The Wish

Draco was trying to reach out for a dark, beautiful butterfly in his dream while his body was in his emty bedroom. He was lying on the ground, bleeding and shaking. The monster was there too a few minutes ago. His fingerprints was all over the beautiful blonde. Anybody who look at him could see them easily and of course anybody who see them would feel sorry for him, except nobody did. In this house, there was no mercy, there were only the Monster and his Dark Marked slaves. Each of them was as evil as the Monster, maybe some of them was even worst. All of this cruel beings wanted to see him fall from the sky where he supposed to be.

Draco was whining in his restless sleep. No matter how far Draco reached out, he couldn’t manage to touch the butterfly and he began to cry. He felt a terrible despair because he could never touch it, even in his dreams. He couldn't touch it because he didn't deserve it. He knew very well that he had no right. So he cried and cried. He cried so much that he started to feel like he was going to drown in his own tears.

He cried because he couldn’t touch the butterfly. He cried because he couldn’t be saved. And he cried because of his mother. Because he couldn’t protect her. In this despairing dream, Draco made a wish. He wished his body back. He wished his mind back. He wished his mother back and he wished him back. So Draco Malfoy began to fade from the present, and his wish gently carried him back, all the way back to the beginning.

He woke up in his 11 years old body and realized he was still in his bedroom. But this time he was wearing his sleepers, wrapped in blankets on his soft bed, and his mother was watching him with worried eyes.

“Draco! Thanks Merlin, you're awake! How do you feel?”

Draco smiled with teary eyes.
