The Start of the Revenge
Pandora met Regulus when they were still kids—five years old, to be exact—and they have been best friends since then.
She saw how Regulus' smiles turned into frowns when his older brother, Sirius, left their home. She saw how Mrs. Black treated Regulus badly to make sure that he wouldn't turn out like his brother, and she saw how Mr. Black turned a blind eye when Regulus was bleeding to death from the curses given by Mrs. Black.
She saw the pain that would cross Regulus' eyes every time he saw his brother laughing with his friends.
And then she saw how Regulus laughed when he got into a relationship with James Potter. It was a secret one, yes, but he can see the love in Regulus' eyes. But what pained Pandora was when she saw how Regulus' laughter turned into sobs and screams when James chose Sirius over Regulus when their relationship was revealed.
She was there when Regulus almost drowned himself in the lake because of pain, and she was tired of it. Tired of seeing Regulus in pain, the tears in his eyes, when what he truly deserves is happiness and true love as a payment for being born into a family that doesn't know what love means?
Pandora was tired, angry, and, most of all, she wanted revenge. She will avenge Regulus. She will show everyone who hurt Regulus' what they lost. She will show James that she chose the wrong Black, and she will make Sirius regret leaving his younger brother alone in a house full of monsters.
But most of all, she wants to show Regulus that he can be the chosen one. In a world where he is always treated as a spare, Pandora will always choose him above anyone else.
Now, how will she start her revenge?
"Dear, do you agree with the engagement?" Mrs. Rosier asked, holding Pandora's hand and making her jolt. "Are you listening Pandora Rosier?" Her father asked with a dark voice.
"Oh yes, father, I was very much listening to what Mrs. Black was saying," Pandora answered immediately before glancing to her brother Evan Rosier, who mouthed 'Engagement'. "I very much agree to the engagement," she smiled at Mrs. Black. "It would be my pleasure to be chosen as Regulus' future wife and be a part of this amazing family." She emphasizes the word amazing before looking at Regulus, who seems to not be here. His eyes look lost.
"REGULUS!" Mrs. Black called her son, making him tremble.
"Yes, mother?" he asked her mother, sitting straight.
"Weren't you listening just now?" Mrs. Black asked her son.
"I w-was mother..."
Pandora held Regulus' hands, making him look at her. "I'm sure Regulus is very happy to be my fiancee, maybe he is just thinking about what ring to give me." And as if on cue, Regulus called Kreacher, their house elf.
"Kreacher, go get the box in my room." Kreacher came back immediately, and he handed the small box to Regulus.
"This ring was made of emerald." The ring was small, but it was surrounded by dark green emerald, a very Slytherin thing if you ask Pandora. "I made it last summer," Regulus mumbled.
"It is so beautiful, darling; come put it on my finger." Pandora urged Regulus; she knows that everyone in the room was watching them, especially Mrs. Black. It's as if she was waiting for Regulus to mess up, and she was ready to punish him on the spot, not caring whether there were guests present, just to show her power. While Evan was looking at them like he would burst out laughing any minute now,.
Pandora felt the cold thing on her finger, and before she could speak, Regulus was already hugging her. "Thank you," Regulus whispered in her ears. Tiredness was evident in his voice, and she just hugged him tighter.
"TO REGULUS AND PANDORA!" Mrs. Black stood from her seat, and everyone followed: "TO REGULUS AND PANDORA."
This isn't too bad as the start of her revenge, wicked smile forms on Pandora's lips as she thinks about her plan.
