You couldn't wait for this Hagrid person to show up, so you can get started on this new life. You still couldn't believe you were a witch! Yet, it explained so much of the strange things that happened around you. And now that you knew you had really be the cause for all those things, you couldn't help but feel really bad. You looked forward to learning to control your magic at Hogwarts, so those kind of events wouldn't happen anymore. You couldn't bear the thought of you being responsible for someone getting hurt again...

You were pulled from your thoughts by a gentle knock on your door. You looked up, from you position lying on the bed, as the door opened.

"Are you awake, dearie?" Came Ms.Thornberry's gentle voice.

Before you could answer, the door has fully opened. Ms.Thornberry became shocked at the sight of you, and the deep bags under your eyes.

"Oh, my! Just look at you... Did you get any sleep at all dear?" She asked concerned.

You simply shrugged your shoulders.

"Not really. I was too excited to sleep." You said nonchalantly, going back to rereading letter.

Ms.Thornberry frowned at you.

"No we've talked about how unhealthy that is, dearie. A growing girl needs her rest, especially when you have a big day today." Scolded Ms.Thornberry gently.

You winced sheepishly, and sat up properly in the bed.

"Sorry, Ms.Thornberry. I really did try..." You said in a small voice.

Ms. Thornberry let out a small sigh, and softened her features.

"Oh, I know dear. It's alright. Why don't you put down that letter, and come down for some breakfast. You can try and take a nap after."  She advised.

You nodded and got up from the bed. She ushered you over, and you walked over to her. She put an arm around you, and guided you out of the room and downstairs to the dinning room. You were surprised to find it was empty.

"Where is everyone?" You asked curiously.

Ms.Thornberry walked over to the counter where a plate of flapjacks were waiting.

"Oh, well they finished eating already. They're out playing in the yard now. I came to check on you since you didn't show up yet." She said, as she brought the plate to the table.

You took a seat at the table, and she took a seat opposite from you. You grabbed the maple syrup on the table, and poored some onto your flapjacks. You picked up your fork, and began digging in eagerly.

"So dear, tell me how your talk went with Mr. Dumbledore. Did you decide to go?" She asked.

You nodded your head quickly.

"Mmhmm! Ihem e-tied-ed to goo!" You said through a mouthful of food.

"Oh, ho, ho! Don't talk with your mouth full, dear! But it sounds like good news." Ms. Thornberry said with a chuckle.

"Sowey!" You apologized, mouth still full.

This made her laugh more.

When you finished eating, you put your dishes in the sink. You then headed back up to your room to get a much needed nap. You crashed as soon as you're head ate the pillow. It was around 7:30 am when you went to bed, and you woke up around 12:45 pm.

You woke up with the sun high in the sky, and the sound of chatting and clattering dishes coming from downstairs. Must be lunch time then. You got up from you bed, and quickly made the bed. You went over to your wardrobe, and took out a change of clothes. You changed into your new outfit, and brought your dirty clothes out to the laundry shoot in the hall. After sending the clothes down the shoot, you went to the 3rd floor bathroom. Once inside, you looked in the mirror. The bags under your eyes were lighter, but still very present. You used a brush to fix up your hair, and washed your face in the sink. You then used the facilities, washed your hands, and left the bathroom.

You headed downstairs to the dining room, and lunch was indeed in full swing. Ms. Thornberry had made beef stew for lunch. Everyone else was already eating, but Ms.Thornberry had of course saved you a bowl. She noticed you, and smiled.

"Oh, good! You're up, dearie. Just in time too!" She exclaimed, waving you over.

You walked over to her, and she handed you your bowl. You thanked her, and went to take your normal spot at the end of the table. The other kids still didn't want to sit next to you, but at least they had gotten used to you be being back.

It was a little while into lunch, when several loud knocks sounded from the old oak front door. Then there was a loud bang, as the door fell down. Everyone froze, all eyes going towards the entrance. In the entrance loomed a large figure over 8ft tall.

The figure ducked in order to enter the building, stepping over the fallen door. The figure turned out to be a large bearded man. The children around you had thier jaws dropped, and you had dropped your spoon in shock.

"Oh my!" Gasped Ms.Thornberry.

"Oh, Sorry bout that." Said the giant man in a deep voice.

The man bent down to grab the door, and lifted back into place. He then turned to face everyone. He akwardly looked around the silent room, and cleared his throat.

"I'm here for a (Y/n) (L/n)..." He said, looking around the room to see who that was.

Excitedly you stood up from your seat.

"You're a giant!" You exclaimed excitedly.

The man seemed startled, and gave a bit of a forced laugh.

"Ah, haha, she, she don't know what she's talking about!" He sputtered nervously.

You were the closest to him, and he bent down to talk with you in a hushed whisper.

"Now why did Dumbledore go, and tell you about that for? It's supposed to be a secret!" Asked the man in a hushed voice.

You got even more excited.

"Oh, you're Hagrid then! And you're really a real Giant?!" You whispered excitedly.

"Only half... Wait! Dumbledore didn't tell you?!" Asked Hagrid startled.

You shook your head, hopping up and down a bit.

"Nope! But you're a real Giant! Or, well, Half Giant. So cool!" You whispered excitedly.

"Oh, I shouldn't have that... Look, this stays a secret between us, alright? I don't like people knowing." Said Hagrid.

"Oh, okay. I'll keep it secret." You promised.

Hagrid smiled, and gave you a heavy pat on the shoulder. You almost fell over, but managed to catch yourself. Ms.Thornberry nervously came over to you, pulling you away from Hagrid with a hand on your shoulder.

"U-um, hello there... Sorry if (y/n) offended you. She doesn't mean too..." Apologized Ms.Thornberry on your behalf, not having heard your whispered conversation with Hagrid.

Hagrid straightened himself back up, and waved her off.

"Not at all. Sorry bout the door by the way. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts. It's a pleasure." Said Hagrid, holding out a large hand.

"Oh! You're the fellow Dumbledore said would be coming today. I'm Ms. Rosemary Thornberry. Honored to meet you, dearie." Introduced Ms.Thornberry now relaxed, shaking his hand.

Hagrid went to shake your hand, and your hand completely disappeared when you shook his hand.

"Come, and take a seat dearie. Join us for some lunch, before the two of you head out for your big day. I made Beef Stew!" Ms.Thornberry welcomed warmly, gesturing to the side of the table with a bench.

"Don't mind if I do." Said Hagrid, taking a seat on the bench at the table.

He took up half the table, and Ms.Thornberry brought him a bowl of beef stew. You took you dear again, which happened to be opposite to Hagrid at the table. Everyone went back to eating, with Hagrid complimenting Ms.Thornberry on her cooking. The other children were still wary and avoiding Hagrid, but he didn't seem to bothered. Ms.Thornberry chided them and told them to be more polite,  but you found it nice to not be the only different one for once.
