Harry Potter Snape stood and watched as his husband's coffin got carried down by six of their grandchildren. His and Severus’ two sons and three daughters stood by him, comforting him as best they could as they watched their father placed gently on the stand, the six each kissed their fingers and placed said fingers on the coffin before joining their parents and Harry.
At the age of one hundred and forty, Severus passed away peacefully holding on to Harry's hand as his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all surrounded him. He had seen his great great grandchildren the day before, not wanting them by his side when he passed away.
Harry looked around and saw all the people Severus had wanted to come had actually turned up. He allowed himself a small smile.
At the end of the service, Harry got up and walked to the front and stood and faced all who had come to pay their respects before looking at those who actually looked happy Severus had died. Clearing his throat, Harry unfolded a piece of parchment. “My dear Severus, my husband, my best friend, my bonded, my everything. When we found out my dear Severus didn't have long to live, my husband planned.” Harry looked across at the people who actually looked happy. “There was a reason you are all here today, my husband wanted you here. Personally, I don't care if I ever see any of you again as you have been nothing but negative with how we have lived our lives, but this is what Severus wanted. He wanted you all here so I could read out to you the little speech he made.”
Harry took a deep breath before he began reading. “Many of you are wondering why you have been invited here today. You all know who you are. Those who never accepted me and Harry and our family, how it wouldn't last, the rumours you started in hopes it would end us. Some of you didn't give us one hundred days, and yet we have not only lasted one hundred years we have children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even a few great great grandchildren. So I would like to say to you all who have been proven wrong.... Fuck you. Fuck you all. And if after this you are that angry you want to dance on my grave. Please. I invite you to do so. My husband needs a reason to smile on this day.”
Harry looked on as he saw his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren snicker before looking over their shoulders at the people who the speech was aimed at and saw them all stand up in fury and leave.
Harry walked into the family room of the large house and smiled at the painting above the fireplace. “Severus.”
Portrait Severus smiled. “My love. How did it go?”
“They weren't at all happy, two tried to walk over your grave. Electric shocks Severus.”
“They should be thankful I chose that over crucio. I am just mad I didn't see their faces.” Severus looked closely at Harry. “How are you coping?”
“I'm not. I will be with you next week.”
“Dad no.”
Harry looked over his shoulder to see his oldest Evan walk in the room.
“I'm sorry Evan. I miss your father too much. We have never spent a day apart. Yes I can live on but I have decided. I will be with your father within the week. He is my bonded. I am tired and in so much pain my son.” Harry looked from his son to Severus. “It's time.”
One week later all of Harry and Severus' children and grandchildren and great grandchildren all gathered in the family room and looked up at the portrait. Evan stepped forwards. “Where is dad father?”
Severus only smiled as he opened his arm as Harry walked into it and wrapped his arms around Severus’ middle.
“I'm here.” Harry said as he looked up at his husband. “Together again.”
“Always.”
The end.
