almost devilish, really.
Her papa would definitely not like the guy, not one bit.
But then again, would he even like any other guy for that matter? It must be a father thing, she then deduced with amusement.
She still missed him terribly, but it was getting better with time, she had come to realise, even if she would constantly feel as though a part of her has went away with him that day.
“I believe you, for I had better as well, but this is alright. Want to trade drinks later on?” Sei then asked, which took her by surprise, but also interested her.
Better? Better than Firewhisky? She thought, before she suspiciously turned her gaze towards his now completely focused one, which took her by surprise by the intensity of it.
But before she could give him an answer, she then felt a familiar weight in her arms, and then she heard her elder cousin’s voice by her side.
“My, my, who is this Harry?” Nymphadora asked in a teasing manner, which confused her but also naturally annoyed her, since she was getting in her usual mood then.
Only when it concerned her that is.
Which was really ridiculous. But she then felt Teddy’s soft and tiny hand on her nose, and she then heard his coo, which she immediately turned her gaze to with a smile, at seeing the question in his big bambi like eyes, he was such a precious child.
She then simply kissed his hand, which made the boy giggle in happiness, because she knew the boy was a rather ticklish one, which she took advantage off by the way she then peppered his face with her kisses, which the boy then shrieked at, all the while he softly patted her on the face to stop her from giving him any more, which she with a laugh ignored, to continue her onslaught.
He had his mother to blame for it.
His mother who was now completely focused on her newest acquaintance, which she did not realise, seeing as she was too focused on her godson at the moment.
Seeing the way the handsome stranger was watching her baby cousin, especially after hearing her laugh with her baby, and their usual antics, Nymphadora decided to question him on his intentions with Hariel.
While she on any other occasion would be quite happy of her baby cousin Harry finally scoring such a snack, she promised Draco that she would look after her, which really irked her, seeing as she was the older cousin for Merlin’s sake!
And she does look after them as the eldest, even if it might not be so in her pompous cousins viewpoint, honestly Harry was just talking to the last one, which then confused her seeing as her cousin didn’t seem to be in company of any more interested men, that were interested in her cousin (which was understandable, seeing as her cousin was quite the looker, and powerful and mega rich as well for one) afterwards- which now that she thought about was really suspicious, seeing as she remembered her younger years.
Hariel just did not seem to be interested in any relationship it seems, she then realised with a sudden sadness, of any kind.
She had only kept with her family and close-knit group of friends, no one else really…
Draco doesn’t have to know, but she would make certain that this stranger had only the best of intentions for her baby cousin- and frankly, she really wanted Harry to truly experience what normal girls her age were doing already, like for example acquanting herself with some yummy morsels-
Get your head out of the gutter, Nymphadora. She then heard a voice say in her mind, which strangely sounded like her baby cousins, wild.
“So- who might you be? And what are your intentions with my baby cousin?” She then quickly asked the man, which then turned his eyes towards her with a frown, seeing as she surprised him with her directness.
Which she only tilted her head at with an expectant gaze, which would have intimidated anyone else (she could be intimidating, alright!) which the man quirked his brow at then. He did not feel threatened by her in the slightest then, which truly annoyed her then.
He was good it seems, but for how long could he keep his cool? She then wondered in thought before she awaited his response at last.
“My name is Sei, and I’d like to be friends with your lovely cousin.” He then answered, all with a rumble, which was very hot- her cousin really knew how to fish them, didn’t she? She then thought with an impressed nod, before she focused on the man once more.
She had to stay focused, for Harry.
Draco can bugger off, and most especially because he wouldn’t know, which will stay that way, especially if it meant that Harry would be happy because of this.
Which she feels that she will, and she really hopes so. But she would not let her guard down just yet!
She was an auror for Merlin’s sake, and a very GREAT one!
‘Keep telling yourself that,’ Was a familiar irritating voice in her head just then, stupid Draco, go away from my head, you ferret.
Go shoo, fly away and leave me be!
She then noticed the man frowning at her in a questioning way, which she shook her head at, before she once more truly focused on the matter at hand.
Her little interrogation, that is.
“Is that so?” She then asked with a glint, not believing him for one bit, well not that he didn’t lie for that matter- he wasn’t saying something else, which she could plainly see, his interest in her that is, for the man wanted more than simple friendship.
And she would see if she would let him at it.
“Well that’s lovely! Seeing as Harry doesn’t have many of those. Say Sei was it?” After she saw him nod to her question she then continued with a friendly smile.
“Why don’t you tell me a bit about yourself.” She told the man, all the while her eyes were telling him something else.
For they were fierce and firm on his, which the man turned his head curiously at, before he then simply smiled at her, and Merlin were his teeth white, like one of those Hollywood actors- no, even better, for the man was a living and breathing adonis statue.
Harry really knew how to pick ‘em.
“What do you want to know,” He then asked, while he was fishing for her own name as well.
“Tonks, the names Tonks. You can start by telling me your age, Sei.” She then quickly answered, seeing as she had a task to complete, even if the man was very handsome, she would not be swayed.
Especially not by the well defined chest she could see peeking out from his haphazardly put on hawaiian shirt.
He was even more muscled than her Remus, Merlin-
He really looked like one of them Greek statues come to life…Focus!
Think of Remus, Remus with his warm brown and heated eyes, his smirk- alright stop that, focus!
We have a task to complete! Before Remus and the rest will show up that is, seeing as they were out at the moment.
The man, Sei that is, when she finally turned to meet his gaze, then simply raised his brow at her, before he nodded.
“Your worried about the company your younger cousin will be keeping, which is understandable, and for your information- I am 25.” He then smoothly answered her with a rather charming smile.
Harry really, really knew how to pick ‘em. She once more thought, before she nodded.
“That is acceptable, but that doesn’t mean I trust you, mister.” She then firmly said, before she continued her questioning, all the while her lovely cousin still wasn’t aware of them, still focused on her precious spawn, who was doing a very good job in taking her attention away from them.
She was going to give him a treat for that afterwards, her little partner in crime.
“Which, again, is very understandable, Tonks. So ask away, “ The man then once more said in that smooth and suave tone of his, which she could not know his accent from, seeing as it sounded completely different for one…Alright lets get back to the matter at hand, Nymphadora. She then heard Remus’ voice say in her mind.
Crap.
Yes, let’s.
“Do you live here?” She decided to ask, which the man then simply nodded at.
“And you do not, holiday?” The man then decided to ask of her in interest then, which took her by surprise, seeing as this was meant to be her interrogation of him, and not vice-versa!
But she then answered him in honesty, which Remus would pull his hair in frustration at if he were hear, she would later witness.
But well, it couldn’t be any harm, could it?
“Yes, we are.” She told the man, which the man then smiled at, with a curious glint in his eyes.
