When You Are Young They Assume You Know Nothing

August 23rd, 1973
London, England

Regulus was a good climber, and quiet too. Sirius used to say he was too quiet, especially when they'd climb trees in the gardens and the woods. Dorcas and Barty met him at the back of Grimmauld Place, Regulus having already done his first job and put a spell on Sirius' shampoo to make his hair purple when he used it. Dorcas explained she'd done similar to the Gryffindor chaser Marlene McKinnon's shampoo since she lived pretty near her and knew the McKinnon family. Barty had done the same with Potter's shampoo when Barty's dad went on a work visit to the Potters' home. Evan had done Lupin's, and Pandora had dealt with Pettigrew's.

The rest of their night was running around London having their fun. Eventually Regulus climbed back up into his room to find Sirius stood there, hair fully purple. Regulus hid a laugh behind his hand. "What happened to you?" Regulus asked, feigning innocence.

'You and your bloody friends did. You little shit.'

"Sirius, calm down. It'll go away in like three days."

'I hate you.'

"Okay. You have James Potter for a brother anyway. Now get out."

'Gladly.' Sirius turned, left and slammed the door.
