Chapter 2
Alysanne Targaryen
Harriet savored that name later. It was a name you wouldn't be surprised to see on a pureblood witch.
- Are those the books you took out of your vault? - Hermione looked at the volumes with curiosity
Yes, but don't make fun of me. And don't look at me wrong either- Alysanne blushed, she liked that name a lot, more than Harriet. But now it was time to play airheaded Harriet Potter, the girl who would receive the news of a ball with flushed cheeks and months in advance.
-What books have you taken out?
-They are spells to comb hair and makeup. Harriet saw Hermione's disapproving expression, the truly 'fun' books were kept in a bag with an Undetectable Expanding Charm and inside her bra. - It's important, Hermione! Let's have a dance!
-Dance?!!- Lavender launched herself at Harriet, Pavarti followed her in a more restrained way but just as eagerly- What do you mean a dance?!
Harriet explained what she had found out and the other two girls began to complain about her lack of preparation. They started pulling out their fashion magazines and looking up hairstyles and makeup. Some sixth year girls heard them from outside the room, coming in to see what was going on. Soon all the girls knew and began to prepare and plan with a frenzy never seen before.
The men of Hogwarts could only start to tremble when they found out why the girls were like this. Especially as the news spread to the other houses and the girls started to look almost predatory looking at the boys and judging them.
In the end Harriet went to the ball arm in arm with an amused Bill Weasley so that he could return to Hogwarts. Although he was quickly stolen by Fleur, they both looked at each other with love in their eyes. Harriet just wished they were happy and danced with Roger Davis the rest of the night to make it up to him for losing her dance partner.
------------------------
No one believed that Harriet Potter had put her name in the Goblet of Fire, especially since she had been saying that she had read the evidence they put in the past. She had stated many times that she would not put her beauty in jeopardy for a glory she already had from defeating Voldemort as a baby.
Also, when they said the day the other schools would arrive, she had cursed and said that something bad always happened to her on Halloween. When the events had come up with her name it seemed Draco Malfoy had made a small fortune. The Slytherins had made a betting board on what traumatic event would happen on Halloween and apparently half the upper classes had joined. And that includes students from all houses.
After all, Harriet Potter was an unlucky beauty. When the time came for the first test, the dragon simply looked at her as she walked through the arena.
-You are a beautiful being. So beautiful. -- Alysanne stroked the beast, immediately feeling the connection. – They have put a fake egg in your nest, I come to pick it up.- The beast nodded and let her look at her eggs with pride- I'm sorry, I'm only allowed to take the fake egg. Although I would be honored to take one of your young as my mate.- The dragon looked impossibly disappointed.
-----------------------------
Harriet watched as her uncle installed a lock on her door and one more latch. Dudley had tried to sneak into her bedroom last night. But with Dudley's gifts for stealth he had woken his parents up and they left the room thinking they were being robbed.
After that had come the screaming. Especially after Dudley tried to say that Harriet had invited him to her bedroom. But Harriet had denied it, her aunt had threatened her about what she would do to her if he found her jumping into a man's bed before her marriage. She even took an oath for her purity
Having made that point clear they had turned angrily on their Duddeykin. Although it was a shock to Dudley, it was not to Harriet. Petunia hated everything related to wizards and what was not normal. And for her that Dudley wanted to have sex with her cousin was an abnormality.
Incest was something only practiced by the weirdos, by the hopelessly deviant. Aunt Petunia had taken Dudley to a psychiatrist in London that morning to try to cure the deviations and when they came back they had brought a bolt for Harriet's door. Plus a very angry Dudley. According to the psychologist, it was normal in sexual awakening to have feelings for family members, but it should be controlled and, if necessary, a chemical elimination of sexual desire would be required. Although it was obvious to Harriet that the psychologist had found a gold mine with Dudley
Harriet didn't see bad incest, a magical world where everyone was related, but she would never touch her cousin. Not for all the gold at Gringotts. What's more, she was talking to her cousin's psychologist when some dementors started roaming around Privet Drive
--------------------------------
Sirius was with her in the Black family tapestry room. There was the face of her grandmother, Dorea, and her grandfather, Charlus. It was so rare to see another person with silver hair and purple eyes, but Charlus's eyes were a very light shade of lilac.
-Your grandfather took me in when I ran away at sixteen. He stood up to my mother and negotiated with my grandfather. – Sirius looked at the face of Charlus- The best man I've ever met. Thanks to him I was not totally disinherited
- What do you know about my family, Sirius?
-Far more than Dumbledore, Alysanne- Harriet looked at him with a questioning gesture- To marry a Black you must give something in return. A relic or knowledge. Your grandfather told us about Westeros under the oath that only the head of the family would know. I know that the Veil is one of the doors, but I don't know where the other one is. Also…-The man pulled a dragon necklace from his shirt-They gave me this in case he ever had to go to Westeros.
-------------------------------
Dolores Umbridge was furious, she hadn't been able to punish Harriet Potter for any reason. The girl was the perfect definition of a pretty and goofy girl. Polite and helpful, always lowering her head
Was that thing going to save them from the Dark Lord that Dumbledore kept saying he had resurrected?!
-Professor Umbridge, I think you have dropped these scrolls- The girl smiled sweetly and with empty eyes as she held out a scroll towards Dolores
The girl hadn't even broken the wax seal on the scrolls labeled Ministry secrets.
While Dolores was mentally struggling Harriet was planning to kill her while she was bandaging Colin's hand. She would get herself killed very slowly for marking children.
-------------------------
Harriet felt the familiar magic as soon as she reached the room with the mist door. That door, that frame…. It was the Veil. The ancient family magic washed over her and she heard the sounds of thousands of different wills. She had seen the gate finished, so the Veil was… A mere scratch between worlds.
-I know where we are- Ron said- That's the Veil of death, once you cross it you cease to exist, it consumes you completely. Not even your soul remains to remind you
Did they believe? Alysanne touched the stone arch.
-This has magic from my family. A Potter created this
The next thing that happened was a skirmish and seeing Sirius fall through the Veil. The man smiled at Alysanne before slipping into oblivion.
------------------------------
Alysanne looked at a very tearful Remus and sat down next to him.
-He is not dead
-What have you said?
-The Veil was created by a Potter, it is a portal to another world. Sirius must have arrived safely on that world. But it is an incomplete door, there is another that allows to come and go
-Let's go get him! We can't leave him to his fate!
-I can't tell you where the door is, I swore to protect it from everything and everyone. What do you think Voldemort or Dumbledore will do with otherworldly knowledge? In a less technologically advanced world with hardly any magic? ----Remus fell silent. He didn't even want to think what Voldemort would do in another world with almost no magic. He would create the perfect paradise of his for the Death Eaters. And Dumbledore... Remus had grown very disillusioned with the man in the last year. --- That's the homeworld of the Potter family, that's why my hair and eyes are unique, in this world. Sirius knew it, we'll wait until the end of the war and go for him. I swear to you, Remus, we will bring Sirius home.
-----------------------
- -You're not the silly girl I thought you were. -Dumbledore looked at her with a gesture of recognition in her eyes despite being dying.
-Of course not, but I have fooled you all very well. Now Voldemort will never see me as a real threat. You know, director, if you want to fool your enemies, you'll have to fool your friends first.
The old man nodded thoughtfully. Before entering the cave. That night he would die, but if he didn't he would have to rewrite most of his plans. He had drawn them up thinking of Harriet Potter as a foolish and loyal pawn, not a hidden strategist. She wouldn't walk to her death willingly
------------------------------
Harriet looked at her aunt as she looked around the living room of her house one last time. The silly woman was complaining about having to leave her house.
-If you stay they will kill you
-I know, you lost your mother, I lost my sister. Even with her abnormality and her mistakes she was my sister. In time I would have made her see reason and give up magic, we would have reconciled. - The woman tightened the straps of her bag-I miss that moment when it was just me and her, without magic or anything else. ---Petunia looked at Harriet. - I've done my best for you. Now you're alone, even if this ends soon, don't come back to this house.
Harriet watched her go and sighed. That had been the closest emotionally close thing Petunia had ever said to him.
---------------------------------
- Do you have a dragon locked up?. ----- Alysanne grunted as her hands still had sand from digging Dobby's grave.
- It's not what you think, Lady Potter. The dragon killed three clutches of its own young in a row. He is considered too dangerous to be in the reserves. They would have killed him, but we bought him to watch the vaults. His aggressiveness is very useful to us
Griphook cursed under his breath as they fled the bank later that week. He was on top of the dragon that, though surly, had bowed to Alysanne. They were now flying towards the mountains with a runaway dragon.
-------------------------------
-Come home- Alysanne put her hand on Remus's chest and looked at Tonks- You both go home
-We can fight!
-I know what it is to grow up without parents, I will not do that to my godson. You can come tomorrow, fresh combatants against the tired Death Eaters. But go home, leave memories for Teddy, and then come back.
---------------------------------
Alysanne pushed Fred away and felt her side burn from the curse that had brushed her. She kept fighting until she reached Snape. She then she saw the memories. She walked to his death willingly.
She was ancient blood from another world, she ruled over dragons, she had countered an army of trained mages with students. She would not succumb.
And she was later proven right when she raised her arm in victory over Voldemort's corpse.
---------------------------------
Alysanne held Teddy as Nymphadora smiled fondly. They arrived for the second half of the battle and were very helpful by being rested. They were amazing on defense and attack. They even managed to take out Greyback and fifteen other powerful Death Eaters
-I want one just as cute- Alysanne said untangling her hair from Teddy's hands
-Within ten years- Remus growled- When we find someone worthy of you
-Come on, Remus- Andromeda smiled- Even you have to admit that Harriet has many suitors. Surely there will be some good boy among them
-Even if there is, I won't see it. I've decided to go on a trip, to the country the Potters originally come from. I want to see if I have any family left
Remus looked at her and she nodded. Remus smiled as he drank some more of his tea.
--------------------------------
Sirius Black sneezed and the man next to him turned to look at him.
-Have you caught cold? This winter is being very hard
-I'm fine, Prince Rhaegar. Just a little wince- Sirius looked at the silver-haired, purple-eyed man who looked so much like his Alysanne. He had taken him in after seeing the shield on his neck. He had given her a bed and a home, where others would only have stolen or exploited his magic.
Sirius was now grateful for his mother's fencing lessons, because thanks to that he could be a knight by the prince's side.
---------------------------------
Alysanne looked at Charlie and then at the dragon eggs.
-Do you know that this is very illegal?
-I know, but during the war we didn't control the dragons well and they copulated uncontrollably.- Charlie blushed.-There is a limit to how many dragons can be born each year of each species. These eggs were to be destroyed. But I know you're going to another country. Take them
Harriet thought of her grandfather's travel journal to Westeros and her complaints about the absence of dragons. She would take them back to that land, fix the balance
